Do you think I could have one more kiss? I’ll find closure on your lips, and then I’ll go. Maybe also one more breakfast, one more lunch, and one more dinner? I’ll be full and happy and we can part. But in between meals, maybe we can lie in bed one more time. One more prolonged moment where time suspends indefinitely as I rest my head on your chest. My hope is if we add up the ‘one mores’ they will equal a lifetime and I’ll never have to get to the part where I let you go. But that’s not real, is it? There are no more 'one mores’. I met you when everything was new and exciting, and the possibilities of the world seemed endless. And they still are. For you, for me. But not for us. Somewhere between then and now, here and there, I guess we didn’t just grow apart, we grew up. When something breaks, if the pieces are large enough, you can fix it. Unfortunately, sometimes things don’t break, they shatter. But when you let the light in, shattered glass will glitter. And in those moments, when the pieces of what we were catch the sun, I’ll remember just how beautiful it was. Just how beautiful it’ll always be. Because it was us. And we were magic. Forever.

The Five Love Languages
Everyone experiences and shows love in different ways, platonic or romantic. What one person might think is their way of showing love to another person might not be how the other accepts love the most. And sometimes people who feel loved in a certain way don't show their love in the same way. Love is a complex thing, and a better understanding of how it's conveyed and experienced for different people can help us show them how much we care for them in a way they understand.
Touch: People whose main love language is Touch want physical affection. This doesn't just have to do with anything sexual. Anything from hugs, hand-holding, simple touching, pats on the back, or etc. makes the person feel cared for and appreciated. One's physical presence/accessibility is important to such a person, and lack of physical touch can make them feel neglected.
Acts of Service: People whose main love language are acts of service feel loved when others do things for them. Such acts could be easily simple such as running errands for them, helping them do things like chores or projects, or anything that takes away their burden of responsibility. On the flip side, breaking promises to them or leaving them burdened if not giving them more work to deal with makes them feel uncared for.
Gifts: People whose main love language are gifts aren't necessarily materialistic. What's important to them is the thought, love, and effort that others put behind finding and giving them a gift. Such a gesture to them shows love and that they are worth the trouble of going out of one's way to give them something. Missed birthdays, anniversaries, or thoughtless gifts may be a signal to them that they are not valued.
Quality Time: When a person's love language is quality time, they feel most loved when others take time out of their day to be with them. They desire undivided attention from the other person to feel special and loved. Canceling dates or meetings or not paying complete attention to them when being with them makes them feel like they aren't worth your time or love.
Words of Affirmation: A person whose love language are words of affirmation want to hear you say it out loud. To them, what says "I love you" the most meaningfully is just it--"I love you" as well as unexpected/unsolicited compliments and verbal affirmation of their worth to you. Insults hurt greatly to those whose love language is this

I love stories where two friends fall in love slowly, without knowing it until one day they look up and realize that their best friend is the one they want to spend the rest of their life with.

Note
Why do so many pitch perfect fanfic writers do the "popping the p" thing? Like "'Nope' Beca said, popping the p at the end." or "Chloe grinned and said 'yep!', popping the 'p'" I've read a lot of fandom's fanfic and never seen it anywhere near as much since I started PP stuff.
Haha idk, I haven’t really noticed it - maybe it’s something that was used in a popular fic, so a bunch of other writers subconsciously took the idea and included it in their own stuff? I know what you mean, I just hadn’t linked it to be a PP thing but you could be right!
