How he regrets getting you that plushie because you're giving that turtle all your attention...

(We've all seen that one turtle plush that's undeniably cute right)

\ flashback - last week \

You and Sae decided that your date would be to the mall where your favorite restaurant is located. But then you got your not so peaceful meal because the lady serving drinks kept checking sae out. Rude.

And so you left a bit moody because so many pairs of eyes were checking out your man. Well sae decided it'd be nice to visit the newly opened arcade.

Shooting games? Nah. Basketball? Sae would win. Water games? There's a lot of people lining up. Claw machines? …….Perfect. As you were going through the machines to scout for worthy targets, sae went to exchange coins for you to play. And oh lord ALL of them looked adorable. To you, all these stuffed animals have life since you were young. You'd sleep cuddling all of them so none of them felt left out. You'd feel bad for them if you dropped one.

A medium sized turtle caught your eyes but it was in a bad spot. When sae came back with the coins you started your mission : obtain turtle plush that looked like it really wanted to go home with you!

Since everyone was lining up at the new games you had the machines to yourself. In the time span of 30mins and with 50 coins, sae got you two keychains from their mini machines as well as a koala and cat plush trying to get the turtle out of the bad spot.

5 coins left but still no turtle...

There was a kid staring at the cat in your arms so you gave it to him happily while his parents thanked you two.

As the last coins finished the turtle was still stuck! Feeling bumped and not wanting to spend more money here, you walked out with sae trailing behind you as you held onto the koala. "It's still cute" you told yourself, but the turtle looked more attractive with its big eyes that made it seem like it just wanted to go home with you ..

You excused yourself to the restroom as sae went to get the car. Little did you know, as he passed by a gift shop, he saw the exact same turtle that you claimed wanted to follow you home and it's bigger too! He knows you'll take a while so he went in, got the plush and hid it in the back of the car to surprise you...

The whole way back from the mall to sae's place was just you talking to the koala as if it understood you and sae wondering if he should give you the turtle now since you seem to be overwhelmed and started talking to a stuffed animal….

After you went to take a bath, sae snuck to the car to take the plushie and left it on the couch. And it went like this :

"Darling, check out what's on the couch for me"

"Sae what are you trying to d- what. Sae how did you get it and how did it get there?"

"When you went to the restroom I passed by a store that sold that turtle you wanted so badly so I just bought it. Do you like it"

"I love it I love it thank you thank you thank you! I love you sae~" you said as you peppered him all over the face with kisses then ran off to hug your new turtle.

\ back to present \

It's a little after dinner and you're holding onto the turtle while watching your drama not giving a though to sae who's sitting next to you. He tried calling you but you were too invested in your drama. He tried snatching your turtle but you slapped his hand away!

He's watching you cuddle with the turtle and take it with you everywhere even when you're going to get a glass of water. Soon after he decided to announce that he's going to bed. You didn't even ask why he's going to bed so early since he had no training tomorrow. He sighed and watched the turtle smile at him as if....mocking him.? Wierd.

Soon you caught on that sae is jealous of your plushie, again. You then left your beloved turtle with the rest of your plushies in your study where they had a special sleeping place then went to look for sae hoping he's still awake. You found sae lying in bed staring at the ceiling like the past five times you got a new plushie.

"Jealous of a turtle are we?" We won't admit it but yea he is. The turtle is stealing you away from him even though he much cuter and much more attractive than some fabric cutely stitched together. His little pout signaled you to get in bed and crawl into his arms while you teased him about his jealousy for your plushies.

Though for a turtle, it was a bit overpriced to him and he knew you'd forget about him for a while when you get a new plush but it was worth everything if it meant he would get to see you smile.

He hopes, all of this will never change.

"All of this?"

The way your hair moved slightly die to the wind; the way your eyes light up with joy whenever you talk about the things you like; the way a small smile makes it way to his lips when you talk about your day to him; and how you're always there for him..

He was 16 when he fell in love with you.

The night you reunited with him at your neighborhood park when you went out for a walk was 4years after he left for Spain to go after his dream, leaving the feelings for you behind. You still kept in contact nonetheless. All the little gifts he'd send you were all kept in a box stored safely under your bed. He never actually had a girlfriend these past four years nor has he slept with anyone, because he wants to save himself for you knowing you're not in a relationship. Parts of him wished that you thought of him the way he thought of you during cold and lonely nights.

And maybe you did

You'll never forget the hue on his cheeks and a small bouquet of flowers in his hands when he asked you out. He was expecting you to reject him but you didn't. He malfunctioned when you said yes and snapped out of his own thoughts after your lips touched his cheeks.

He'd do everything for you, and only you

Soon after your graduated university, you moved to Spain with sae. You get to see him everyday and you liked it. Sometimes he's all moody and snappy after practice and says stuff to you which you knew he didn't mean. Well, it was nothing offensive most of the time. You'd leave him be and go about your work until he gently crawls in bed at night thinking you're asleep, putting his arms around you to pull you just a bit closer and whispering apologize for not spending time with you after being gone for the whole day.

He loves you the most and you know that. He'd never give you up for the world.

