Thinking about Nieke in earthspark
Megs has tried to contact Soundwave to tell him “Hey man, you’re a dad” except Soundwave just never picked up.
I can imagine at some poit Nieke getting lost and ending up near the cells and noticing how one of the prisoners (Soundwave) look a lot like her.
So she just takes a wild guess and asks “Are you my dad?”
And Soundwave just has to do mental gymnastics because this kid looks an awful lot like him and Megatron. It takes him some time to connect the dots, 'Is this why Megatron kept calling me?'
Takes him a couple of days and he’s in absolute shock that he and Megs had a kid.
#megasound family au#except it’s divorced and earthspark#soundwave#I’ll refer to this AU jokingly as ‘That one AU where Soundwave forgot to pull out’#Oc : Nieke ☆

So you've heard Earthspark Season 3 is pretty good
Or maybe you just want to see the small screen's post-IDW take on Everyone's Favorite War Criminal (I'm not judging) but you heard season 2 is a hot mess.
Fear not! Under the cut, I present the cliffnotes of season two, so you can easily go into season three without having to watch season two! (or even season one, I guess, because I'm an overachiever)
Season Two Cliffnotes:
Decepticons are bad again. Starscream is in charge.
Something (I forget what tbh) creates 'chaos energy' and 'chaos terrans' which are terrans, but 'born bad'. They're named Aftermath and I forget the other one, but she's essentially Twitch's evil twin.
At a carnival, Mo, and the Terrans (I think all of them? idk it doesn't matter) get caught up in the nonsense of a guy named Fairmaestro. The big twist is Fairmaestro's super cool UFO space carnival ride is actually Cosmos! He fucks off into space at the end of the ep. Meanwhile Robbie meets a girl named Izzy and has a crush.
The Decepticons have also decided fucking off into space is a good idea (they want to go back to Cybertron. I forget why the Autobots don't want to), except Starscream wants to kill Megatron and OP or something, I don't remember, so they don't. Or they might've been trying to get control of a space bridge?
Mo and Thrash (I think? Definitely Mo though) meet a Quintesson.
Starscream does Stuff and raises a Titan named Terrortronus who lives under Witwicky (I think), and is powered with chaos energy. (see above), which ends up draining Aftermath & Twitch's Evil Twin of energy. Starscream also gets something called the Cyberslayer (I think) that can kill cybertronians. But also bring them back?
The kids and the Terrans realize they can 'sync', which means they turn into a combiner ship thing or something and create a dome around Terrortronus and part of Witwicky, which results in all the Decepticons being contained. Because Starscream is stuck inside Terrortronus, Shockwave takes over the Decepticons, whose goals are now to 1) escape 2) fuck off to Cybertron.
Season 1 Cliffnotes:
First, I really recommend watching season 1! It's very fun and stands on its own.
Robbie and Mo (siblings) find the Emberstone and get these cool cybersleeves, which allow them to feel each other's emotions. Finding the Emberstone also brings about the creation of two new bots (Terrans) named Twitch and Thrash, who are Robbie and Mo's partners, respectively.
The kids' mom, Dot, fought in the war and is buddies with Megatron, who defected to the Autobots at some point. Their dad, Alex, is a college professor and a Bumblebee stan.
Transformers/Cybertronians are known to humanity and there's even a comic series about them!
The Autobots & Megatron are working for a secretive organization called G.H.O.S.T. (I forget what it stands for). G.H.O.S.T. has lots of secret bases and whatever. Agent Schloder works for G.H.O.S.T. and is also a Bumblebee stan.
Bumblebee and Breakdown are umm "brothers"
In the midseason finale (I think) Robbie and Mo end up creating three new Terrans: Hashtag, Nightshade, and Jawbreaker. Hashtag's whole thing is social media (obviously) and Nightshade is a nonbinary science prodigy who makes a whole secret base for the Maltos, Autobots, and Terrans. Jawbreaker is just kind of there for comic relief and/or secondhand embarrassment.
