Can I bring my Bluetooth speaker on a plane?
There always comes a time when travelers are unsure whether some items and gadgets they own can be carried along with them when traveling by air. One of such items can be speakers. Can you go along with any speaker you own when traveling by air? Well, read along, and letâs delve into this.
How to Handle Airport Security with Bluetooth devices?
The TSA (Transportation Security Administration) has indicated specific regulations for screening electronics. They have recommended that you store the electronics so that the authorities can easily access them when screening.
Additionally, you can buy a TSA-compliant lock for bags that contains wireless devices and accessories to deter theft. And if you are transporting them in a carry-on bag, they should be large enough for separate screening.
I would also recommend you to join the TSA-precheck program. It is ideal for regular travelers, and you wonât need to unpack your devices when going through airport screening. But Lithium batteries are bound by special regulations, and you need to remove them from your checked luggage and store them in the carry-on bag.
What is TSA PreCheck?
TSA PreCheck is a U.S. government program that allows travelers deemed low-risk by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), a U.S. Department of Homeland Security agency, to pass through an expedited security screening process at certain U.S. airports. Source: Investopedia.ĂDismiss alert Popular devices like laptops, cameras, and other electronic devices also contain rechargeable lithium batteries, so bring them in your carry-on. Itâs always a hassle to be pulled aside, so donât give the security reasons for searching your checked-in bag.
TSA advises travelers to prepare for TSA screenings to avoid issues and delays when getting their PEDs through checkpoints. Once you follow the rules, TSA wonât confiscate your Bluetooth devices.
Are Speakers Allowed On Airplanes?
Yes, speakers are allowed on airplanes. Speakers are not on the restricted list of items when it comes to air travel. When traveling with speakers on planes, the only thing that matters is ensuring that your speakersâ size and weight meet the specifications of the airline you are traveling with.
According to the United Statesâ Transport Security and Administration (TSA), there is no problem with carrying your speakers along when traveling on an airplane. Depending on their components, speakers can either be part of your hand luggage or your checked luggage.
Speakers that are handy and portable are allowed on airplanes. These speakers can be brought on board as part of your hand luggage and not added to your check-in luggage. You can take them on the flight with you, but you are not allowed to use them while you are on board.
Can I pack a Bluetooth speaker in checked baggage?
As long as the batteries are installed, which means that the terminals are not exposed, you can pack the device in checked luggage. Spare batteries are not allowed in checked baggage, as explained in the battery section above.
If you are packing your speaker in checked baggage, be prepared for the risk of unfaithful servants. Bluetooth devices packed in checked baggage are often gone missing. So I would recommend bringing your devices in your carry-on, as long as you have room for it.
Are Subwoofers Allowed On a Plane?
Yes, subwoofers are allowed on a plane. As long as your subwoofer is within the size and weight allowance for your airline, you should have no problems bringing it along with you. Depending on the size of the subwoofer, it can fit as either hand luggage or check-in luggage.
Subwoofers are basically speakers. For subwoofers to fall underhand luggage, they will need to be small enough to fit under the seat in front of you or in the overhead bin. This means the dimension of your luggage has to be according to the specifications of the cabin limits and the weight of the plane you are traveling on.
If not, you would have to check them in as checked luggage. Subwoofers do not contain lithium batteries, so they are allowed into the cargo hold of planes. However, wiring and magnets inside your subwoofers may lead the TSA to open your subwoofers for closer inspection.
Due to the risk of damage that can occur when subwoofers are added to checked luggage, I would suggest you pack your subwoofers well and mark them as fragile.
Conclusion
Most airlines allow you to bring and use Bluetooth devices on the plane. But be aware that there are different rules on when you are allowed to use them. In some airlines, you can use them during the whole flight, and in some, you cannot use them during taxi, take-off, or landing. A few are not allowing Bluetooth devices at all.
You are, in most cases, allowed to pack Bluetooth devices (also those with Lithium batteries) in both carry-on and checked baggage. But remember that there is a high risk of someone stealing your device if packed in checked baggage.
Spare batteries are only allowed in the carry-on, and you should pack them carefully to prevent short-circuiting.
If you want to connect your device to a phone, tablet, or laptop, remember to enable flight mode (airplane mode) and then turn Bluetooth back on.
On international travels, most airlines have their own entertainment system. To connect your Bluetooth headphones to these systems, you need either; a 2-pin adapter for a wired connection or a Bluetooth adapter to connect wirelessly.
Any of our winning options are quality speakers that will serve you well, but selecting the perfect one is about your preferences and ideal price point.Want more recommendations for the best Bluetooth speaker ? Check out our guides to the DinDinModern.

What are the advantages of home speaker?
Wireless speakers arenât just for barbecues and beach hangs anymore. The best Bluetooth speakers used to be relegated to small, portable music players with often subpar sound, but the market has exploded in recent years. Now, youâre as likely to select a wireless audio player for home listening as you are a traditional hi-fi system. Of course, that surfeit of choices also means that selecting the best Bluetooth speakers can be trickier than ever.
