Feral Child

[LOG0100: Feral Child] -"The snow desert. Insects in deep cryosleep lie beneath the white mantle where the savage deer trample about running away from the haunting present of the a primitive being, an abandon child, no much older than 10, strolls menacingly through the woods behind the startled animal with a rock on his hand.

"The woods have so much to give those willing", these words resonate in the wind, pronounced by a being that belongs to a time forgotten yet ever present, a god unknown by man but worship non the less.

The deer falls to the ground, panting from exhaustion and gasping for air, it struggles to get up at the sounds of the approaching footsteps to no avail; a shadow slowly creeps upon the falling critter, it's eye widen as the child rises his prehistoric tool and slams it on to it's skull. It's death is neither fast nor painless, there's no delight or malice in the action, but animalistic desire for substance, a need to be feed. Covered in innocent sin the child drops the rock to the side, a dangling eye from the animal's skull reflects the red sky above; a voice calls from afar, a mixture of a whisper and an a hiss, the tiny speck turns his head towards the bleeding heavens; A beautiful sight that contrast with the brutal display below. He sprays citric juice and salt over the carcass, a trick he learn to avoid any wolf or bear that may be looking for an easy meal; once done he drags the food to a nearby cave as the night creeps over the horizon."

Yeah, so turns out I've been angsting about having too few female autistic characters, but instead they're just like real life: hidden in plain sight because they're masking way too fuckin well.

I still can't get over how fast some people switched up when Izuku had his depression era. "He's badass now!"

I didn't even watch season 1 first, but I seen season 2 and when he body slammed Shinsou and then punched Todoroki with broken fingers I already knew that he was a wild, feral child! Like those moments weren't badass enough for you?!

Like, lately, I have seen more slander for MCs than I do for characters who actually are terrible.

It's like... can they not handle these MCs being a new generation written to twist the typical anime tropes around? Open the audience's minds to other themes? Is VARIETY oh so bad?

I think my all time fav tropes are:

1. Feral goblin child taken in/mentored by stoic adult with a temper and a backstory who would burn the world for the feral goblin child.

2. Childhood siblings/ best friends grow up on opposite sides of the war 🥹

3. Surprise! BLANK is actually the villain 😵‍💫 not BLANK.

4. Found family. I love it. Thank you. I’ll take 14 of them. Esp when the family contains the characters from #1 and the stoic adult gets to experience true family for the first time and the child they took in is loved by others and omg I’m sobbing 🥺

5. Love triangles (10 pts if they all end up in a throuple. *Cough cough IanxAmirxJacob*

6. The villain is evil because evil is fun and has no redeeming qualities and must be put down by any means necessary. Love it! 20pts. if she’s a girl boss. We support women’s wrongs!

7. Enemies to lovers / lovers to enemies / exes to lovers 😩🔥 (30pts if it’s queer!)

8. The Chosen One. Oh yeahhhh, we love a Mary/ Gary Sue over here!

9. Fake Dating 🙂‍↕️

10. Bodyguard x Person they’re protecting. It can be romantic, platonic it’s all good. Love to see it. Esp when the protectee has to save the bodyguard who’s injured ☝🏾😩 yess

I absolutely LOVE your Athena interpretation for Epic and now I’m curious how the other gods look like? Do they all follow the bird theme since almost every god is associated with one or are they more individualized? I’d mainly be interested in your interpretation of Zeus and Ares since I saw them mentioned in a previous post.

I’d also just like to see art of Athena and Ares together, I love the war siblings and they deserve a better dad than Zeus.

thank u for the question! i do it a little bit random, i dont follow a exact pattern but i really like to incorporate the animal that they are asociated with in the design

for hermes, Apollo and Aphrodite, for example, i didnt gave them much animal traits (im still trying to introduce the swan in Aphrodite's design)

to Hera and Artemis I'm doing a bit more anymalistic

and Zeus and Ares

also: none of these designs are finished, i still didnt see abt the characters, its pretty much just the first impression