The main threat is a guy named Mandroid, who hates Cybertronians. G.H.O.S.T. eventually becomes a strong secondary antagonist.
Eventually the Autobots and Decepticons team up to take down Mandroid/G.H.O.S.T. These last two points aren't actually mentioned in season 3 but in the interest of full context, here you go.
F.A.Q.
Q: Um, I heard Tarantulas was in this show?
A: He's in Season 1 Episode 13, "Missed Connection". Unfortunately he doesn't show up again afterwards :( but he is in my heart, always.
Q: Soundwave ep? Is he divorced?
A: Watch Season 1 Episode 8 "Decoy" for all the answers.
Q: Is Wheeljack really yeehaw?
A: Yes. Laserbeak is ALSO yeehaw.
Q: Why don't the Autobots want to go back to Cybertron?
A: I honestly don't remember.
Q: Are you a Prowl stan? Is that why you made this post?
A: Per my blog description: "despite the title of my blog, i am actually a soundwave stan."
Unfortunately, Soundwave doesn't have enough screentime in this show (especially season 3) to justify a "Season 2 Cliffnotes so you can see Soundwave". Prowl is another favorite, though.
Q: Is Season 2 really that bad?
A: To be entirely honest, it killed my interest in transformers for the last five months! YMMV.
There. I've done it. Go enjoy Prowl.

Soundwave for the character ask, and to be silly Dry Bones too
For Soundwave:
How I feel about this character
One of my favourite Decepticons and definitely one of the major legacy characters of the franchise for good reason.
All the people I ship romantically with this character
Shockwave for our fic and just generally speaking, but as for specific continuities, I ship him with Cosmos in IDW1, Sideways in Cybertron, Hot Rod in Cyberverse, he and Megatron are definitely divorced in Earthspark, and this is going to sound like an odd choice, but in Animated I kind of ship him with Slipstream, since while they never met in canon, back when the series had just ended, I read a continuation fic that had them meeting after the series finale and forming their own team of Earthbound Decepticons before eventually forming a romance, which has since stuck in my brain when it comes to shipping those characters where Animated is concerned.
My non-romantic OTP for this character
I've always seen Ravage as the cassette Soundwave gets along with the best, and I also loved his friendship with GI Joe's Mainframe in the IDW comics.
My unpopular opinion about this character
As much as I like the Megatron loyalist characterization from the cartoon that's become the definitive personality for Soundwave, I wish we'd see more iterations that drew from other versions of the character, like the self-serving blackmailer he was described as in the original G1 toy bio.
One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon.
I want to see him interact with more of his classic cassette companions than just Ravage, Laserbeak/Buzzsaw and Rumble/Frenzy. It'd especially be fun to see a traditionally loyal Soundwave bouncing off a Marvel/IDW style self-serving would-be Deception leader version of Ratbat.
For Dry Bones:
How I feel about this character
I really like playing him in Mario spin-offs for the aesthetic, and I like the "like other easily defeated grunts except it won't stay dead" gimmick as a Mario enemy.
All the people I ship romantically with this character
Can't actually think of any for this one. Probably doesn't help that I see Dry Bones more as a species than as an individual character.
My non-romantic OTP for this character
For this one, I can actually say I've always seen Dry Bones and Boo as a de facto duo in games where they're both playable, and think they should be treated as an official pair the way Peach and Daisy or Wario and Waluigi are.
My unpopular opinion about this character
...Got to be real with you here, I don't think there's that many unpopular opinions one can have about Dry Bones of all characters.
One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon.
If we ever get an all-new classic style Paper Mario game (fingers crossed that the Thousand-Year Door remake's success leads to one), I hope we get a Dry Bones as one of the partner characters.

