hi zoz, what are your favourite movies? all genres!
just curious because i have been looking for New Things and we seem like we might have similar tastes!!!!
- kitty
hi kitty. my favorite movies... hmmm... honestly, i need to watch more movies, myself... any of jordan peele's movies have definitely been a hit, but they can get bloody. the mitchells vs the machines, that puss in boots movie, and the wild robot were pretty cute, if you're into animation? wendell & wild was fun too. neverending story and labyrinth have been some of my favorites since i was tiny, if you can put up with the 80s puppetry and cheese. zombieland's a little gory what with all the zombies but it's also one i adore, though you might've seen it already. most anything from hayao miyazaki... i've honestly been watching so few movies lately i seem to be having a hard time remembering all my favorites ;w; homeward bound's been a favorite for a long time too...... i keep forgetting i'm writing an answer to this, if i think of any more later i will let you know!

How I spot AI music on YouTube
I made this for a friend recently, so I though I might elaborate and make a big post about it because I have seen many people making this same mistake.
This is not perfect nor infallible. There may be real musicians who have all the red flags on this list, and there may be AI accounts that have none of these. Never be rude to any of them, because while we can do our absolute best to avoid AI, the reality is that we will never be 100% sure. We never want to falsely accuse anyone of anything. That being said, I am going to accuse a lot of channels in this post. Because I'm willing to bet my leg and a lung that they're AI. Falling for AI is not a moral failing. It's getting harder to pick these things out and we need to be more critical than ever. Many of these points in isolation does not an AI channel make. Be thorough and be diligent. This is the process that I use. Feel free to drop some more tips if you have any.
-> Channel Age
If a channel was created in or after 2023, proceed with caution. New musicians are releasing music constantly. There are genuine artists who made their account yesterday and there are accounts from 2011 that have become AI channels. That being said, there was a large influx of these AI music channels throughout 2024. Don't make your judgment off of channel creation date alone, but if it's a newer account with many subscribers and high view counts, be suspicious and keep a look out. You can look at a channels age by going to their channel page and clicking "...more". An extended channel description should pop up. From there, you can scroll down and find additional information about the channel.
The channel posted here, L'atelier de Musique, is an example of a very new account with a high subscriber rate that is not AI.
-> Upload Frequency
It's rare for an artist to upload hour+ long videos once a month. When looking at a channel, scroll all the way to the bottom of their channel and see what their old videos look like. When did they start posting? How has their content changed? Improvement and change in art over time is very natural, so changes in skill-level are not necessarily a red flag.
Do they upload long videos frequently? If so, how do they produce so much so quickly?
Here is an example of an AI channel who has put out 32 ~hour long videos over a span of 6 months. That's five videos a month! Roughly five hours of music being produced every month! Look around the channel to see if you can find other platforms where they have posted their music. It is possible that someone is posting a large back-log of content, but if there is no evidence of a process or previous production, then it is likely being mass produced.
-> Copyright Information
Some accounts do not claim to make the music they post. Making Spotify playlists into YouTube videos is not hard, and some channels do frequently post long videos. If you're not sure if an artist is making their own music, check the copyright information! Copyright can look very different from video to video. Here are a few variations.
Youtuber Rita wild made a playlist called "Ultimate silly playlist for boost energy". In the description of this video, you can see all of the music featured in the playlist and who made it. YouTube has even linked some of the songs.
This is the description for Nobonko's album, "nobonoko - Music For Animal Cafés [FULL]". Not every artist will go into detail regarding creative influence, tools used, and who helped them, but these are all very good signs that music is not AI-made.
"Pawprint Panic! (FULL ALBUM) | NAPCAST" by Napcast is very simple, but has direct links to other artists featured in the video.
These two examples from AI channels have very simple copyright, with the one by hny. not having any credit to the musician at all!
-> Community Spaces
Not every artist will have active community spaces, but an active social media presence can be a good sign. Musicians want their music shared, and interacting with your community is a great place to build up a fanbase.
In the channel description for Camiidae, they have links to multiple websites where he hosts content and interacts with others.
He also has a (very awesome) website (im a little biased i love bugs) where you can learn more about him and his work.
Not every artist wants to be known online, and that should be respected, but details about a musician or artist as an individual can help us discern between AI content and non-AI content.
Not all artists are native English speakers, so grammatical mistakes and limited communication are not always a sign of AI. Limited contact with a community should only be an issue if the channel falls in line with other points on this list.
Here is an example of an AI channel that has no additional information about themselves or their music, nor do they interact with their community or have a presence elsewhere. Limited communication and no community space is further proof that this is an AI channel because of the simplistic and seemingly incomplete copyright and upload schedule.
-> Comments
This one is tricky, but looking at who interacts with these videos and how can aide us in identifying AI content. I have no proof of this, but I fully believe that AI channels inflate their views with bots. If most of the comments in a video are pretty broad or don't address the content in a video directly, they might be bots.
These are the top comments on this video. Now, I'm not saying these are all bots (some of them are, for sure), but notice how all the comments are either about the title of the video (matcha latte) or the video as a whole. None of them mention specific points of the video they like or describe specific qualities of the music they enjoy.
There are all the comments this video has. Out of 15k+ views, not a single comment about any specific quality that the music has. I don't have any solid answers for this, but it does make me think!
Why does no one talk about the music directly? Is it because these are bot comments, or is it because there isn't anything of note to talk about? Why is the view count so high but the amount of comments so low?
Here are some of the top comments from the video "rooftop GROOVES mix • DISCO, HOUSE & GLOBAL GROOVES • Dj Isaac Varzim live @ OUT Rooftop" by Isaac Varzim. While there are some comments that look exactly like the ones on the AI generated videos, we also see comments about specific moments in the video they like, as well as specific actions or events that describe how people are interacting with this music.
Genuine interactions are a sign that people are finding and enjoying this content organically.
-> Conclusion
AI music is a thing now. It's everywhere on youtube. I'm very sorry if I ruined some channels yall liked, but I hope I also introduced you to some musicians that you could turn to instead!
You are smart and capable, and falling for AI does not make you stupid or a bad person. Sometimes folks just need a nudge in the right direction. Please support real-life artists and musicians as much as you can!
There are a ton of other ways to stop AI music that I didn't put in this list, but if someone wants even more ways to check if a video is genAI, let me know. I'll try to type it all out.
Sorry for the long post. Thank yall.

When I was 12, back in 2020, I was grappling with my identity as something other than human. Although my mother is a coyote and my dad is a bobcat, I could only find so much guidance from therians of other species. Advice was broad, general, and could only be applied in so many places.
I see the same issue today. Resources for therians are catered to the typical canines and felines. I see very little resources for ursines, equines, and elves. God help you if you're anything other than mammal.
In response, I'm working on a website to help other ursines along their journey through therianthropy. I only equipped to help other ursines.
I urge you, if you have an atypical type that isn't well seen, and you feel equipped to make resources, make resources. You'll be helping newly awakened therians looking to find comfort, to find themselves, along their journey.

Delusion is 100% a valid and acceptable reason to be alterhuman. Nowhere is it required for you to have any other feelings or beliefs towards alterhumanity other than what you feel you identify as.
