HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

I don't think I ever posted my OCs in here.

They are designed to live in a world somewhat like Korea in its 1500s.

Those times when cars were horses and texts were letters.

Thus it is natural for them to wear the particular clothes of that era, but the one above doesn't specifically follow the standard design.

I tried to combine the Russian New Years costume to Korean hanbok. As for the result, I'm pretty satisfied heh.

In Russia there's this folktale character called Ded Moroz and Snow Maiden. Ded Moroz doesn't look much different to Santa.. so I think his granddaughter Snow Maiden is what makes him exceptional. Ded Moroz wears all red(sometimes I see blue but mostly red) and Snow Maiden wears all blue. And I mingled those characteristics to hanbok and made my OCs wear them.

BTW it’s just a coincidence that I’m posting this today, cuz I drew this last year lol. Seriously I got goosebumps when I checked the date.

I drew this when I was feeling uncertain about my style and was eager change my art techniques. I suppose every art-hobbyist would crave for attention of their artwork, and that is totally natural. I also had those days and that is why I thought my art had to satisfy the popular taste. Thus, I chose to draw this in a totally different way from what I was used to back then. I referred to an illustrator whom I used to admire, and it turned out pretty satisfying.

But at the same time I realized that if I continue with this style, was just a mockery of another person’s work and I had this instinct that I will feel remorseful if I customize my art for just the purpose of fame. Originality is what really matters in art, I believe.  It is something that you need to create, and creation itself doesn’t need hallow attention. People who recognizes the value of your art will be the true audience.

This is kind of an old drawing. I think I’ll draw 707 differently now.

When I look through my 707 drawings, interestingly they all look different lol. They all look relatively younger than the original ver. I'm practicing how to draw a "man" these days cuz I'm used to drawing shounen.

Actually I drew this as a present for someone I know and made a pouch out of it.

I didn’t know the printing would turn out that light ^-T

My bias is Brick, but for some reason Boomer turned out to be the best work in this series lol.

I ship BrickXBlossom, but what a harsh reality...the official says no :p

I also enjoy the Powerpuff Girls D which is currently being uploaded in Snafu Comics. It reignited my passion for RRB haha. Seriously Bleedman...Brick so handsome?!
