Hello, hello, hello! I want to share about the Laurel Art Guild in which I had the privilege of participating. It is my favorite experience being a part of an art gallery. Memorable art pieces and memorable conversations were made. The works in the gallery were mind-blowing, but learning about the artist behind the piece is my favorite part. There are so many talented people to me, and it’s great to expose yourself as one, too. One piece of advice I’d give to all artists out there, no matter the medium, is that it is essential to cherish the love of art you witness and let that motivate you to be generous with your love for art, too. It’s simply just too lovable, and you’d never know where it might take you or someone else ☺️ I’m forever grateful for being chosen to display my work in this safe space, so thank you, Laurel Art Guild.🥰

Hey, hey! I have great news! I'm honored to say that my artworks “ Next Chapter” and “Sight” are featured in the Afrofutue: Exploring the Past, Present, and Future! The works in the gallery are so amazing and I feel blessed to be apart of it.
To define Afrofuturism, I would say that it is the expression and exploration of the black community with imagery of a strong future. It's a celebration and filled with hope. The gallery is a space to inspire and remind one another that our black community is capable!

Hello, hello, hello, Tumbler! I want to share this fun Adobe Illustrator tutorial I did of this arcade game and card. This activity made me feel super accomplished when I completed it. The process wasn't so complicated, but I had a few challenges. I learned how to align things, shortcuts, and so much more. Overall, I would continue to refer to this tutorial and many more because it helped me learn new ways to make my creations. ☺️

Hello, hello, hello! Kickbacks are the best! We had a great space to network and learn about our needs for being successful as student art majors at BSU! There was good knowledge, good conversation, and good food. Loved every moment!

Hello, hello, hello! I think I have a new favorite play and it’s called “Buy Black” written and put together by talented BSU university students! I had the opportunity to volunteer as much as I could with the play since I’m very into scenic and production design! Although it was hard to be able to participate as much as I wanted and was a busy process I will say that witnessing the digital aspect of design come to life was amazing. The logo me feels cool and authentic to the play's plot and setting and the scenery of the play was clever, accurate to the playwright, and creative overall! The show itself was lovable from start to finish. I would love to see it again!

Hey, hey! Have you ever been to the Museum of Illusions? I think it's a very trippy and funny place to go with your friends. The use of digital art in illusions was my favorite in the purple tunnel room you see above! It made you feel like you had no sense of balance and the doorway looked like it was turning. It was the funniest thing my friend and I experienced together. There were other illusions like my head on a plate, an ongoing ladder, cool aesthetically pleasing lighting, and much more.

Hello, hello, hello! At Bowie State University we have senior thesis shows where graduating students showcase their projects that showcase their skills with the creativity of what they want to share and create for others to see! It was a nice a program to attend and it was so inspiring. In the exhibition there were digital art, advertising designs, comic storyboards, animations, sculptures, fashion designs, a fashion show and more!
We got to hear the background behind the making of these different exhibit pieces and where the different artist got their inspiration from. I enjoyed every second and appreciated every second. Seeing the show was only beneficial and a happy and emotional time. The bar was set in this show and I hope to reach that high level once it’s my time for the senior exhibit! 🫶🏾

Hello, hello, hello! I made a GIF! I think this is by far the funniest thing I've put together. In my computer graphics class, we learned how to create our very own gif. To make it, one day I sketched buildings since I have a love for architecture and interior design to resonate it with me. This day just so happened to be Halloween and I just had to get a video of my friend in this creepy mask. 😂 I put it up in Photoshop, through layers, and animation frames, decreased the number of frames, removed the background, edited the timing, and bomb! A GIF! I struggled to get this gif more than how easy I made it sound but the struggle was worth it because I was able to learn from the mistakes so the next gif I make will be a cool breezy process! 🙃

