For most, if not all, all of these games, and definitely the two you mentioned, pokemon and skyrim?

the target audience is the male gender.

Yeah girls/women buy the games too

Hell, I've had every pokemon game for godknows how long,

But look at the statistics.

More guys than gals buy the game, so they're gonna try to appeal more to the guys.

Could you imagine if there was a video game where you can create your character and the default character was female?

Like imagine if in, say, Skyrim

They’re like “Who are you?” and it turns the camera around and loads up character creation and it’s defaulted, from the get-go, to female Nord instead of male Nord

Could you fucking imagine the outrage that would cause?

Could you imagine how many people would get irrationally pissed off and write angry articles on Kotaku n shit about how the game “forces feminist agendas on its players” if for once, just once, the default was female instead of male

And no, random doesn’t count. If it’s a game where the character creation screen defaults to a randomly generated character every time, or one of multiple presets, that doesn’t count

And neither does any game where there’s multiple races and one of the races is primarily or only female

I mean:

>Start the game >Create character >A female character shows up >In order to be male, you have to click the Male checkbox >Female’s pre-selected >Every time

Every game I have literally ever played that has a female option always has male selected by default, literally every time

Even Pokemon! “Are you a boy or a girl?” has the cursor on Boy by default

I have never, literally ever, played a game where it’s defaulted to female, and I guarantee if it ever happens, there will be an obnoxious amount of delicious, delicious outrage from people who don’t want to admit they hate women

i think part of the reason why i love disney’s hercules so much is that the idea of a sassy hades resounds so deeply with me as a person who has siblings. like imagine if you were rich as fuck and had to live in what’s basically the flooded basement of the entire world while your brothers fart around banging everything in sight. if i had to live in a literal swamp and listen to stories about poseidon turning into a horse to get sexy with demeter i’d probably have no fucking patience too

"Lesbian" isn't a sexuality. Homosexual is.

Omnisexual, Polysexual, Pansexual? They're all sexualities.

I'm not saying our flag shouldn't be up there. Hell, the gay flag is up there, and we're clearly seperate in the term LGBT, so there's no reason for the Lesbian flag to NOT be up there.

Just, the way I see it your being pro-Lesbian in a way that's anti-pansexual/omnisexual/polysexual.

A minor detail that has always baffled me: Seemingly all of the Solitude tapestries are damaged. Where the other holds have visibly damaged tapestries, they also have at least a few in good condition (usually near the Jarl). Solitude appears to be the one exception.