Types of home Speakers
Home speakers are available in the market in many different types.Almost all of the accessible home speakers can be assigned to one of these category types. These are described below:
Floorstanding/Tower Speakers
Floorstanding speakers are also known as tower speakers because their enclosures or cabinets resemble towers. These indoor speakers are used for stereophonic sound systems at home and can also be incorporated into the home theater systems. The sound produced by these speakers is of very high-quality.They are the need of every home where the listeners want to have a professional audio type environment. However, before purchasing floor standing speakers,it is important to check out the following:
Enclosure(Cabinet) Construction
It is very important to look at the construction of the enclosure or cabinet ofthe speaker system. The cabinet should not have any resonance,i.e..it should have an anti-resonant construction. It needs to be very strong and sturdyand should not vibrate at all due to the sound from the drivers.Vibrations can distort the audio and lead to poor quality performance. The material used in the construction of the cabinet needs to be looked into.and the finishing of the cabinetâs exterior should be such that it goes well with the room decor and environment.lt is also very important to have a proper footingin the cabinet. lf the individual has got a hard floor in hisher home, itis always a good idea to get floor standing speakers with padded footing.Depending on whether the speaker system is a two-way system,a three-way speaker system,or a fourway one the cabinet configuration will differ.
Drivers
Floorstanding speakers, generally have got several drivers. These drivers vibrate and, thus, relay the sound waves and allow for a large array of sound. The type of drivers used in any freestanding speaker will differ depending on the nature of the speaker system used. For any speaker system, four different kinds of drivers could be employed. Each of these drivers serves or reproduces sound in specific frequency ranges. Subwoofer drivers deliver music in the very-low-frequency range of20 Hzand 200 Hz. The woofer drivers provide sound in the frequency range of40 Hz to1kHz.These are also lowfrequency sounds. The third type of driver is the mid- range drivers, which deliver music in the frequency range of 500 Hz to 2 kHz.Finally, the tweeter drivers provide sound in the high-frequencyrange of2 kHz to 30kHz.
Speaker Arrangement
Many people select floor standing speakers and simply place them on the two sides of the Audio-Visual system or TVset on the same wall While this type of arrangement might appear aesthetic and is considered to be the mostintuitive of all arrangements, it does not necessarily produce the best sound. This type of arrangement is known to cancel out the bass. Sound enthusiasts usually select powerful freestanding speakers precisely for the same purposeie,to getgood bass, and it is the same purpose that gets nullified often due to this simple arrangement. For anyone who has no choice but to go with this type of arrangement, perhaps using bookshelf speakers with an extra subwoofer will get the desired sound.lf freestanding speakers have to be used to get more power, a separate subwoofer will be necessary to deliver deep bass.
Bookshelf Speakers
For many people, floor space in their roomsis a major source of concern when they plan to select the appropriate type ofindoor speakers for their homes. These people would like to have the maximum possible music power and performance in their homes but do not have adeguate floor space to place the floor standing speakers Moreover, they do not want something as small as a portable speaker because the power ofthe portable speakers is not adequate for the kind of music listening experience they are looking for in their homes.Forthese peopletheidealsetof indoor spaces are the Bookshelf speakers, which are either placed on the bookshelves as the names suggest or they could be placed on a table a pedestal thus avoiding the use of extra floor space while the music power and performance are still quite adequate. The Bookshelf speakers are smaller than the floor-standing speakers but are larger as compared to the portable ones. These speakers can deliver highly amplified sound in stereo, which is solid and rich for smaor even medium-sized rooms. They cannot provide the rumbling bass or the room-shaking power of the floor standing speakers but are ideal for use in small living or working spaces at homeat the den or in the office.
These speakers are even adequate to be included in a home theater system, and a subwoofer can be set up along with them for extended bass.
Best Bluetooth Speaker: Things to Consider
why-buy-bluetooth-speakers
When shopping for the best Bluetooth speaker for your needs, you have several considerations to make. One of the most important features to consider is range. Itâs quite common for consumers to make the mistake of purchasing a Bluetooth speaker that doesnât offer much range.
The placement of the speaker is also very important. Several of the newest products offer a signal range between 100 to 150 feet. There are some products that will send a signal up to 200 feet, but the signal strength is affected by obstacles, so even if a product advertises a range of 200 feet, itâs unlikely that it will actually work 200 feet away from the source.
Itâs not uncommon for some Bluetooth speakers to be advertised as being able to play stereo sound. When a music track is recorded a certain way, you can hear sound from different instruments coming out of different speakers.
Unfortunately, stereo sound doesnât always transmit well through a speaker that uses Bluetooth because they usually have only a single driver. For the speaker to produce stereo sound, it must have at least two drivers, and youâll find that many portable speakers have only one driver.
Sound Quality
Since the whole point of owning a Bluetooth speaker is to listen to audio, the sound quality that it produces is very important.A lot of people assume that a higher price equates to better sound quality. In many cases, a higher price point does indicate better sound, but itâs not a good idea to assume that this is always true.
There are some speakers that are engineered for bass while others are optimized for treble. Unfortunately, you canât test a speaker before you buy it, so you must pay attention to the product description and find out if itâs primarily designed for bass or treble.
Where Will You Use It?
A lot of people purchase a Bluetooth speaker and use it at home. Despite its compact size, the sound quality from the speaker might surprise you. A modern Bluetooth speaker serves as an excellent way to get rid of that old bookshelf stereo.
If you want the best speaker for your home or studio, make sure to check the wattage output. A speaker with a higher wattage is capable of filling larger rooms with sound.
You should also consider getting a speaker that comes with two audio drivers, which will keep the sound quality high when the volume is turned up. Itâs worth mentioning that some speakers can be linked together and will deliver a surround sound effect.
When you get tired of using your speaker in your home office, you can take it outdoors or turn it on in the shower. Youâll find a table and reviews for some of the best Bluetooth speakers available in DinDin Modern, and by choosing one of the products from DinDin you can save time and money.