He's shy, not very affectionate and straightforward but the little things he does still bring butterflies to your tummy like back hugging you when you make breakfast; giving you a kiss before he leaves for practice early in the morning; remember your little habits such where you like your things put.

He always remembers your favourite snacks for food and remembers to bring some for you if he happens to leave practice early.

You feel so lucky to have him love you as his special girl. But even the itoshi sae gets insecure. He wonders :

Are you tired of him never being around?

Are you okay with him kicking around a ball all day?

What if you feel neglected and lonely then leave him?

What if you meet a guy who's better and always there for you?

These thoughts of losing you scared him and stopped him from getting sleep as he stares at you in his arms, snuggling into his bare chest.

But it's also the nights where he's the little scoop. He'll lay on your chest while you play with his hair and tell him about how much you love him and that you'll never leave him; where you ease his insecurities.

He's happy his life has you in it. And he knows he'll never fall for another girl; because nobody can love him like you do.

From when he got down and one knee to pledge eternal love for you with a beautiful diamond ring on the balcony of his penthouse to now : a mini copy of sae and the actual sae running after each other while you gently rub your little baby bump that's carrying your soon to be babygirl. He left when you were 18 but will always be here for you now until forever and after. You couldn't imagine a more peaceful life than this. The smile on your husbands face that's only reserved for his family. You’re 99.9% sure that your daughter is just gonna look like sae as a girl (you kinda want a mini version of yourself tho)

He loved you when he was 16; he still does now that he's 30; and he will till he day he takes his last breath. Tell the young sae he's gonna marry and have kids with you and you'll probably get an eye roll.

He can't imagine a life without you. What if he was never blessed with meeting you? He wouldn't want that. Well, you're his now and he intends to keep you with him forever. He'll apologize for his mistakes and talk things out with you instead of fighting. Your first fight with him, he saw the tears from your eyes about to fall and it broke his heart. After that you never fought again.

He fell for you. Hard. And he glad he did <3 he can only be himself and not get judged when he's with you, because he knows you love him so.

You sat on your couch in your little apartment, staring intensely at the tv screen. The soccer teams were on a tie and this goal will determine the winner of the finals. Once the player spiked the ball into the opposite team's goal, you couldn't help but cheer in excitement while hugging your a pillow close to you. Were you a big fan of soccer? Honestly, no. Why are you watching it then? Because that's your lover right there playing on the field all the way in Spain. You've known him since you were children. Your childhood best friend and crush, the person who's cold but always looks out for you. The soccer prodigy who kept your identity as a secret everytime the press asked him about you not because he's ashamed to be seen with you. It's just that he prefers that nobody knows who his secret darling is, not liking people who pry in his business, the person you love and loves you so much, 𝘐𝘵𝘰𝘴𝘩𝘪 𝘚𝘢𝘦.

As he turned around the corner to look for you, he saw you Infront of your locker with a guy Infront of you and you, holding a bag of...something the guy gave you. He quickly left without listening to anything because he knows the chances of him getting his heart broken is very likely. Why would you like him? He doubted you do. He's so cold and doesn't know how to express his feelings. Little did he know you rejected the guy because the one you have feelings for is sae. While sae walked back to find you still holding the things that guy gave you, jealousy and sadness rushed up. He still held that "i-don't-care" expression not knowing that person INSISTED on you keeping those things even if you did reject him to reserve your heart for the slightest chance of sae liking you.

One day on your daily hangout sessions, sae broke the news to you that he's leaving for Spain to train for his soccer. In all honesty you were sad, really sad about how he's not here anymore and you'd be lonely. Over time he grew up to be insanely attractive with a special charm in his eyes to which your crush on him was even more crazy than it was. How you liked the way your eyes meet his emerald green ones across the room. To the fact that he might meet some pretty girl in Spain and forget about you- or worst never come back! And those thoughts, scared you to bits. Yes, after all these years your feelings for him never changed. He promised that he'd come back and stay in touch with you but you knew him and his buzy schedule all too well.

You bid him goodbye at the airport and he surprisingly gave you a hug. He also gave you a small paper bag telling you to to open it when you get home. The second you got home you sprinted to your room to open the bag. Inside was your favourite candy, a jewelry box and a letter with his initials on it. The jewelry box had a beautiful neckless inside, coloured silver with sparkles in the shape of a heart and had your name carved at the back of it. You LOVED it. Opening the letter it said :

I've been wanting to give you this for the longest time and chickened out when I saw that guy confessing to you a few years ago. Though you love him and want to support his career. He knows how you feel so whenever he comes back he'd spend all his days with you. Work and meetings or conferences? Nah fuck that it's not as important as you. You wear the necklace he gave you everyday since you got it. He has a matching one with his name engraved on it and it's his luck charm.

Oh, how lucky is he to have you who fully trusts him and gives him so much support. He keeps you a secret because he doesn't want nasty comments targeted at you by his crazy fangirls or the press. You're his and only his. Deep down he knows you love him the most and he trusts you too, that's how you managed to date for five years now. You gave him a new definition of "home" House is just a building ; And home, home is where you are with him.
