Jay sighed as he sat down at his desk. He knew the stress you were going through and he didn't want to cause more stress by adding a wedding to that. Hailey and Vanessa grew worried that something bad was happening to your relationship so they decided that they were going to ask him after the case. When they finally finished the day, they ended up going to Molly's (But letting you know of course). There they sat at the bar, Will was the first one to speak. "Jay, why do you seem so stressed? And don't say 'it's because of my job'. Did something happen between you and Y/N?" Jay sighed, "No, of course not. It's just that I wanna ask her to marry me, but with the stress of trying to find her biological parents, I don't wanna add anymore stress to that." Then Hailey said "Wait, Mrs.Jones & Mr.Jones adopted her? Awww, in my opinion, i thought they looked a lot alike." Will ignored Hailey then said "Well you see.. just ask her. I'm not good with advice but don't let the girl of your dreams slip away." Jay nodded and smiled lightly. "She is definitely the girl of your dreams. When I wake up and she's sound asleep, I love just laying back down if I'm off for the day and staring at the girl I get to call mine. Or days where before I go to work she's up before me and making me breakfast even though I told her she didn't have to, she still does it and her smile makes my heart melt." Vanessa and Hailey looked at each other, then Vanessa said "alright it's agreed, just ask her." Jay laughed "and if she says no? I can just go back to pretending everything's rainbows and butterflies." He said sarcastically. “Dude she won’t say no, she’s more in love with you than she is with food” Hailey laughed than everyone at the table laughed.

When Jay got home he found you asleep on the couch so he tried his best to pick you up and not wake you but that didn’t work. So then you guys sat on the couch, cuddled up next to each other. “Hey baby, how was work?” You smiled. “Same shit, different day. Anything new with you?” He laughed. “I didn’t find any news about my biological parents yet, but mom and dad said they’d help me," you giggled. “I’ll help you too, I wanna find your real dad and mom but if we don’t, Mr.Jones will have to walk you down the aisle.” Your eyes widened and you giggled, “Wait are you serious Jay?” you asked. “Do you want me to be?” he smiled. “YES, i mean yeah, whatever.” He laughed and pulled out a ring “Y/N Y/M Jones from the day i met you i knew you’d be the one, the one i would wake up next to, the one i would get to laugh at when she bakes, and end up getting in a food fight with flour, the one who i would be worried about when she has early morning shifts at the firehouse, the one who puts up with game days and watches them with me, the one i get to take to family and friend gatherings and i get to say 'yeah i got really lucky to meet my soulmate, who puts up with my annoying shit and who loves me for me and is with me at my best and my worst', I love you. Will you do the amazing honor of becoming Y/N Halstead?” he finally asked. 

“Jay, yes I will be Y/N Halstead. I just can’t believe that i got so lucky to meet the most amazing guy in the world which is you. We get to stress each other out when we go to work worrying about if the other one is gonna home but no matter what, we made it through so many ups and downs and my birth parents are gonna be another obstacle in our path, but we’ll do it together. You’re the most amazing person I’ve ever met and i have so many more words to describe how perfect you are, but yes i would be glad to do the honor of becoming Y/N Halstead.” He smiled and kissed you then you pulled away. “Everyday i thank the stars that i met you.” You said smiling

Your day started off normal at least normal for you. 

It started off your alarm beeping then you were getting ready to go to your job then getting a text from Josh. 

“Ready for our date tonight?”                                                                        “100%! :)” 

You walked into work and sat at your desk and started answering calls too 9-1-1. 

When the day was over after a long shift, you went home and changed into a (y/f/c) dress and put on a pair of heels. 

Josh insisted that he pick you up for the date so you waited for him when he arrived he gave you roses and he opened your door for you.

When you arrived at the fancy restaurant you were definitely nervous to say the least. 

The fact that this was only your third date with Josh and you didn’t know how to tell him you’re bisexual. 

So many scenarios played inside your head of how it would go, you could definitely tell your heart was racing more than usual . 

When the food was ordered you finally said something.

“I don’t really know how to say this because only a few people know but I’m bisexual and I get it if you don’t want to go out with me any lon-” You said but got cut off by him.

“Y/N I don’t want to stop seeing you just because you’re into both boys & girls, I like you for you no matter what.” He said. 

“Wait really?” You said.

“Yes I really do, and I was hoping to ask you this sometime tonight but would you be my girlfriend?” He said.

You guys headed to his house, and he laid out blankets well you made popcorn and both decided on (y/f/m) to watch. 

When you finished making the popcorn, you sat next to josh and cuddled into him. He smiled and slung his arm around you then kissed your forehead.
