Well, the marimo-jar Paph didn’t make it, AND some mosquito eggs found their way into the jar. The marimos from that jar, however, are doing excellently and have been moved into a tank with an Anubias nana and a bubbler because I can.
The K-Lite fertilizer water doesn’t seem to be helping the marimos in any noticeable way so far, but it doesn’t appear to be hurting them either. And the Paph’s still kicking in this setup (way better than sitting bare-root for literally months because I had to make sure there were no more mealybugs and was afraid to do anything with it in case there were)
Tumblr wouldn’t let me make my detailed marimo experiment post, so for now I’m just gonna post my new mini violets
maybe I’ll get a better pic with my phone when it’s charged, because my regular camera just does not play nice with light-colored flowers (or I just haven’t found the right setting for that anytime in the 10 or so years I’ve had this camera)
An experiment with marimos in some K-Lite fertilizer water I had already mixed up. This stuff’s supposed to be really good for especially water-loving orchids, so let’s see how it does for aquatic plants.