i am so good at media analysis
Image ID and deranged ramblings under the cut:
[Image Description: A chart titled "the Greater Witwicky Polycule," centered on Alex and Dorothy Malto. It has lines to connect many of the characters from the show, and the lines connecting them are labeled with the relationships, real or headcanoned, between the two characters connected. Dorothy and Alex Malto are connected with a line labeled "Married" with a heart emoji. Alex Malto is connected to Mandroid and Bumblebee. The line from Alex to Mandroid is labeled "and how do you two know each other?" (exes), and the line from Alex to Bumblebee is labeled "cute little gay crush," and is a one-way-arrow from Alex to Bumblebee. Bumblebee is connected to Breakdown with a line labeled "definitely something going on here." There is a gay pride flag emoji after it. Breakdown is connected to Knockout with a line labeled "boyfreidns?" The misspelling is intentional. Knockout's box on the chart is labeled "(please please please pleas epleae)." This is also intentionally misspelled. Dorothy Malto is connected to Megatron with a line labeled "Partners." Megatron is connected to Starscream with a line labeled "oh god.", and to Soundwave with a line labled "bitter exes" with a broken heart emoji. Megatron is connected to Optimus Prime with a line labeled "previously divorced (working things out)" with a rainbow emoji, a black heart emoji, a hands-forming-a-heart emoji, a robot emoji, and a sparkly heart emoji. Optimus Prime is connected to Elita-1 with a line labeled "can't explain it but. theyre lesbians" with a red heart emoji, a trans pride flag emoji, a face-with-three-hearts emoji, an emoji of a car facing right, an emoji of a truck facing left, and a two-hearts emoji. The car and the truck are positioned to look like they are kissing. End image description]
some context:
this was a collaboration between me and my older brother who got me into transformers. we're so normal about this i promise. quote from him: "is some of what's in the show just ship bait? perhaps. but they expected to catch a fish and not a kraken. and boy oh boy i am pulling this boat down with me"
"Greater Witwicky Polycule" is from the memes about the "Greater Seattle Polycule"
Dot and Megatron are referred to in the show as partners. headcanon they're in a qpr type thing. amica endurae
I know Knockout isn't technically in Earthspark. but. hear me out. He Could Be
Optimus Prime gets so many emojis because he would like them. i chose kinda randomly though. except i did go omg this truck emoji is facing the other way... trucks kissing... love wins
Alex has a celebrity crush except the celebrity is living in his house and is friends with him
Bumblebee and Breakdown in the show are described as "really close friends. like brothers" and we all know what that means don't we. something lgbt is going on here
why are Optimus Prime and Elita-1 labeled as lesbians? yuri is when theres themes and motifs. "you will never understand a warrior's bond" sorta situation
#maccadam#transformers#transformers earthspark#tfe#earthspark#not tagging all the characters sorry#hope y'all enjoy this <3#my posts

Ok just finished the 10 episodes of Earthspark. I love it. The animation is insane, the FIGHT SCENES? Beyond beautiful.
I love Megatron. His design, his voice, his dialogue. The fact that he’s still kind of a decepticon (his decepticon insignia is incorporated into his ghost one). There’s a picture of him in a live laugh love photo frame. He’s so protective over Dot I’m crying. He called Twitch little bird and carried her under his wing during the fight. He refused to really hurt the cassettes and held Laserbeak gently. HIS DAD ENERGY IS OFF THE CHARTS.
And SOUNDWAVE. Sir I am looking respectfully. Vengeful divorced dad with unhinged kids energy. SUCH a big change from his character and I love how he is progressively more feral/angry in each new iteration. Also the cassettes not being loyal to Soundwave (except Ravage)? That’s interesting, wondering if it’s got anything to do with the fact that one of them EXPLODED???
The designs for Skywarp and Nova Storm are so so beautiful. And Skywarp finally used the warp! Don’t have anything I dislike so far. Though with the introduction of the three new Terrans at the very end I’m slightly worried that there might be too many new characters all at once, and we’re not going to get enough screen time to properly see character development for everyone/ it might feel too crowded - cause even tho I love the new characters I still wanna see my old favs.
