I might yap about him a weeeee bit.

Tom being a part of the Red Army, with the context of actually hating/disliking Tord and in my au version of Eddsworld where my and my friends OCs run around the place, felt strange to me. So in this universe, because I am a gay little self shipper, by the time The End happens, Ren (my oc) and Tom are dating.

Long Story (KINDA) Short

Tord does his thing, Edd and Matt press the buttons, and Tom pulls the harpoon gun up and fires. The robot blows the fuck up and Tord is gone- my other friend’s OC Cres runs after him, important for later.

Some of the rubble from the blast lands on 26 Durdam lane- the house across the street- where Ren lives with his three other roommates. Ren is horribly injured, and rushed to the hospital with Tom. (The chunk of red metal comically only hits his room the rest of the house is untouched.)

A few weeks pass, Ren is in a coma and since Cres was his emergency contact she is told what happened. Problem is, she ran off with the Red Army, and is feeling horribly guilty she up and left while her best friend could have died. Contacting the hospital back, she has Ren transferred out to a different hospital where the Red Army intercepted his transport and is brought to the base.

Cres and Tord are both crazy smart and decide to fix him up themselves. Ren ends up being their first project together, and over three years Ren is up and functioning- as 80% cyborg.

He is not the same, he’s got plenty of screws loose and is a walking unstable weapon.

Tom, who had lost this guy twice- first in the accident and then when he was kidnapped from his hospital transfer thinks Ren is still in there and can be saved or fixed. He can’t, but shh. Don’t tell him he wouldn’t believe it anyway.

Tom, on the side of the resistance, gets kidnapped too and has no choice but to join: because Ren is there.

Ty if you read all that, it isn’t everything but I put a lot of thought into this guy <3 tyty
