MY SKETCHES
As part of my curation and influence, I have sketched a few design concepts of the future with regards to the environment. These are inspired by previous research and are innovations towards bettering the Earth. Sketches 01 and 03 provide the building with natural lighting, using large window panels and open space; ultimately minimising energy consumption for light. Sketch 02 is a design in response to the rising sea-levels of the globe; buildings will have to be built off-ground. Sketch 04 promotes the use of rooftop spaces; turning them into a social-space and encouraging residents to maximise utility. Lastly, sketch 05 is a design that I created, combining all previous sketches and research into this one piece. It is just one refined form of future design practices against the ever changing environment.

NATURAL INTERIOR LIGHTING & ROOFTOPS
The Norwegian Institute for Nature Research created a building that contains an abundance of large openings and windows that provide the interior lighting. (Image 3) (Kebony, Natural Light 2018) The design also allows the user to connect with nature as the landscapes can be taken in better as well as decrease the need for energy consumption.

Skandium Townhouse, London. SUSTAINABLE RESOURCES
Skandium is owned by Magnus Englund, Chrystina Schmidt and Christopher Seidenfaden; the house launching at the London Design Festival in 2017.
The concept house is considered eco-friendly as it is made from sustainably sourced materials provided by Danish brands ‘Montana’ and ‘Skagerak’; who have a strong ethical commitment and initiative. ‘Montana’ wood furniture is sourced local suppliers that reforest as they harvest.