Anyways! Super excited for the rest of season 1!

StarWave?
Before I answer, which Wave? I think you probably mean Soundwave but you could have also meant Shocky.
OK this is anon so you won’t know I asked. I’ll just have to do both.
Starscream/Shockwave: maaaybe? could be fun! Mad science love affairs are always fun, and you know that each of them has at least one angle, usually more. I would like to see this in a fic. I’m particularly fond of Shockwave discovers An Emotion fics so I am all for it.
Starscream/Soundwave: NOPE
This is almost NOTP for me, but it’s not as much of a NOTP as Cosmos/Soundwave is, so at least there’s that for ya?
First of all...Ravage/Soundwave is my OTP, except in Cyberverse where there’s no evidence Ravage ever existed. Now, Soundwave has two hands (and an immense number of cables even in G1 where you only see them a couple times). But I prefer that his other hand be attached to either Jazz or Megatron.
If they do it in Earthspark I will be very disappointed unless it’s a “Soundwave has two hands” situation involving both Ravage and Starscream. I don’t know enough about ES Starscream to have an opinion on whether he is good enough for my space husband, but...Ravage/Soundwave is my absolute OTP, and in Earthspark, they have shown us all the cassettes giving up on Soundwave except Ravage. I know that it’s probably not going to happen because idiots will consider it bestiality despite the fact that she’s smarter than Bumblebee is, but that doesn’t mean that anything which replaces it will be easy for me to love.
In Cyberverse, Ravage doesn’t exist, but in Cyberverse, Starscream is the absolute worst, and Soundwave is as always the king mech of my heart. Plus, Soundwave and Hot Rod have hearts in their optics even at first when they’re still annoying each other, so in CV I ship Hot Rod/Soundwave, and yes, Soundwave has two hands, but CV Starscream is a Quint collaborator who tried to destroy their universe. I like Starscream generally, but not this one.
In G1, I can’t see it. Soundwave is deeply loyal to Megatron and Starscream keeps trying to murder him.
In Prime, people who write this are almost always Megatron haters and Autobot stans. And they make Soundwave helpless, which I hate. Megatron is pretty gross in TFP and he’s terrifying, but he respects Soundwave and they’re obviously very close. Every Starscream/Soundwave TFP fic I have ever read involves Megatron raping them both and usually getting one of them involuntarily pregnant, at which point they flee to Optimus and his amazing Autobot healing spike. Gross. This makes me puke.
Megatron is an asshole when his brain is on dark energon, but he loves Soundwave at least as a friend, and since he was an ex-gladiator turned freedom fighter, I really don’t see Megatron raping anyone ever. Addictive, hard drugs make you do worse things than you’d ordinarily do, but usually they only make you do things completely outside your moral compass if you’re desperate to get them and someone else who has them is making you do that thing.
Ravage is canonically dead in TFP, but I like to think that Megs and Sounders both loved her and that this might even be part of what’s making Megs so whack, although he’s clearly not over his divorce from OP.
Anyhow, it’s possible that I could like this maybe if the people who wrote it weren’t always trying to make me pity them both and worship OP’s dick.
In IDW1, even Riptide, who is not on anyone’s top 10 IQ list, has managed to notice that Ravage was in a messy triad with Megatron and Soundwave and that Ravage is being forced to make a decision that Ravage does not want to make or acknowledge. The way Rav and Wave met in IDW is super romantic, and nothing shouts “broken triad” like telling your lover to go murder the other third of your triad when that person betrays you both and also you want to know which of you two she loves most. Meanwhile, I don’t see enough interaction between Starscream and Ravage to have any basis for shipping them.
In TFA Soundwave is robot Pinocchio and not really Soundwave so who cares?
In the UT Soundwave is a Unicron agent and Starscream is desperately trying to be good so I don’t see that happening either.