Any of our winning options are quality speakers that will serve you well, but selecting the perfect one is about your preferences and ideal price point.Want more recommendations for the best Bluetooth speaker ? Check out our guides to the DinDinModern.

What are the best reasons to have a Bluetooth speaker for a party?
Thereâs absolutely no doubt that a great party deserves amazing music pumping out of awesome speakers. Youâve spent a lot of time curating the perfect playlist and preparing for the evening, so ironing out all of the small details to make sure the night goes off with a bang is critical. Whether you want chilled music for an intimate dinner party or you want to dance the night away with friends and strangers alike, playing the right music from quality party speakers can create an unforgettable experience.
What to look for in party speakers?
So youâre ready to put on the party of the year. But youâre not quite sure what speakers you need in order to get the job done. That is understandable because there are a ton of factors to take into account when picking out the best party speakers. How loud do they need to be? How big do they need to be? Do you need them to be Bluetooth connectable, or is wired okay?
Here we go over a few of the things you need to consider when picking out the best party speakers for your purpose.
Sound Quality
With sound quality, weâre referring to the mids and highs of the music and how clearly and distinctively a speaker is able to produce these sounds. If the sound quality is good then the mids and highs will be clear and flawless without any distortion at high volumes. This is important otherwise once your speaker goes above a certain volume, youâll start hearing what resembles a âscratching noiseâ thatâll ruin your music.
If youâre new to frequency response ranges and do not know what mids and highs are, I will make it simple for you.
Highs: These are the high pitches or high-frequency sounds that are often produced by the soprano, violin, flute, etc.
Mids: These are the medium pitches or middle frequencies that are often produced by the viola, cello, alto, tenor, oboe, etc.
Lows: These are the low pitches or low (bass) frequencies that are often produced by the bass, bassoon, bass drum, baritone, etc.
So before buying a speaker, make sure to read some reviews to ensure that the speaker has good sound quality and will not distort when you turn the volume to max.
Portability
How often will you be throwing parties? Will you always be using the same venue? Unless you are planning on keeping your speakers in the same location for every party, you should consider how important a factor like portability is.
Moving heavy speakers around a couple of times a month or even a couple of times a year can become a huge hassle when throwing a party. Larger speakers take up extra space which may mean you need to make extra trips to get the rest of your supplies. But then again, you may need the power that larger speakers offer.
There are some fantastic portable party speakers that are a little bit smaller but still pack 1000-watts of power. If youâre going to be doing a lot of moving, consider the option of picking up a smaller speaker that has more power. The last thing you want is to set up your party and have all the guests invited only to find out your speakers arenât going to fit into the space youâve picked out. Smaller speakers mean more dance floor room.
Battery Life
We just mentioned that a hand full of the party speakers on this list do not run on battery so when it comes to the battery it is obviously important to check if the speaker actually has one. Checking whether that battery is a rechargeable battery is important. While the chances of getting a proper party speaker that runs on a non-rechargeable battery are very slim, I still make sure to check.
Batteries come in different sizes, and some can be extremely powerful while others are sadly very weak. Check how powerful the battery is and how long it will last on max volume. Bear in mind that the volume that you are playing music at will affect how long the battery lasts. Another thing that you should take note of in regards to the battery is that if the speaker has accessories such as lights, then it will use far more power than when only the music is playing.
This can actually have a dramatic effect on the battery-life. For example, the ION Audio Block Party Live, which is an amazing speaker, gets about 70 hours of playtime from a charge when the light dome is switched off, however, when you switch it on while playing music, you only get 6 hours of playtime. Take this into consideration when buying a party speaker.
Connectivity
If Bluetooth is important to you, then youâre in luck, because most speakers these days have the capability to be connected via Bluetooth. Bluetooth party speakers generally work on a battery and you will need to take into account the amount of battery life you want out of your speakers.
Ideally, you will be able to play your music for over 12 hours without needing to recharge them. That way you can keep the music going through the entire ordeal. However, wired speakers offer a little more convenience in the sense that you donât need to worry about recharging at all.
The signal is generally stronger with wired speakers and you donât need to worry about the signal cutting out in the middle of everyoneâs favorite sing-along song. Smaller speakers tend to be better suited to have Bluetooth connectivity as the whole point of having smaller speakers is portability. A lot of this decision will come down to size, power, and capability for your party.
Durability
Have you ever been at a party and had drinks spill on valuable things? It happens, and many other things do too. How much rigorousness are you going to be putting your speakers through? If youâre throwing university frat ragers, then a set of speakers that can handle whatever is thrown at them may be necessary.
If you have a more sophisticated social circle, you may be able to get away with using speakers that are a little more fragile. Most portable Bluetooth speakers these days are made with waterproof capabilities and are fairly durable. Generally, you should be okay in most cases, but this is a factor you should keep in mind.
What to Consider when Buying a Party Speaker?
Your Budget
Yes, the mighty dollar rules. Ideally, we would all own a B&W Nautilus but thatâs not the way the world works and everybody cannot spend 50k on a speaker. So when we buy speakers (or most stuff actually) we often look at our budget and then limit our options to what we can afford. Since we know how important it is to stick to your budget, weâve added party speakers from a variety of price ranges to our list.
Party Size and Location
If you think about this logically then it is obvious that a person throwing a small house-party for 20 people would not have the same audio needs as a person who invited 100 guests. So consider the number of people you typically entertain before making a final purchase decision.
