Honestly, with the newer updates showing V1 is afraid to die, I don't think they're entirely or wholly bad either. It's possible that, with the right accomodations and "reprogramming"(using that term VERY loosely), they could in theory become more passive. After all, why risk your life killing other things for survival when you can protect yourself but also have a stable, passive form of sustinance?

Tbh this isn't even really abt shipping, this is about how a machine, scared to die and in desperate need of fuel, accidentally became the catalyst that opened a decieved angel's eyes to truth. Plus... well, V1 didn't ask for this. It never did. The humans are at fault for their existence, their struggles. if they hadn't been designed this way, they wouldn't be suffering quite so badly and on a downward spiral to complete extinction.

As for if I'd rather live forever a puppet, or die finally free... ngl I'd wanna die free. I'd want to go out with a bang on my own terms, living and thinking for myself, rather than spending forever as a fucked up attack dog on a leash.

Again, even taking the shipping out of it, Gabriel and V1 have a fascinating dynamic. An angel who has never been able to act for himself, and a robot that ONLY knows how to act on its own. They're both scared of death, but they know there's nothing they can do to stop it— just delay it. They're just. fascinating.

Can't speak for anon bc everyone experiences it differently, but I personally love being autistic. Like I can just rotate a thing in my head? I can have bursts of fun energy to do hand flappies and make little noises? Sign me the hell up.

Tho it also has downsides. It's basically just like... a different way a brain is wired. Brains all work differently. Usually people don't end up latching onto a certain concept or thing so powerfully that they end up receiving endless joy from it and it actually helps get them through the day. However people also usually don't want to remove their fingernails and hands and skin and everything at the thought of certain sensory things, like specific textures or noises.

Autism is like a lot of other neurodivergencies, like ADD and ADHD. It's not just bad, but it's also not just good. it's got multiple facets, everyone experiences it differently, and it's overall kind of just... I guess for lack of better term, a different operating system? Same capabilities(mostly), just different methods and coding. It's a huge spectrum.

Preening isn't just an avian thing. It isn't called "preening" but the act of grooming oneself or grooming another as a social activity is very common in the animal kingdom. Like when monkeys pick debris out of each other's hair or when flies rub their hands together like they're scheming

I see... we angels do tend to take care of each other if we are in a similar rank. When I still lived in heaven, my parents and I would preen together. As for my wings, it depends. Usually they're light unless I'm feeling particularly at ease, which is when they become feathered.

After all, if you can't even continue your survival for a few hours, how are you going to find more to continue surviving? Brain wired differently

I mean, preening is an avian feature, so is going broody. Nothing wrong with it, it's just kinda neat to me. Plus, if you think angels(which seem to have avian-like features and behaviors) chirping is weird, wait until you hear my autism noises. I have copied the different meows of my cats so well I've accidentally fooled my own mother mimicking them. Mind you, humans are Very not cats.
