I started reading Qualia The Purple because of your recommendation and the first 31 pages have just been Gaku talking about how cute and pretty Yukari is, it's great (also on a more serious note Yukari perceiving people as robots has already caused the topics of beauty standards and gender presentation to come up, and with Gaku herself feeling insecure about how she fits into society's standards of beauty and femininity and I'm excited to see where they take these themes)

One thing that never stops being funny in Worm is the contrast between how Taylor Hebert (and by extension the reader due to most of the story being written from her POV) sees herself vs how the wider public sees her

She'll be here thinking she's just a little girl in way over her head, meanwhile the local government is printing and distributing PSAs which describe her as an "unpredictable young woman" prone to "bursts of sudden and extreme violence towards those she sees as her enemies" and the entire city is high key terrified of Little Miss First Horseman of the Apocalypse