Hand in hand with this consider the location of your party, more specifically whether it will be held indoors or outdoors. Some speakers sound amazing indoors but once you take away the acoustic effects provided by four walls and the roof, the sound âfalls flatâ. If you are planning to host an outdoor party, buy a speaker that will excel in that environment.
Itâs going to have to be powerful, and loud, and if you know that there will be water nearby, youâd also want it to be water-resistant or even fully waterproof. There are many speakers, like the DinDinModern, that are water-resistant, making them perfect for pool parties. Speakers rated IPX7 have no problem ending up inside the pool if the party picks up speed!
FAQs about party speakers
1. How can I test if my speakers are good? One great way to test the quality of your speakers is to begin by playing a sound or music through them quietly. Listen intently to the sound quality at a lower level before turning it up. If the quality and tone donât sound great at a low and quiet level, then itâs likely that the speaker needs replacing. Also, make sure that your speakers are connected correctly, as your music is only as strong as the cables and signals that it flows through.
2. Can certain sounds damage speakers? Yes, absolutely. Playing music through the speakers that are turned up too loud can damage the speakers quite quickly. When you over-power low-frequency speakers, itâs the fastest way to permanently damage them. Very often damage happens over time and it can be hard to tell that your speakers are permanently altered until itâs too late. To care for your speakers, ensure that the volume is at the right levels and that the frequencies arenât too overpowering to ultimately ruin the speaker.
3. What happens if speaker impedance is too low? All speakers have an impedance rating which showcases how difficult it is to power the speaker. The lower the impedance is on the speaker, the more efficiently music will be able to pass through the speaker. This is due to how easily the electrical signal can flow through it. However, if the impedance is too low on your speakers, it can result in a weak output and a low tone. Making sure you get appropriate resistors can help provide a solution for this problem, as they will dissipate one-fourth of the maximum power your amplifier can output.
4. How many watts do I need for my speakers? Usually, the higher the watts on your speakers, the better. Watts help provide cleaner and better sound, no matter which speaker you choose. However, 50 watts should be more than enough to enjoy listening to your speakers recreationally and professionally, in some cases. From there, small differences in power donât make a noticeable change in the quality of the sound. You would have to go up 100 watts per channel before being able to really tell a difference.
5. How can you tell how powerful a speaker is? Youâll be able to tell how powerful the speaker is by looking at the watts. If you are only listening recreationally and need something to fill the space, 50 watts will be adequate. If you are playing music professionally or want something with more power, 200 watts is said to be plenty of power coming out of that speaker. To determine how many watts your speaker has, you should be able to look at the back of the speaker box or the manual. Once turned around, there should be a plate or sticker on your speaker listing the wattage, voltage, and amperage.
Conclusion
Donât overthink your desire to play great music at your next party or gathering. Consider the size of the party, the location, and what you are trying to accomplish overall with the music as your friends and family arrive. And most importantly, donât forget to have fun with your guests. Choose the best speaker that will help you to enjoy the night the most!

How an excellent sports Bluetooth speaker keeps you motivated?
First of all, letâs talk about the usefulness of Bluetooth speakers/stereos?
Many people will say that nowadays there are mobile phones everywhere, and you can listen to music with headphones. Why use Bluetooth speakers? Then I will talk about why I should buy a Bluetooth speaker.
Music is already an indispensable flavoring agent in our lives, but the speakers of general digital products such as mobile phones, notebooks, iPADs, etc. cannot perfectly express the beauty of music, and some sound quality is relatively poor. Wearing headphones for a long time will affect hearing (I also I often wear headphones for a long time to listen to music), so in addition to headphones, sports Bluetooth speakers are my first choice. Unlike traditional speakers, they are bulky, cumbersome, and difficult to carry. They are compact and can be carried anywhere in the bag. The place is especially suitable for outdoor sports, the battery life is also good, the appearance is also great, the sound quality is also great, it can be connected to mobile phones, computers, and some have dust-proof, waterproof, drop-proof functions, and some have cool lighting , The atmosphere will be very good, which greatly enhances the sense of happiness and satisfaction!
How to choose a good sports Bluetooth speaker?
Which parameters should be referenced? At present, there are many and complicated Bluetooth speakers of various brands on the market, so you must pay attention to the following aspects when purchasing:
Sound quality To interpret a piece of music well, sound quality is the most important and critical element. Good sound quality should be noisy, transparent and clear at high frequencies, warm and comfortable at mid frequencies, and deep and powerful at low frequencies. In short, people should feel comfortable when listening. The drumbeat is clear, and the whole is smooth and natural. So how to turn these abstract senses into specific standards for judging sound quality? You can refer to some data indicators, such as speaker material, speaker quality, signal-to-noise ratio, etc.
1.Speaker material In general, the sound quality effect is wood>metal>plastic>resin. At present, the Bluetooth speaker materials on the market are mainly wood and plastic. Wood will be better, because solid wood will reduce vibration during the sound transmission process, thereby reducing distortion. But there are also disadvantages. Solid wood is easily deformed when it is damp, and its plasticity is poor, and the plasticity is stronger. The square shape of the box makes many consumers aesthetic fatigue, and more irregularly shaped boxes enter peopleâs field of vision. The appearance is higher and more cool. The sound quality of the plastic material is also excellent. It is not only the material of the box that affects the sound quality, but also the shape and sealing of the box. Like Zenith and some Japanese speakers are also made of plastic, which is environmentally friendly, and the sound quality is also excellent.
