Boss/Matt Miller & Kinzie Kensington from Saints Row IV
We wore the Boss & Kinzie outfits from the Saints Row IV teaser image to PAX East 2013 originally and had an absolute blast in them and after that, Heather did a couple of other Kinzie costumes in the same vein - her cabinet portrait and the press conference outfit, while Nate also did Matt’s cabinet portrait outfit as well!
Later that summer we were joined by Bria in D.C. to take some fancy presidential shots while the Washington Monument was getting some work done~ just pretend Zinyak did something to it and it was getting fixed. ;D
(Also, one of the photos features the Saints flag we sewed from scratch that had people on Facebook go off about us desecrating a flag when it’s the most lopsided set of stripes we’ve ever put together and not even the colors of a normal flag!!!!!)
OTHER COSTUMERS: @chaosbria as Asha Odekar! <333
PHOTOGRAPHERS: So many thanks to Denis for the D.C. photos and mega thanks to @chaosbria for spending time after work in the conference room to get the podium shots that Heather later photoshopped into the press conference photos, heheheheheheheh~

Nate & Heather as Sokka & Suki from the Avatar: The Last Airbender
At Katsucon 2013 we had a huge Avatar group and it was TOO MUCH FUN. <3 We were going to do Sokka and Suki in their normal outfits but with how much we laughed at the tent scene + the fact that a bunch of crap was going on that season and we ran out of time to work on stuff (we have like... Kyoshi Warrior Suki a quarter done fkasdjfklasjfd) we thought going with these two versions would be a blast and IT WAS. xD
COSTUMERS: @thewhalebaby as Katara, @orosnake (Neoqueenhoneybee & Ceratopian) as June & Song, @bethiichancosplay as Toph and ChocoboNuggets as Zuko!
PHOTOGRAPHERS: Many thanks to Roger for the 4th and 5th photos and TLY Photography for the first two!

Heather as Quark from Zero Escape: Virtue’s Last Reward
At Katsucon 2013 we were supposed to have both Dio AND Quark done but Dio (and his damn coat) were proving to be a real bitch (kind of like Dio lolololol sorry I had to) so only Quark made it as a new costume. Nate ended up wearing his Junpei which was actually pretty awesome for group photos due to... game... story... stuff I won't get into, and we got to reunite with some of our favorite lovelies from the original 999 costume group a couple years before!
COSTUMERS: Zero III - hitobooty, Luna - Voxane, Tenmyouji - HayabusaKnight, Phi - Leesers, Sigma - Mike, Clover - Ukraine Kraine
PHOTOGRAPHERS: Many thanks go Smile Jade Photography (middle photo) & Swoz Photography (group and other solo shots) for these photos!

ICYMI: We had to restart our IG account for our Jacen/Tenel Ka project (link in the post above)~! New pieces/gifs/photos/costumes coming soon once we settle into our new place!(!!!) :D
“I think my suitors have had enough time to plot your d e a t h .” “I’m glad I could bring them t o g e t h e r .”
Dark Nest: The Joiner King
Our IG account was disabled for a reason we’re unsure of/weren’t told so we had to start a new one. If you were following us over there (thank you, first of all! :D) you can now find us on IG here!
It’s sad because we made a lot of SWEU friends over there and now all the people we were following and all the posts we made are just gone. :( Anyways, we’ll be starting over on IG and if you’re a fan of Jacen Solo and Tenel Ka we’d love to see you over there!
We’ll be working on some new pieces (photos, gifs, etc.) for this project soon! We’re in the middle of moving places at the moment (for real, not just IG accounts, hehe) so we’ll be back with new stuff in the near future! Thank you! <333

Heather as Tenel Ka Djo (Queen Mother outfit -- described below) from the Star Wars: Legacy of the Force series (feat. Nate as Caedus/Jacen!)
Many thanks to Bria & Nic for the photos (and Bria for the braids)!
This Tenel Ka outfit was loosely based off of DiHA-Artwork's Art Nouveau Queen Mother piece and I want to fix it someday to fit the art better (like how do I even re: actual hair?) -- who knows if I can fit into the dress anymore though, oyyy. I also need to fit the cape and shoulder armor together better (thanks to Abby for helping me clip it on here!)... I need to experiment with everything but originally this was worn in 2013 and I haven’t done anything costume-related in years BUT ONE DAY I WILL FFFFFFFFF.
A bit from the original post about this outfit that will always fit: This little area in the atrium of the Gaylord National worked perfectly for photos and we all joked about LOL SECRET HAPAN GARDENS and all that jazz because at the end of the day we are a bunch of Star Wars geeks and always will be. ;)

Nate & Heather as Frenchy & Marcos (Icon Crew) from the Dance Central series
We debuted these at Katsucon 2013 cause we’re dorks and we couldn’t resist. We also had Glitterati at that con but we thought Icon Crew would look so good with the group we had (ALSO SO OUT OF PLACE LOL). We couldn’t wear them for too too long through because 1.) they were kind of hard to see out and 2.) they were FRICKIN’ HOT.
But they were super fun all the same and we were so glad we pulled them together. We miss Dance Central. <3

