SureSigns VM8 provides you with essential measurements for a variety of care environments in one easy-to-use, compact patient monitor. Measurements include user-selectable 3 or 5-lead ECG, pulse oximetry, invasive blood pressure, non-invasive blood pressure, respiration, basic arrhythmia, continuous temperature, optional sidestream capnography and optional recorder, with up to 96 hours of measurement trends.

Latest features include apnea alarms, which for monitors without CO2, can sense changes in transthoracic impedance between the right arm and left leg of the ECG cable set. For monitors with CO2, apnea alarms are based on the patient’s airway respiration rate, which is calculated by directly measuring air movement in and out of the airway. A new algorithm from Oridon (SARA) helps reduce clinically insignificant low-respiration alarms. An enhanced patient menu contains added patient ID input fields such as MRN, Transaction/Visit, Location, and Operator. These IDs can easily be entered with a barcode scanner (optional). Intuitive navigation puts your most commonly used features at your fingertips. And using the VM8 has become even easier with the addition of tool tips, import/export of configuration settings, and options for printing waveforms (7 or 20 seconds).
