Com I got to draw Telemachus and Penelope! I'm so happy with them especially Telemachus
Yapping below the cut
Their earnings match and they both have a select color. Telemachus is blue, Penelope is purple, Odysseus is red. They're laurels match. Telemachus has stray branches and Penelope has the full tree

Just a short little thing based on an idea @vegalocity and I discussed on Discord-
The murder is perfect.
The little wolf barks and growls, but he is only twenty and slender, no match for the five grown men who pile on him, slamming their fists and feet into his tiny body as they pin him down. Antinous enjoys watching Penelope's green eyes tear up, like when he will take her as his wife.
"Fuck you-"
The sword comes down, cutting the snarky reply off with a wet gurgle. Once, twice-
Three.
Telemachus's head hits the sand of the beach.
Screams and shouts echo from the rest of the ship. Antinous gestures to the rest of the group to take care of them. Despite their competition over Penelope's hand, the rest follow his commands.
He busies himself by yanking Telemachus's cloak off and wrapping the body and head with some stones. There is a cliff nearby, and he drops the bundle down into the sea from there, along with his bloodied clothes.
"Good riddance," he sighs, pleasure still buzzing in his veins.
(He does not see the crane diving into the sea.)
By the time he returns to the beach, there are five dead men, and the rest of the crew are holding coins. Several look sick and guilty as his group hides the bodies, but Antinous knows they will stay quiet.
Together, they march to the palace, meeting with the rest of the group. They stayed comfortable inside the palace, hiding the murderers from notice. For all of Ithaca's desire for Penelope to remarry, killing the prince will be a step too far.
When Antinous walks in, the cheers practically rattle the palace. As one throws him a new tunic, cups of wine are pushed inside his hand, all cheering him on.
It was perfect.
By the time the next morning draws, the pleasure is still buzzing in his veins, almost better than the buzz he got from sex. Antinous soaks it up, grinning as he dresses nicely. Today is the day Penelope will choose, and she will choose.
Breakfast is waiting in the main dining hall. Penelope sits apart from them, ignoring the calls and jeers for her to join them. Antinous leaves her alone. Today is her last day of freedom, after all.
He ignores the door opening.
"Hello, Mother!"
Around the table, there are noises of shock and horror. Antinous feels his wine coming back up in a spit-take as he cranes his head and his jaw drops.
Telemachus, without scar or blood, smiles at them all.

in both the odyssey and epic: the musical, odysseus shoots antinous first. this is (probably?) because at the time, antinous was drinking from odysseus's goblet.
odysseus drank it from when he was a kind man who was often called a "gentle father" in regards to how he ruled ithaca.
but now, he is a monster. he played his dearest friends like fiddles, like things he could torment for fun.
if he drank from that goblet, that pure goblet, would he switch its status to "impure"? antinous, an evil man, drank from it.
metaphorically, he is saying that he is "just a man". he is different. he is a different man now, changed by circumstance.
but now, he shoots antinous, as if odysseus is trying to heal. idk i like analysis but i overthink it sometimes

Telemachus, to the suitors, while backed down to the corner: Gentlemen, gentlemen, let's be civil about this, let's make a deal: you surrender, and you don't die! How does that sound?
Antinous, cleaning his nails with the tip of the dagger: And how do you intend to kill us?
Telemachus: Oh, I can't kill you. But, my buddy can. Say 'hi', buddy!
Athena, with her eyes glowing red and neck cocked under an unnatural angle: Hi.

i rlly like how odysseus has been willing to show mercy up until this point. like EVEN ON POSEIDON AT FIRST he offered “hey we can both just like leave” and only began fighting when poseidon tried to drown him
then fucking ANTINOUS shows up and is like “i’m going to sexually assault your wife and kill your son” and ANY THOUGHTS of showing mercy on him or anyone in that room immediately went OUT OF THE WINDOW
even when the suitors tried to beg for mercy, odysseus didn’t even dignify them with a proper response. he just said “no.”
