The demand of diamond is increasing even though their prices still very expensive. It was a smart idea from Madison Avenue and De Beers who made people believe that the engagement rings have to be the diamond. I personally think that what made this shiny piece of rock “diamond” so popular is advertising and marketing. In today’s society, social media play an interesting role impacting in people choices; the way how they eat the way how they dress and even the way how they act. Especially youngster when it comes to their movie idols they want to do everything the movie idol does. Also, wealthy people could influence as well in the society because their reputation within community allowed them to impose their tradition, for example, engagement rings started from them first then it went down to the majority of people. I definitely disagree with the idea that says the expensive diamond ring is a necessary step in the marriage process. Neither do I consider that a fancy shiny diamond as a measure of how much you love someone. I guess that collecting diamond is not a good investment like many people think because its prices go down after buying it from the store; also, having much diamond does not define the status of any human among a group of people. Adulthood American male should save their money or spend it in some beneficial investments where they can get more money rather than spending collecting diamond because it is a worthless business.

Part 1
I think This story has a very good bright side; where the man who was wrongly convicted of murdering his wife, actually was not planning to revenge. Even though he was innocent and he was hated by all family members; however, his main concern was just to know how the American criminal justice system can be fixed! I think that is the core matter. In order to avoid this kind of cases, this institution should do its best and work hard to prevent real criminals from doing other crimes. Also by developing some new technologies to help them to search correctly for the guilty person. Then the criminal justice system should take enough time to investigate look for proofs and take in consideration all evidence before accusing innocent people. In this story, Morton wasted 25 years inside the prison because of the criminal justice system negligence toward this case.
Part 2
After I finished reading this article, I was so astonished because I didn’t know about this private prisons before. This is so insane I couldn’t believe how the USA treat their citizens in order to make profits out of them. I personally think that humans’ life now in the USA became an interesting source to make money for many companies. These private prison companies that run behind money behalf peoples’ life must be stopped. They think that throwing citizens inside these cages can solve their issues and reduce crimes, yet it is not the case because it will not happen. There are many other ways to do so, better than just building big fancy prisons. They should look for the reasons that make these people going to prisons also work hard to prevent crimes and social issues that way we can decrease the causes that lead to prisons.

Parte 1
I think that the author of this article emphasized in a problem that I really wanted to talk about since I have arrived in the USA; which is the health care system. This issue bothers me a lot because we are human; we expect to be sick at any time; however, the health care system at the USA doesn’t really care about citizens. I definitely acknowledge that this country does have an advanced technology in the medical field, but the way how health care system function is too mysterious, and confusing for the patient, and even for doctors. There are a lot of papers given to the patient, and they make him sign these documents, and he will never predict what is going to happen to him after. Then the funniest part is when he started receiving bills from everywhere with a considered amount of money. Every person sees him at the hospital or emergency room will send him a bill to be paid. Where are they going? Why this crazy prices that even rich people can’t afford? Why all this confusion? I personally feel like people's lives in this country is so cheap. Also, money is considered to be first before humanity.
Part 2
The author of this article through his passage wanted to show the difference between American healthcare system and the Canadian one. He did a little comparison between both, and this last included prices and waiting time. I personally think that Canadian healthcare system is more affordable and reasonable since the government covers 70% of it. Also, it gives chance to everyone to visit a doctor prescription without costs. That is what helped the Canadian to Decrease death. However, the American healthcare is a disaster; they want your money first before you and your health. The USA should work with the Canadian healthcare system like the author said maybe the results will be surprising. At least take some advantages of the Canadian healthcare system and adjust it with the USA health care. I have a positive perception of this change if it happens good results will occur in the near future.

There is a long process to get food to consumers, from California to Texas or from California to New York here what makes difference. Pollan decided to Prepare food found at whole food, some meat and vegetables, and he admits that it does taste better than the other food, however, he was wondering if doing things right the way supposed to be must be costly. And why consumers think that is alright to pay extra for organic food. Pollan found that in 1990s many organic farms chute down except the ones that used industrial model since it was the only way to survive and produce enough food stock.it is really about quantity, not quality. Pollan throughout Big Organic wanted to persuade readers that this industrialized organic industry is full of lies. People need to nourish their bodies on the daily basis in order to build up a strong body, this will add vitality and energy to help them accomplish their daily tasks. Although, society ought to know and act mindfully about the quality and quantity of food that each individual should consume to maintain their wellbeing away from numerous health disease. Recent studies show that the more affected by health diseases are children with obesity who are the most influenced by television and false advertisement which promote unhealthy food such as soft drinks, fast foods and sweeteners. All these factors are what lead kids to obesity, which is one of the biggest issues in the United States caused by bad food habits fundamentally. Parents and schools should raise their level of awareness among children about the bad food habits and it consequences in order to decrease obesity problem for American citizens. The use of #hashtag
In recent years, the use of the number signs or hashtag has increased due to its popularity and uses. On the internet, it is widely use to automatically link a word to another group with similar meaning, for example one might search for food on twitter and it will link you to other individuals that have used that same word or phrase. In order for this to work, one must place (#) before the word and it must not contain any punctuations, so food will be #food or even #ilovefood.
It is said that this movement started on twitter during the San Diego fire in October 2007 which allowed individuals to follow up with this event. Not only has this allowed people from all over the world to connect and socialize, it has also made possible for movements to start, or even allowed businesses to freely advertise their products. Undoubtedly the hashtag has been a great tool for the internet which will not die any time soon.