2. Signal-to-noise ratioBluetooth speakers will generate noise during operation, such as thermal noise, AC noise, and mechanical noise. The signal-to-noise ratio refers to the ratio of the normal sound signal played back by the speaker to these noise signals. The larger the value, the lower the noise and the purer the sound quality. Therefore, it is best to choose speakers with a larger signal-to-noise ratio when buying speakers. Generally speaking, speakers with a signal-to-noise ratio lower than 80db are not recommended. Entry-level Bluetooth speakers have a signal-to-noise ratio of at least 85db. Around 95db, 110db is a high-end speaker.
3. LoudspeakerAs the sound output terminal, the quality of the loudspeaker is decisive. Even if the material of the loudspeaker is used, the quality of the loudspeaker cannot keep up with it, the best material is a waste. A good speaker will not have broken sound and bad sound during playback.
Endurance The battery life of the Bluetooth speaker must be as long as possible. If the power is cut off while listening to music, wouldnât it be disappointing? Generally, mainstream speakers have a battery life of about 6 hours, which can last up to ten hours. Of course, the price will be a bit more expensive. It also depends on your purpose. If you use it indoors often, you donât have to worry about battery life. If you use it outdoors often, try to choose more than 8 hours. In addition, battery performance: Lithium battery> Ni-MH battery and Ni-Cr battery, preferably lithium Battery. For outdoor use, if you want to achieve the ideal playback time, the battery capacity should be more than 1500mAh.
Bluetooth version Try to choose a higher version. The most common versions are 4.0, 4.1, 4.2, and 5.0. The higher the version, the better. The Bluetooth version will affect the connection effect and sound performance of the speaker. The higher the version, the more stable the transmission, the longer the transmission distance, and the better the sound quality fidelity. If the Bluetooth version is too low, there will be intermittent music problems, which will seriously affect the experience of use.
Function It is mainly waterproof, dustproof, and drop-proof. If you use it outdoors frequently, it is recommended to have waterproof function. Other functions are selected according to their needs.
shape I am a face-controller. The appearance is very important to me, but I canât blindly choose a product with a mere appearance. We donât buy it as a vase. Try to buy speakers with both appearance and strength. In terms of function and quality On a good premise, choose pleasing according to your own preferences.
Recommended cost-effective Bluetooth speakers When purchasing products, you must choose according to your own budget and consume rationally. At present, the price of Bluetooth speakers in the market is very large, ranging from dozens of cheap to thousands of expensive, and the brands are mixed. It is not recommended that you go for cheap and buy other brands. , Publicity and actual use are two different things, try to choose the best-selling big names, at least the quality is guaranteed.Any of our winning options are quality speakers that will serve you well, but selecting the perfect one is about your preferences and ideal price point.Want more recommendations for the best sports Bluetooth speaker ? What Makes for a Good travel Bluetooth Speaker?
âThe reason why people love to travel is not to reach the destination, but to enjoy all the pleasures of the journey.â-Goethe
Traveling is a very poetic thing, carefree and secluded, close to nature, and love the landscape. So, what is the meaning of travel?
We are on the road, looking and crossing step by step, wandering and experiencing on the trajectory of time, stepping on every train of passing cars, and going to every unknown next stop. Under the sky full of stars, we indulge in singing and dancing, and fall asleep with the bright stars in the sky, and are gently awakened by the morning light. We are so lucky to live on a planet with a beautiful and transparent atmosphere, allowing us to look up at this magnificent night sky with shining stars. There are so many essentials during the journey, but music must be the most essential.
When there is music in the journey, it is a worthwhile journey. Iâve been travelling the world for a decade and a half, and no matter how much I whittle down my luggage to the bare essentials, I always have room for a small speaker.Good music is like an exile of the soul. We can clearly hear the resonance of various instruments in the ear cavity, and even the subtle sounds of the singerâs breathing and pauses. And a small bluetooth speaker with excellent sound quality and super portable is simply perfect. Bring music, speakers, and expectation and yearning for the distant place to enhance the texture and comfort of travel is a very pleasant thing.
There are many outdoor Bluetooth speaker manufacturers who usually contact us, but there are too few travel Bluetooth speakers with good portability and sound quality.Until I personally experienced DinDinModern. The most remarkable thing is its portability, not just to talk about it, but to the extreme portable design, very intimate, can be carried, can be hung, can be tied to a bicycle, outdoor use rate is extremely high.
In addition, its sound quality. In such a small size, this is the best speaker I have ever heard. The volume is large enough, and the maximum volume will not break the sound. The sound is very clean and transparent. Will not get bored, bring a good mood along the way. Speaking of the brand DinDinModern, their product quality is very good, and it is recognized and preferred by many music companies and music enthusiasts, but its product prices are usually very high. Compared with its excellent sound quality and subversive portable concept, the price of this DinDinModern is very close to the people. As a friend who loves music and loves to travel, it is a very good choice.
MATERIALS
Perhaps the most obvious difference between an indoor and travel speaker is the design. travel speaker have to last â withstanding elements like rain, hail, snow, and the occasional, accidental kickball. That means the materials used to construct them have to be durable.
Higher-end indoor speakers are made from delicate woods and polymers chosen for their ability to capture and reproduce fine detail during audio playback. For wireless speaker systems, youâll often see a lot more metal and plastic. In both cases, neither are waterproof, and the slightest accident could end up ruining your expensive component.
travel speakers, on the other hand, are often constructed from durable metals and plastics that wonât rot or rust when left out in nasty weather conditions. As you can imagine, that makes them heavier and can have an impact on sound quality. Still, a travel speaker is built to last, and a quality one will survive for years.
