Here are Yuugo & Lucas from my AU

Yuugo

He is autistic and an art teacher. He's always loved drawing, ever since he was a kid. He tried to be a freelance artist but it didn't work out, so he decided to teach art.

Not good at socializing, prefers to isolate himself. Dislikes all the other teachers at the school he works at, except for Lucas.

He is a gay man who has been out of the closet to everyone for years now.

Lucas

A biology teacher & Yuugo's coworker.

He graduated as a biologist and used to work at a zoo, but got attacked by a bear. The bear bit off Lucas' arm and injured his leg, as well as leaving a scar on his face. That is why Lucas decided to quit the job at the zoo and become a teacher.

He is bisexual, but doesn't know he's bi until he meets Yuugo.

They met when Lucas started working at the school. Yuugo had been teaching there for a few years, until Lucas joined in.

Yuugo fell first; he started developing a crush on Lucas since the first day he started working there.

Lucas didn't take long to crush on Yuugo as well, but he was confused about his feelings because he didn't know he was attracted to men until he met Yuugo. It took him a while to figure his feelings out.

Isabella, the English teacher, who is also bisexual, noticed Lucas' confused crush on Yuugo and helped him figure it out.

Since Lucas grew up to be basically a medic (with the ability to do surgeries on people), my headcanon is that he has always been fascinated by anatomy books, ever since he was a little kid, and he would spend hours reading those books in Glory Bell...

I believe Yuugo often has mental breakdowns and cries a lot, and during those times Lucas comforts Yuugo and reminds him that he's not gone anymore, he's right there with Yuugo and won't leave him.

Do you ever think about how tragic this scene actually is. Lucas is not as protective as Yuugo because he's probably seen many deaths during his time in Goldy Pond and is already used to it. He had to learn to grow a thick skin when it comes to the deaths of his loved ones...
