What a dog shit theory when the scene shows the opposite of everything mentioned here. Vhagar would not chase them had she not been commanded to, and does not know who they are as she didn't see eye thing happen, a pivotal moment in the book removed from the show, and reacts because she beleives she's in danger, which she did not believe herself to be so far when they were hunting a lesser foe. Aemond put her there, why his shocked face. He thought his toy will follow his orders:

They added the scene to show he does not respect dragons even when he needs them, as he criticizes bastards for "muddying the sanctity of their blood" or whatever the shit he said. Mr. History and philosophy is the stupidest man who does not respect the dragon bond and its sanctity

How lucerys was more intune with a dragon as old as himself and aemond was incompetent with a highly trained dragon. Something to be said about that.
