🐌Things I learned after 6 months raising pet snails 🐌

Snails are super cute. They look like tiny slimy bunnies. They are also have a very expressive body language.

I had read they reproduced a lot, but mine only layed eggs 2 or 3 times, so that's not that much.

Baby snails are super fragile. Please don't touch them, even if it's really tempting.

Forum say snails love fruits bit it's not very good for their health, but mine all hate fruits.

Snails also love varied food. If I don't change regularly, they just ignore their food bowl.

Snails are super noisy at night. They burrow under rocks and hidings, push stuff around the terrarium... Also I use little argile balls as a substrate, so it's extra noisy when they just move normally. But it's easy to clean, doesn't smell and my snails can bury themselves easily.

Snails can bite. If they're feeling a bit pekish they'll nibble at your finger, and it tickles a bit. But if they're super hungry, they can bit for real.

Technically snails don't need to eat every day, in the wild they sleep foe months in winter and summer, but pet snails will wake up and eat every day.

Finally, snails are very curious and get super excited when you put something new in they environment. They're also very good climbers and are very agile. You can make little jungle gym for them and watch they play. It's super cute and some YouTube channels have already understood that ^^.