Thoughts on Earthspark!Flatline (spoilers for the most recent episodes)
Follows the standard version to begin with, except that part has to be set in the past, as the war’s over in the present. Flatline has cut ties with both Autobots and Decepticons, as he doesn’t want anything more to do with their conflict.
Being a former member of the 'Cons, GHOST has Flatline on something of a parole/house arrest. Flatline is allowed to live in a cosy, out of the way (and bot-sized) laboratory-slash-summer-home, but he probably has to give GHOST something in return in order to keep his freedom. Most likely, this is either his occasional services as a Cybertronian medic, or the manufacturing of bot-compatible medicine - thus far, we don't know who's been patching Optimus and Crew up after their battles, and having a Doc-Bot on hand would make it easier for the humans
(Note: Tarantulas mentioned that GHOST either imprisons or indentures 'Cons, so there's enough precedent for me that one of their prisoners could be contracted)
Flatline’s much happier in his current living situation, for the most part left alone in peace and able to work. It's not a perfect arrangement, but it's better than living in a cell. I also think he's on a tighter leash than he believes, and Croft is fine to use Flatline for her own benefit until there's adequate opportunity to eliminate him.
Flatline wasn't at the battle for the Allspark, or at least was fighting further away from the space bridge. So he was told and currently still thinks Shockwave died in the battle! Nobody has told him the truth yet! (At first Megs wanted to avoid further confrontation, but the half-truth went on for so long that at this point, it feels like it's been too long to come clean)
Dealing with Shockwave's 'death' was messy and Flatline was just as angry as to be expected. 15 years of no war, and presumably finally being convinced to work on his personal issues, have done a lot to heal those wounds, but they're definitely not gone. Especially if he were to find out he was lied to.
More divorced energy than other versions
Flatline has probably been inside the GHOST base when they needed greater repairs on one of the 'Bots (which means there's set-up for potential future drama)
ES!Flatline is more combat trained, a result of how long his service lasted before the war ended
Overall, he's doing pretty alright! It's not perfect, but it's the closest he's felt in a long time to his pre-war self. He's happy.
I would like for him to meet the Maltos at some point, although I don't know how that would happen. Maybe they go on a hike in the woods and find Flatline's place, idk, that could be fun. Flatline isn't a kid person and he's a bit of a bad influence, but I think he could handle not being terrible to them
Physical design notes:
There's a seemingly 'out of place' stripe around his thigh, which is actually painted over his Decepticon symbol (there's no GHOST symbol on his person either)
Flatline's syringe is a mix of the Prime and Gen 1/TFA versions - he's missing the middle finger on his right hand, and the harpoon-like blade is embedded in his wrist/forearm (the pointy bit takes the space of where his middle finger would be. Kind of an Assassin's Creed situation)
Has a similar facemask to his TFA version
I'll probably stay with the helicopter alt mode, although there's more options to potentially choose from if I look at other alt modes he's had (i.e. plane, scorpion).
#Flatline (OC)#subject to change depending on any further episodes#but here's my current thoughts on lore and design#Earthspark spoilers#there's a couple other things I had in mind for his physical design but they're hard to put into words

THE Top 5 List Of All Time
okay per @stillness-in-green's question. and something really important that i'm sure ALL of my lovely fans, yes you i am talking about you and blowing you so many kisses, are dying to know. my Top 5 Gay Little Henchmen.
house cleaning first i'm excluding spinner and spinaraki from this list just because i've given spinner a lot of attention the past few weeks and have already extolled his virtues as a gay little henchman and how i think he really embodies this trope and he's so special to me i wanna cry about him like every day oh my god. oh my god. but that would be unfair considering the intensity of my current feelings (that have been consistent the last three years eyyy) anyways here's the rest of the list.
