saw someone compare jayce to ballister and I am sosososososooso annoyed do you not understand basic themes!!!!
#jayces character is about having inherent privelige and having to decide what you do with that#and addressing unconscious bias and also the descent into moral corruption as he goes further into politics.#ballisters character is about the struggles of being a minority and viewed as lesser and framed for the white rich peoples wrongdoings#and having a strong sense of justice and a desire to work your way up to what you think will make them (the white people) like you more by#being more palatable and working for their system and hoping that maybe they'll see you as a good person despite being not one of them#(spoiler: they wont)#and even pushing other minorities under the bus to reach that (see: his initial treatment of nimona) but growing to realise the system is#flawed and biased so hes doing what he can to make their world a better place for him and everyone else so they dont need to hide anymore#shaking#idk if i articulated that well but god i am annoyed
