Hello!

I know we’re all hating that ACOSF isn’t with us tomorrow as it should have been. This was a quick one-shot I did to make up for everything we literally have no idea about in terms of ACOFAS and Nesta’s POV. I was going to release this tomorrow, but I am still hoping we get a teaser tomorrow and I wanna get lost in that, so I let this little sad monster baby fic out today🙃.

Nesta had always been a quick learner.

She didn’t need to see or experience things over and over to grasp the concept from the first time. Her eyes took in each detail and committed it to memory. Her ears, they listened, whether it was silence or shouts surrounding her. And her mind, it was alert. Always alert. 

Too alert.

Sometimes, Nesta wonders if perhaps she can silence the thoughts if she stops breathing. Holds her breath under the bathwater just long enough to make the terrifyingly, electric thoughts from racing around in her head. The bathwater that she hasn’t managed to stay under since she became Fae. That bathwater is perpetually useless should the need arise to drown herself. But it’s not for a lack of trying.