5. okay i will be honest this guy does not really count except fully on a technicality and bc of how much i love him. but enrico poggi from the stravaganza series now this is very much like, a junior high/middle school kind of series. but enrico is such a great dynamic character who spends like the first half of the series being a big opportunistic skeezy lackey tormented by the mysterious disappearance of his lackey and then the latter half of the series being like okay yeah i can work for the protagonist. and by the end has wholeheartedly devoted himself to the main character. and like he's significantly less homoerotic than a little henchman should be but he's a spy assassin who's squeamish and is good with kids and great with horses and will eat everyone's food and he's a good lil henchman with a full character arc and i love him on want him on my list. he could gay up a lil if i tried.
4. i said i wouldn't include spinner BUT DIDN'T SAY SHIT ABOUT ANY OTHER BNHA CHARACTER NYEH HEH HEH. it's really hard choosing between like redestro (to shigaraki) and trumpet (to redestro) and nemoto (to overhaul) but ultimately i have to give the bnha crown to ujiko for his devotions to AFO, primarily for plot impact and relationship longevity, but also because ujiko is sooooooo cute about AFO it makes me weep a little bit. for real.
3. isaac from castlevania 2017 eeeeyyyyyyyy now i never actually finished castlevania. because i got really lazy. but isaac was an immediate favourite and i know the scope of his character arc after the fact after losing dracula and it's so charming so charming. i've heard the "all so fucking rude" line it's BRILLIANT and also the idea of a henchman having to figure himself out after losing his boss..........groundbreaking. i need to finish the series one day or get the isaac supercut. only thing is that he should be shorter. but i persist.
2. soundwave babyyyyyyyy. specifically g1 and prime continuities, and to my understanding parts of the comics (idw series specifically - never got in depth with it but i know soundwave had Great Loyalty in it). from what i understand earthspark has fantastic divorced megatron/soundwave energy to it as well, though i am still heavily debating with myself how much i should watch it for myself. now soundwave doesn't get as much love as he SHOULD but his unwavering devotion to megatron and the decepticon cause.........the way that can so easily be shattered.........when the series lets soundwave be extra competent in an especially sexy way....... magic. also could be smaller but in g1 he turns into a tape deck, prime a skinny lil stealth jet, it works
before i reveal my number one i wanna give some quick special shout outs. harry/uma is not gay even though they both carry some energy. i've never actually watched disney's the descendants in their entirety but i did watch all the harry/uma scenes and it's good. it's a good ship. ummmm commander peepers, i never actually watched wander over yonder but i saw this guy around a bunch and immediately loved him from the start he's so tiny and such a go getter :) uhhh okay meowth doesn't count unless you read into his "fantasies about giovanni" era which is whatever but he is the blueprint for my love for henchmen overall and also just tiny fellows who range from antagonistic to just annoying. and gay lil henchmen are a subset of that.
and a different shout out to izzy hands from our flag means death. i am aware about the discourse surrounding the character i have read a lot of different meta from different perspectives and i got some context for various arguments. and i have decided that izzy hands is a great example of a gay little henchman even if stede is really hard for me to get past when trying to watch the show. i wanna know him so bad but it's difficult when i have to glaze past the main character.
AND NOW NUMBER ONE IS.........DRUM ROLLLLLLLL.........
gus grav from bakugan: new vestroia real kota fans KNOW THIS ABOUT ME this is the guy that really cracked me for the gay evil little henchman. is he from a good series. no. are he and spectra well-written characters. no. but he has such luscious hair and put his coat over spectra like a blanket and he tried to show spectra the joy of juiceboxes and he went on the run with him and he tried to fight a guy who insulted spectra despite being told not to and DIED for it but didn't actually die he just showed up again and previously spectra had a sad moment about gus not being around and when gus shows up again spectra is like "wow about time" or whatever. listen i had a lot of feelings about gus being "killed off" and then just unceremoniously brought back and then in a latter series when he shows up with spectra as a good guy with a new outfit BUT I CAN'T SEE THE OUTFIT IN ITS ENTIRETY? also the episode where he tries to fight a guy for spectra and dies, he disguises himself by tying his hair back and wearing a lil waiters outfit and putting on glasses AND AGAIN, CAN'T SEE THE FIT IN FULL, WILDLY HOMOPHOBIC. gus was really one of those characters that clicked hard with me despite everything and ignited my mind like few others could. of course this was also during my naive teenage years so i was also shipping him with his boss' younger sister but i stand by that and still think it would be funny. but gus grav was the first time in my memory that i went "wow. homoerotic devotion to the point of obsession and self-destruction is kind of sexy." and for that he will always be so special and influential to me.