WE WANT TO SEE YOU AND SEE YOUR ART AND/OR CHAT WITH YOU <33333
So I went on a tangent over on Twitter a month-ish ago when another game company announced they were closing their forums and moving to Discord.
It made me realize how much I really missed forums and how good they were for being able to see people’s creative works, chat, get to know people and even do things like book clubs and RP. There was no algorithm that got people’s conversations/art/etc. lost in 3 seconds flat (or never shown at all…? thanks social media i guess?) and I saw so much more from people I wanted to see stuff from.
BASICALLY I STARTED A FORUM AND IF YOU WANT TO JOIN PLEASE FEEL FREE TO :D
I really want to have a place where people can share their stuff and other people can actually see it? I don’t know, I’m sick of missing so much good shit from people because the MAGICAL ALGORITHM thinks I don’t want to see it even though I’m following people which means I WANT TO SEE THEIR POSTS??????
Anyways, come join the Chaos Coterie! <3
Here is a cute bb walrus cause I thought this wall o’ text needed a picture. :p

HAPPY 2021! Here's to this year being hopefully a gazillion times better than 2020. :B We've wanted to do Sonia Nevermind and Gundham Tanaka costumes for an eternity and we've had the wigs for almost that long as well. Since we just finished Super Danganronpa 2 on stream we thought we'd put together a special celebratory NYE Sondam with hamster Four Dark Devas of Destruction kigurumis!
One day we will get to their actual costumes (and maybe a couple other versions as well, hehehe)~

Nate & Heather as Sigma & Luna from Zero Escape: Virtue’s Last Reward
At MAGFest 2013 we debuted our VLR costumes which we had finished last minute (naturally, of course -- this is us, after all) before the con! For real, we were painting the stuff on Sigma’s jumpsuit like the night before we left. :B
Mega thanks to Jeremy for getting the first, third and last two shots of these costumes! Also, thanks to him for putting up with us when we found the weird sprinkler timers and were like “OMG IT’S LIKE... IS THIS A BOMB WE HAVE TO GET A PHOTO LOLOLULUOULOLOL.” we’re nerds i apologize. D:

WE'RE A LITTLE RUSTY ON OUR SNARK AND STYLE!! ...but we had to show our love for our favorite Glitterati darlings on their birthday with some black and blue (+ some silver)! And drinks, of course. ;D
June 4th was the birthday of our favorite Dance Central crew -- The Glitterati!
We previously put together original outfits for their birthdays in 2013, 2014, and 2015 and we wanted to do it again in celebration of the newest installment of the Dance Central series!
Random facts: These glasses (and some sort of drinks) have made appearances in every set of birthday photos we’ve done for them -- as well as a DC3 costume preview shot we did back in 2012!
Also, the silver shoes Heather is wearing for Jaryn are the shoes she wore to our BioShock wedding, hehe.

We’ve been working on this project for a long while now and it’s finally done -- the shop is open! :D
(Also, Heather’s been working on a certain Doki Doki Literature Club costume.)
First off, we wanted to thank you all for your patience! ;) This is a journey we started in the spring of last year, when Heather needed an activity to do standing up (her back didn’t like her with the website coding and the writing and the sewing all seated and whatnot – standing desk soon, hopefully!) – and after discovering we both enjoyed messing around with dye colors and scents and realizing we could make some inspired by our favorite universes and parts from them, we ran with it.
We’ll be introducing more scents from here on out (as well as more Tripwicks and a section for misfit candles, which we’ll get into in the near future!), no worries about that, but for now here’s the shop with all the ones we introduced so far! (The candles are in a joint shop with our fandom inspired photography project, but we promise that the candles are really easy to find! ;D)
As of right now, there are a few of each in stock and we’ll be making more as we go along (once we see which ones we’ll need more of)~! We’re also working on getting international shipping running and we’ll keep everyone updated!
THANK YOU! <3333 – Heather & Nate

Yusuke: “I cannot wait to paint this! It will be a masterpiece. It represents so much. I’ll call it THE CAPITALISM OF--” Futaba: “I don’t care what you call it. Just paint it so I can get out of these stupid lights and back to my game.”
Welcome to another year of “we didn’t make/debut a lot of costumes this year :(” -- but one we did finish and wear to MAGLabs (there will be a post on the costumes w/ real photos soon! :D) was the dynamic bickering duo of Futaba Sakura and Yusuke Kitagawa of Persona 5.
We loved these two from the moment we saw them and it got even better when the snark began. So of course, we had to go ahead with these costumes. It’s great though, Heather got a new winter coat out of it. :D
We hope your holidays and new year are amazing and we will see you in 2018!

Heather as Tenel Ka Djo (original Queen Mother outfit #4 of A BIG DUMB NUMBER of original outfits) from the Star Wars: Legacy of the Force series (feat. Nate as Caedus Jacen & Jesse as Teneniel Djo! <3)
LET’S PLAY A GAME CALLED WHICH ONE OF THESE PHOTOS DOESN’T BELONG
Hint: it’s the third one in the row of three photos SORRY I GAVE IT AWAY.
I originally made and wore this jumpsuit for Dragon*Con 2007. It was the first jumpsuit I ever made, I jacked the zipper up but I was still proud as hell of the thing and pulled it back out for Dragon*Con 2012. As you can see in the single 2007 photo here, I had one of my old lightsabers I made, a different headpiece (I feel like the 2012 one is much more fitting) and didn’t have the capelet thing I made for D*C 2012, which was inspired by the Hapes Consortium symbol that’s also on the patch on the chest of the jumpsuit.
I had a ton of feels in this outfit because it’s a Queen Momma one and Jesse and I were pretty much sobbing the whole SWEU meetup about how Teneniel never got to see her daughter kick ass on the throne, etc. etc.
Also, Caedus feels. Stupid Caedus. >:B