SOUND QUALITY
All of those delicate woods and intricately designed pieces contained within a high-end, indoor speaker arenât just for show. They accentuate the fine detail in the audio. But indoor speakers are designed to be just that â indoors. That means manufacturers are counting on the natural reflection and absorption (acoustics) of an enclosed space to generate the best quality sound.
Travel speakers often donât have the benefit of walls to reflect off of. Instead, theyâre designed to play loudly to compensate for the ambient noises of your wildyard. travel speaker often have bass drivers built in, rather than existing in a separate subwoofer.
In other cases, smaller, bullet-style speakers offer pointed, directional audio. These units can hide among foliage and landscaping while providing a centralized soundstage for easy listening.

How to choose a Bluetooth speaker with LED light to liven up your life?
BT speaker is an amplifier and loudspeaker having Bluetooth connectivity that does not require wire. You can pair it with your computers, laptops, tablets, iPods, and smartphones. They are nowadays available with colorful lights and variable sizes. They have replaceable batteries and rechargeable models and wall-powered units. The Bluetooth speakers receive digital audio streams from compressed host devices. They later decompress, decode and amplify audio through in-built speakers. They are easy to pair or connect and handy to carry at any location. The wireless feature helps you to stay tuned without cable ports or jacks that must fit your speakers like their conventional types.
Bluetooth Speaker with Lights
If you are looking to buy a Bluetooth speaker with lights, there is no better place to start your search than this one. We have prepared an interesting article in which we are going to explain all the important features you should be looking for. We have also tested a bunch of LED Bluetooth speakers with lights ,these best bluetooth speakers with light are becoming popular quickly among music lovers around the world. The display of colorful lights along with good quality sound gives a visual feast in addition to the enjoyable music. Letâs take a look at the basic functions of a good bluetooth speaker with light.
Bluetooth Version/Bluetooth Connection/NFC pairing
The Bluetooth version is very important whether we are talking about small or large Bluetooth speaker with lights. It dictates the range, connection quality, playtime, and sound quality. In general, newer Bluetooth versions (the latest is 5.0) are better. Depending on the Bluetooth version, the range can vary between 30ft (the majority of speakers have 30ft Bluetooth range) and 150ft. Connection quality and the sound quality (or the amount of compression) also depends on the Bluetooth version. Again, newer Bluetooth versions are better.
Pricing
It is always good to do exceptional research about pricing before buying a portable BT speaker. Only the brand name will not suffice. There are many branded devices with a low configuration in a handy Bluetooth speaker. There are many ruggedly designed portable speakers available in the market. They do not own a big brand name but have better features and enhanced quality. They serve far better than any of their rivals in the competition. The prices are fair, and not too high.
Water and Weather resistance and good built-up quality
The next important thing that comes to check while purchasing a Bluetooth speaker is its durability. If the manufacturing quality is not, decent, the speakers may become dysfunctional. Buy good quality BT speakers strong enough to sustain light scratches, sudden jolts, and falls. If the speakers are too fragile, you will need to take extra care of them. The portable device is meant to be carried comfortably on an outing, like a pool party or picnic with friends. So they should be spill-proof, dirt, water and weather-resistant. A frequent adventurer and music lover should look for the features which turn out to be USP in this case where you have to go for rafting, hiking, and mountaineering.
User-Friendly
It is necessary to become well-adapted with your device to avoid any issues that you may face while operating it. The user-friendly gadgets are better in such a case which lets you understand and use its features pretty quickly. User-friendly devices are quite easy to manage and control. There are many devices which come with such features that are easy to use and comfortably administered. It will not take you long to understand the features and understand its functioning.
Sound quality/Loudness
Sound quality is, obviously, the most important thing when it comes to speakers and it depends on many things (type of drivers, type of enclosure, Bluetooth version, etc.). You can get a pretty good idea about the sound quality based on the price but there are always some exceptions. Itâs also important to know what to expect for your money. Many of todayâs speakers tend to sound bassy, but there are also some speakers with a more balanced/natural/neutral sound signature. When it comes to small speakers, you might want them to deliver balanced sound. If they are tuned to be bass-heavy, thereâs a great chance that some midrange frequencies will sound muddy and muffled. Itâs a little bit different when it comes to large/party Bluetooth speakers. If you are going to use them mostly for parties, especially for outdoor parties, they should have a strong and powerful punch even if itâs slightly overpowering.
Output power for device charging
The electronic gadgets do need a power source to recharge. A device drawing higher voltages may lead to increased power consumption. It also depends majorly on the size of the speakers as to what extent do they need the power to recharge. A portable BT device may draw the energy from 2â5 watt range as the speaker drivers are smaller in size. It is the sufficient power range that can allow you to listen to the ear-shattering volumes.
Light Effects
Bluetooth speakers have an added feature which is essential to check before making a purchase. You should be clear in your minds for what purpose do you want to buy the speakers. If youâre going to buy them for small party purposes, choose the bright lights. However, if you wish to purchase it for hearing relaxing music make sure the lights on it are cool to display and have a soothing effect. In the latter case, too bright or DJ party lights can be discomforting to the eyes.