So I watched Earthspark and I liked it, but the one thing that worries me about getting into earlier TF is that I'm worried nothing is going to meet my wants Fully, if that makes sense. Animated and Beast Wars are the big two that I plan to watch, but in the former, from what I've read it's a lot of human villains when I like Decepticon politics, and while i hear that comes in it's only Later. Meanwhile, with Beast Wars, I'm told it's very good, but I'm going to miss human/Transformer relations (THE MALTOS ARE GREAT). And from what I've researched and you've said, I'm not doing the aligned universe, G1 will probably be fine but i'd need to prime (heh) myself for stupid schemes of the week and animation errors. What else is there, in terms of shows?
The editor is piping in here to say that is EXACTLY why they didn’t watch earthspark first, they do not envy you. They also recommend tf victory (if you can watch subbed anime)
On animated dont worry, there are human villains running around but they’re not bad at all, and when the decepticons show up they’re so good. For beast wars I know it seems like you’d need humans but there’s actually so many transformers (without being overloaded) that have interpersonal relationships that work so well it’s so much fun and the best written show overall.
I will recommend both Armada and cyberton, they’re both really good on the human transformer relations, which you would think make me rec the unicron trilogy as a whole but I’m telling you energon is so bad and nonsensical you will fall asleep (I watched it while playing palia on my switch to be fair, but ask anyone they all hate energon). It’s not a REAL trilogy to be fair you can watch all of them on their own they don’t actually have plot points in common, it’s the English dub which tries to connect them. I’d say if you can watch subbed anime (unlike me) you’d have a better time watching the Japanese EXCEPT!!! Gary Chalk and David Kaye as Optimus and Megatron are unmatched they as so fucking good that you do need to watch the dub, this is the ultimate megop I’m sorry to Peter and Frank but Gary and David are the best at making this relationship work.
As for aligned Prime is unwatchable if you like modern cartoons like me (as in like earthspark, that post Steven universe era emotionally intelligent stuff yk) however robots in disguise isn’t bad so I would recommend it. The overarching plot isn’t good but the regular character hijinks are great. And the humans in this show are a kid and his divorced quirky dad and they’re genuinely really sweet and work so well like they are TOP tier humans of everything I’ve watched so far. RID makes up for Primes shortcomings on everything except the mess of the politics of the overarching aligned continuity, but I’m telling you it doesn’t matter as a whole.
And g1, yeah you have to get in the mood for the 80s cartoons, and you will need to make a note pad to try and remember who all the guys are (I mean that. They do not go 5 at a time they throw everyone at you immediately, you’ll need it for things like trying to spot the difference between prowl and blue streak who has no blue). It’s like 87 tmnt, it’s a classic, but it has some eh and even iffy stuff sometimes (the country of ‘carbombia’ for one) . But the voice acting is top notch and it will hit you with stuff that will have you shocked by it’s soft sincerity sometimes, the characters are so beloved and you NEED TO START HERE. This is the basis of the franchise these are your cliff notes. It will help so much to start here. And then don’t skip the transformers the movie (1986) after s2 of course, I cannot recommend that highly enough.
#the tf binge watch#as far as everything I’ve seen that’s what I can all highly reccomend at least#I’m going over the fucking chart we just made LMAO
