something i really love about shojo, especially the ones aimed at kids, is how they're able to make little things feel so heartfelt. a protagonist could go to bed and there would be an episode about how the people who make beds think of the comfort of those who get into bed, the happy feelings of them being covered in their warm blankets and drifting off to sleep, the dreams they get lost in before eventually waking up. and it will make you see a simple act like going to bed in a new light and make you appreciate it more.