Battery life holds the top priority
Practically all the small Bluetooth speakers with lights on the market have built-in batteries and can be used indoors and outdoors but the playtime varies. Cheaper speakers offer up to 8 hours per charge (with the lights on) while the expensive speakers deliver even more than 20 hours with the lights on. When it comes to large/party speakers, the number of different choices is even greater since you have both battery-operated speakers and speakers without battery. The Bluetooth speakers without batteries are usually much cheaper than the ones with built-in batteries. In fact, some large Bluetooth speakers with lights but without the battery are much cheaper than small Bluetooth speakers with lights with built-in batteries. Also, different Bluetooth speakers have different types of batteries (Li-ion, lead-acid) which is one of the things that dictates the price. When it comes to large Bluetooth speakers with built-in batteries, the playtime varies from 7 to 20 hours.
Conclusion
The essential factors for you may vary according to your need and purpose for which you may need to buy the speakers. The DinDin Modern are easily portable and affordable ones, which is the best choices among customers.Any of our winning options are quality speakers that will serve you well, but selecting the perfect one is about your preferences and ideal price point.Want more recommendations for the best Bluetooth speaker ? How to Connect a Microphone to your speaker?
If youâre setting up karaoke at home, or just want to connect a microphone up to an existing device, then youâve come to the right place. Weâll go through all the best ways to connect a microphone to following devices individually, so keep reading!
Weâll give you plenty of options to try, but keep in mind that they wonât all work, it depends which type of microphone and model of device youâre using, so check the user guide of each device and microphone to confirm which methods are compatible. No matter what device or microphone youâre using, here are the main steps you need to follow.
Connect a Microphone to a Speaker
Connecting a microphone to a speaker can be really simple and direct, if youâre using a PA speaker, or one specifically designed for singing or karaoke. This is how to do it:You can sometimes connect the microphone and speaker wirelessly if they have a bluetooth function. Some microphones use an XLR connection and others use USB.
If your microphone isnât designed to take in a microphone input, then itâs probably because it doesnât have an amplifier built-in. Usually, the output of a microphone is not enough to drive a speaker alone. This is why you need an amplifier to help. You can go ahead and purchase an amplifier which will be connected to your microphone and speaker to link them together. Or, you can purchase a speaker specifically designed for microphone inputs. Here is the DinDin best speakers for karaoke. Thereâs something for everyone, with the lowest option being under $65.
There are a range of reasons why it wonât work to plug a microphone directly into a loudspeaker, including:
Passive loudspeakers: Passive loudspeakers have no amplifiers and so no gain can be added to the micronautical signal. To drive a speaker, a mic Level Signal is much too low. Active microphones: active microphones need some form of power (typically DC bias or phantom power) to work. Some active speakers, such as the Mackie SRM150, provide phantom power so that active microphones can work properly without being linked directly. Many loudspeakers have no such choice, however.
Letâs address briefly the difference between passive and active/driven speakers.
Powered loudspeakers have built-in amplifiers and need power for proper functioning. The driven speakers with micro inputs are designed to raise a micro-level signal to a speaker-level signal with enough gain. Therefore powered loudspeakers donât need external amplifiers. But with multi-channel mixing boards and amplifiers they can still be used (and are still used).Passive loudspeakers have no internal amplifiers, on the contrary. No external power is needed, but external amplification is necessary to effectively project speaker-level signals (boosted from micro or line-level).
Active Microphones Vs Passive
For microphones too, the words âpassiveâ and âactiveâ apply.Passive microphones need no external power and have no internal amplifiers (though passive step-up output transformers can boost a passive microphoneâs output voltage).
External power is required for active microphones (either through DC bias voltage, phantom power, or separate power supply). Vacuum tubes and FETs as well as the printed circuit boards of several microphones are the active components of active mics.
Vacuum tubes and FETs serve as both impedance converters as well as âpseudo-amplifiersâ and demand control. Vacuum tubes need greater power and hence tube mics are also equipped with their own power supply unit. FET (and JFET) microphones can run on a fairly low DC phantom power of 48 volts, or even a lower DC bias voltage.
All condenser microphones, and USB / digital microphones, are available. When they have active components some ribbon dynamic microphones are active.

How to use your Microphone properly?
The term âhand-micâ generally means any microphone held in the hand and used to pick up human speech. Hand-mics are used in a huge variety of settings, from musical performances to television interviews. When you say âmicrophoneâ, most people picture a hand-mic. Everyone knows what they are and what they do, and everyone thinks they know how to use them. Sadly, this is not the case.
Although there is a knack to using the hand-mic properly, itâs really not difficult to learn. Perhaps thatâs why itâs so frustrating to see people get it wrong â because itâs so easy to get it right.
Why Use Wireless Microphones?
Again, as I said last week, I always request a wireless handheld microphone. However, no matter what kind of microphone, your goal is to speak in a normal conversational tone. You should never strain your voice just to be heard.
Some speakersâ normal tone is quieter than average, and so a microphone can artificially amplify (although not significantly) their voice. For those who are naturally âloudâ speakers, the voice can be artificially adjusted downward to a more comfortable listening level. Again, any sort of strain will, at a minimum, limit your vocal variety, and worst case, will damage your voice.
Of course, any type of microphone can solve that problem, so why did I suggest a wireless handheld microphone? Because most people have never been trained. They donât know how to use a built-in microphone properly and it restricts movement. Iâve seen many speakers become frozen behind the lectern microphones; they donât seem to want to move their head or body because they are afraid they wonât get picked up by the microphone. Or worse, they do move around and the volume of their voice fades in and out as they move.
4 Tips to Remember When Using Handheld Microphones
Some of the biggest problems that occur when using handheld microphones can be remedied by remembering three simple rules. Once you know them, share them with others who may be less knowledgeable before they step on a stage. A second or two of instruction off-stage can save you many headaches on the mixing console.