Hello, hello, hello! This is my first Infographic poster! My poster was based on the Research of Chronic Kidney Disease. Through my research, I learned that many people diagnosed with any type of Chronic Kidney Disease, find out way too late in worse States CKD. That's why I decide to have the purpose of readers to not only have the awareness and understanding of chronic kidney disease but to also become aware of the themselves and the health of their body. This is not to self diagnosis which is dangerous! This is to make people take into consideration of speaking to their doctor soon if they suspect they could be experience sysptoms or complications of CKD mention in the poster.
My mother is a nurse herself and used to specialize in the treatment and care of stage 5 chronic Kidney Disease. When I was younger she the different treatments and processes that she takes her patients through to combat CKD and for them to be able to urinate through the struggles of having CKD. This is why I chose this topic of research. Knowing all of the information of chronic disease from research and in person makes me super aware of how real a problem like this is but if we educate ourselves and take things into account we will have the blessing of prevention. I hope that this poster not only inspires you but gives you useful knowledge.

Hello, hello, hello! Zahra here and as a Bowie State University student, I'm so excited to share with you all the exhibitions that take place at my university! We had a Dionne Warwick ceremony along with an exhibition all dedicated to her not too long ago!
This has to be the best program that I’ve ever experienced. Bowie State Renamed our Main Stage to the Dionee Warwick Stage! Every second of the choir to artwork to sax player and award Dionee Warwick for her lifes accomplish meet was worth the watch.
The art pieces had mediums of paint, digital art, and 3d design. As you can see above, there's a digital college and a fashion digital art of Dionne Warwick. I think looking back at this exhibition I can relate them more to what I learned in computer graphics because I learned about digital colleges and Adobe Illustrate. When you learn new things you tend to spot them much more outside of the classroom!

Hello, hello, hello! I want to share my visit to Hirshorn, The National Museum of Modern Art! My visit there was so much fun. I enjoy visuals and having conversations about what I and other people interpret from artwork. I admire digital photography and I feel like I can take away how you can get meaning from one or a series of a photos. I appreciate the art installations because I think those cause me to feel and think the most. Maybe because it’s something that’s basically in the same world that I’m in which makes it different from digital work.

Hello, hello, hello! Look at something cool I made! Shout out to my friend! She forced me to finally download Procreate and I kind of like it☺️ I referenced photography that I took of myself a while ago and made this freestyle of an art piece and I love how it turned out. I can't wait to learn more about the tools and ways I can break limits!

Hey, hey! I am having a throwback moment to the first exhibition I’ve ever had! I would love to share with you all the before and after of my artwork that I didn't expect to become what I call now “POV”. This piece of work was made way before I was an Adobe user I am today. This process was all with the the help of sketching, scanning, and Photoshopping on an app I love called picsart! I am amazed at the places this has gone to. It was featured in the Bowie City Hall exhibition along with other amazing artworks there and was even taken to Bowie Fest after the exhibition. I am forever grateful for my professors and friends who lead me from even having this work in the first place to it being a real exhibition piece. I think it's always good to try because you just will never know until you do! That's my motto

Hello, hello, hello! Zahra here and I would love to show you guys my new drawing Freestyle on Adobe Illustrator. I used my best friend on Adobe, the pen tool, to create this lovely woman. I think she gives Bougie and with the use of color, I sense some type of divide with her. I’m adding a development of my new pretty lady’s story. What do you think about her?

Hello, hello, hello! I'm excited to share my new obsession with Adobe Illustrator! 3-D tool! I sketched on my iPad in Adobe Illustrator using the pen tool of a woman. I think the pen tool gave the sketch an interesting look in style to it, which I loved. But once I was introduced to the 3-D material tool in Adobe, I became so excited and inflated everything hahaha. I honestly thought my computer was going to crash. 😭But I love it and I become inspired to create a series of it with the intention of women with different character stories, so stay tunedddd!☺️

EXHIBITION TRIPᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ
Artechouse Ase:Afro Frequencies by Vince Fraser
An exciting visit to see Afro frequencies at a popular exhibition of Artechhouse! Here, I got the experience of seeing cool visuals of African kings and queens. There is artwork that was very interactive, and one thing that I love about this exhibition is that the look of Afro futurism it’s just simply enjoyable for me to see.
These installations are inspired by Yoruba which are members of African people in Nigeria and Benin. These pieces are about power in celebration of African-Americans.
