[Interview] Shinhwa, 20 year idols who still have a lot to show

This March is their 19th anniversary. In terms of years, it’s their 20th year. During that time, Shinhwa has established themselves, and have always gone for music and performances that only Shinhwa can do. There’s already something that Shinhwa is good at. It’s understandable if they choose to do what they’re best at within a safety net but Shinhwa looks to make a change yet again.

Shinhwa released their 13th full album “Unchanging - Touch” on 2nd January. It’s 1 year 10 months after the release their 12th album “WE” in February of 2015. After completing their promotions for “Sniper”, Shinhwa has focused on solo activities, before they pre-released “She Said” last October, then begin starting their comeback project in earnest, with the release of “Unchanging Part 1 - Orange” on 29 November, which contained some songs from their 13th album. It raised fans’ expectations for the new album.

“Unchanging part 1″ contained songs that fit the year-end atmosphere, and fansong ‘Orange’ was chosen as the title track. On the other hand, in the actual 13th album, songs that made you look forward to Shinhwa’s performance were added. It was sad they didn’t have broadcast promotions when part 1 was released but it is expected fans will be able to appreciate Shinhwa’s performance to their hearts’ content through “Touch”. When Shinhwa was asked if practice is difficult, they ask in return, “Why would you think it’s difficult?”

“We are a group that has always done ‘synchronised choreography’ and shown a lot of performances. As we are gradually doing things that fit with our characteristics, we seem to have removed exaggerated movements. Be it having a short pause or focusing on choreography where we can create an effect with the dancers. I think that is what’s right for Shinhwa. A representative example is the voguing dance in ‘This Love’, which brought out the members’ individual characteristics but when seen on the overall, you get the feeling that it matches. That’s why it’s not difficult.” (Lee Minwoo)

How LEGENDARY is this!! Shinhwa performs 2 songs that are 18 years apart!! The ONLY Kpop group to have such a feat.!! Perform 2 of their comeback songs that are 18 years apart on the same stage while still being continuously active all those years between the 2 songs (except military service time) with no disbandment & no member change! .. LEGENDS of KPOP! since 1998 & still going strong, setting new records & topping charts!  just looking at the dates gives me goosebumps!

muốn lưu lại một chút gì đó niềm vui ở trên này. thực sự một ngày đầu năm 2017 thật tuyệt thật đẹp đấy. cứ nghĩ rằng sau cái ngày 26/11 đáng buồn khi tất cả rời đi, cùng với những tin đồn nhiều kiểu, sẽ phải rất lâu nữa mới thấy họ tụ tập. ai ngờ ngay ngày đầu năm luôn ~ nhìn thấy những bức ảnh này, cảm tưởng như mình trở lại là một cô bé con vỡ òa cảm xúc: la lên vì sướng, chực khóc vì vui. mọi thứ sau tất cả vẫn luôn là thế, vẫn luôn đúng chỗ. có thể thay đổi team, nhưng không thay đổi tình anh em gắn bó. tiếc là thiếu Cry, nhưng như này đã là vui lắm rồi, không mong gì hơn. tin đồn dù đúng hay sai thì giờ chẳng có tí quan trọng nữa rồi. dù ích kỉ, nhưng đây mới là Rox Tigers thực sự trong lòng mình. những chú Hổ mạnh mẽ lạc quan mà lầy vui nhộn ồn ào =)) chỉ mong tất cả cứ giữ quan hệ tốt đẹp lâu dài với nhau thôi. nhìn tất cả chụp ảnh tạo dáng mà cứ dựa dẫm bấu víu vào nhau như động vật không xương, vừa buồn cười mà vừa thấy thật sự thật sự hạnh phúc. làm fan chỉ cần bấy nhiêu là mừng lắm rồi. mà thằng bé đã lùn rồi, sao Kuro nỡ quắp cổ vít nó thế =)) đùa chứ nhìn cái cách Kuro ôm cổ nó như mọi khi, thật sự trông cưng chiều hết sức. 

nhìn thế này, cảm tưởng như chưa hề có cuộc rời đi...

nhìn lại những tấm ảnh này, vẫn bất giác khóe miệng cong lên đầy vui vẻ.

đây là niềm vui to to an ủi lấp đi những nỗi buồn nho nhỏ của mình: buồn vì lỗ xỏ bị mất một bên, buồn vì không ưng được đôi giày nào, buồn vì đi mà chả lựa được món quần áo nào, và hơn cả là buồn vì rảnh rỗi quá mức.

cảm ơn rất nhiều, những chàng trai-những chú Hổ đã mang đến một niềm vui thực sự cho ngày đầu năm 2017.
