had to eat today because i literally would stand up too fast and almost pass out and my body felt so exhausted but i felt way better after and burned off the whole wrap i ate i just hope it doesn鈥檛 fuck me over too bad

hii so the job is a summer camp counselor, hours are 8:45-4:15. They're pretty restrictive on bringing in food unless its fruit but they supposedly offer like hard-boiled eggs and tuna salad and stuff.
Omg that鈥檚 literally perfect? Definitely use these foods to your advantage!
breakfast (before work)
- fruit bowl + black coffee: 50-70 cals (strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, & pineapple are your best friends; try to take around 4-5 strawberries, 1/4 cup blueberries, 7 raspberries, 5 blackberries, 1 pineapple spear)
snack (around 10:30 or whenever u can get a break around this time)
- raspberries! (bring them in a little snack bag or sealed container to chew on will satisfy your mind & cravings)
- air popped popcorn if you can (literally my holy grail; i buy the organic sea salt bags from aldi and 2 cups which is basically a full sandwich bag is just 70 cals and fills me up for hours)
lunch
- hard boiled eggs WITHOUT YOLK sprinkled with salt: 17 cals, 4g protein
- tuna salad (not sure how many cals would be in theirs but this will be good for protein AND filling you up! if you can, put some of the tuna salad in your egg whites to make you feel like you鈥檙e eating something filling. and on the plus side if that鈥檚 nasty to you, then boom appetite suppressant lol)
馃専馃専 gum & black coffee will be your key throughout the day if you feel yourself getting hungry or have strong cravings like me.
馃専馃専you鈥檙e on your feet a lot as a camp counselor so you鈥檝e most likely burned about 200 calories during your shift! once dinner comes around, you can eat what you want, just make sure you have CONTROLLED, SMALL portions on your plate!

Hi! Can you tell me how not to be sick when fasting for a long time? 馃馃徏馃馃徏馃馃徏
So there鈥檚 a few thing you need to watch for; hydration, electrolytes, and if you鈥檙e doing a prolonged fast then ketones as well
We get all our vitamins and nutrients through food, and most importantly electrolytes. When you get low you start to feel sick dizzy and nauseous, so you need to supplement them with something like dioralyte and other salt replenishing supplements. The main electrolytes to watch for are your sodium, magnesium and potassium as they鈥檙e essential for energy and heart function. Pickle juice is great for sodium from my experience. Low electrolytes cause fatigue, light headedness/fainting, nausea and even seizures
Hydration is also essential. You should drink enough, but drinking too much can also cause damage. Too much water flushes your electrolytes and kidneys and can make you sick. Best bet is to watch your pee, yellow/orange needs a bit more water, pale yellow is perfect, clear is too much water. Its recommended to drink 2L of water daily, but it also varies depending on height and weight, so just keep an eye on your urine colour
Lastly is ketones. As you fast your body starts to use up your glycogen stores (carbs) which usually happens within the first 1-3 days. Afterward it starts to use fat as energy, and to do this ketones are produced to break them down. As you fast for longer periods of time they build up and can cause side effects due to ketones making your blood acidic. This starts off with weakness and brain fog and turns into cardiac issues and comas. If you鈥檙e into ketosis you can order ketone testing kits, but if not then you need to either break your fast when you start to notice this or find ways to reduce the ketone level in your blood. Ketones are expelled by urine, so drinking water helps, but again dont overhydrate
If you鈥檝e taken all your electrolytes, are hydrated and still feel like shit then BREAK YOUR FAST!!! It鈥檚 better to break your fast and start again after you replenish your energy stores than getting hospitalised
