jkr doesnt understand anything about america if she thinks the northern and southern states will share the same wizarding school lollll. like the south would have formed its own school anyways after, if not before or during the civil war?

hell east coast and west coast magic has got to be different (european settlers on the east, mexican/hispanic in the whole new mexico, arizona, cali area). 

not to mention historically black wizarding schools would have absolutely been a thing bc african magic survived thru slavery hello??? not to mention under slavery and jim crow laws i highly doubt black children would have been allowed to study with white students. you could even make the assumption that white slavers forbade them for using their magic at all (african magic = dark magic and all that Fun Racism)

I didn't add that since there are so many native languages spoken in Canada and it didn't seem right that they'd only teacher one or two. Personally I'd think there would be elective courses that students could take to learn native languages

Canadian School of Witchcraft and Wizardry Headcanon/

Probably somewhere in the territories.

E.g Nunavut, Northwest and the Yukon.

The school is bilingual 

French classes for English speakers and English classes for French speakers are both mandatory for all students throughout the years.

Unlike Ilvermorny and Hogwarts they don’t have ‘houses’ but rather students are separated by year.

Quidditch is played there but a magical version of Lacrosse is more popular.

Teams for each province/territory.

Since they are so far up North it is super cold and kids from the warmer areas of Canada are shocked cause yes it can drop to -50 °  in the winter.

Wizards and Witches in Canada are known for wandless magic since Indigenous people’s style of magic was taught in school.

Some of  herbalists and potion-makers come from Canada, many are Indigenous witches and wizards.

Prejudice when it comes for blood-status isn’t common.

Unlike in Europe, or even the States, blood status isn’t really thought about.

Sure there are known ‘Pure-blood’ families but it isn’t like in Europe.

Squibs still attend school.

There are even special classes for them.

Multiculturalism is a big thing since students are coming from all over the country with different backgrounds.

They hold a fair in the summer before end of term called the ‘Carousel of Cultures’ where everyone shares parts of their cultures.

Since Ilvermorny is close they have tournaments in Quidditch against them a lot and the schools are fiercely competitive.   

To Muggles or No-Maj’s (Both are used cause EMPIRE!) the school looks like a snowy mountain.

Students regularly see the Northern Lights.

Surprisingly no dark wizards come out of Canada.

Unlike American the Canadian Ministry of Magic never banned Marriage between a Wizard/Witch or a Muggle/ No-Maj.