1. Hold the microphone as close as possible to your mouth. Inexperienced users often hold a handheld mic down by their chest or at an armâs length from their mouth. To ensure the microphone adequately picks up your voice and nothing else, hold the microphone Female worship leader with handheld micclose â as if it were an ice-cream cone â within six inches of your mouth. Also, limit hand gestures to your free hand.
2. When you are not using the microphone or are pausing during your speech, rest the microphone near your chest. Avoid pointing the microphone at any loudspeaker or floor monitor. A mic pointed toward the floor may be positioned toward a floor monitor or other loudspeaker. Anytime you point a mic toward a loudspeaker or monitor, you create the opportunity for feedback to occur.
3. Avoid excessive handling of the microphone. âHandling noiseâ is the rumbling or static noise generated when the handle of a mic is bumped, rubbed, or passed from hand to hand. All of these actions create noise that can be picked up by the microphone and are amplified in the sound system. The basic solution is to refrain from any juggling of the microphone. Instead, firmly hold the mic in one hand.
4.Move your body.If you want to move to the left, move your entire body left, but leave your head angled right toward the microphone. As you shift positions again, just remember to always keep your mouth angled toward the microphone and approximately the same distance away. For most people, that takes some practice in order to look smooth and natural and to keep the sound level consistent.
With a handheld or wireless microphone you have the ability to completely move away from the lectern. I almost always recommend that speakers move away from the lectern â if not for the entire presentation, for at least for part of it.

What is portable handheld microphone?
portable microphones are designed to be held in the hand, but they can also be clipped onto a microphone stand whilst someone sings, gives a speech, plays guitar etc. Handheld microphones pick up sound directly from the mouth this picks up less background noise however, it does require a good amount of microphone technique.
Things You Must Know Before You Buy a Wireless Microphone
Those of us in the audio industry often take certain facts for granted. We know that a microphone needs a PA system to plug into, that an amplifier needs a speaker to make a sound, and that different sound systems fit different applications.
For audio novices â which can include everyone from meeting planners to teachers â creating a great sounding (or even merely functional) microphone system without any guidance can be a confusing task.
The main components of a wireless mic system are:
âMicrophone âTransmitter âReciever
Wireless Microphones come in various styles, each with a specific purpose. The most common however is the portable handheld mic.
A microphone is simply the component the user speaks (or sings) into. It converts the sound waves into electrical impulses which can then be amplified so listeners can hear it. In a wireless mic, the electrical signal passes to a transmitter which converts the signal into radio waves. (It can also convert the signal to infrared light waves, but for the purposes of this article, weâll stick to radio).
With a handheld microphone, the transmitter is usually built into the body (also known as the capsule) of the mic. In the case of a hands-free microphone like a lavaliere or headset, the transmitter is usually a pack the user wears on their belt.
The transmitter broadcasts to a receiver, which changes the radio waves back into an electrical signal which can then be passed to a sound system. (Arguably, the sound system is a fourth component).
Without any one of these components, a wireless microphone will not function.
You canât mix & match microphones and receivers.
Wireless microphone systems are usually sold in packages for a reason. Receivers by one manufacturer are often not compatible with mics and transmitters by another (or, sometimes, not even with a different receiver from the same manufacturer).
Thatâs because each receiver and transmitter broadcast on a specific frequency. A transmitter operating on one frequency wonât work with a receiver operating on another, and vice versa. Furthermore, frequencies are often not adjustable by the user.
Frequency compatibility is only one issue. Users may also encounter problems like encryption or proprietary digital conversion methods.
Of course, you may be able to find compatible transmitters and receivers from different manufacturers, but this is a tricky business and best left to professional sound engineers.
By far the easiest way to insure compatibility is to stick with the receiver thatâs recommended for each transmitter â or to buy a complete package.
You can only use one mic per receiver.
Letâs say youâve purchased your receiver and identified the compatible components. Now you can buy a bunch of different microphones and use them all at once, right?
Wrong. Each microphone needs a dedicated transmitter- and each transmitter, to function alongside the others, must broadcast at a different frequency. Youâll need a different receiver, tuned correctly, to use each mic.
Obviously, the more mics you add, the more expensive your system gets. Fortunately, manufacturers like DinDinModern make affordable multi-microphone systems that are easy for beginners to use.
This only scratches the surface of using microphone systems, which can be a very complicated topic.
Benefits of Portable Microphones :
[Multi-function]:The portable microphone can be used as a bluetooth speaker or player. [Easy to use]:Just long-press the power button to start this device. you can singing without connecting Bluetooth. [strong compatibility]:This bluetooth wireless karaoke microphone is suitable for all popular Android and iOS system, iPad, PC, laptop and all smart phones, and is compatible with various singing/video applications. [Nice gift]:Itâs a lightweight and interesting karaoke microphone, making you feel more comfortable.
Can a portable Bluetooth speaker be connected with a mic?

JBL Flip 4 vs Flip 5:which one do you like moreïŒ
Anyone looking for a portable Bluetooth speaker will find a lot to love about JBL products, and some of the latest and greatest offerings from the brand include the JBL Flip 4 and the JBL Flip 5. The former was released in 2017, while the latter came to us in 2019, and there are some key differences between them.
Thereâs no shortage of Bluetooth speakers on the market, but not all are worthy of your precious cash. Thatâs where we come in. Weâve picked out two cracking options â the JBL Flip 4 and its successor, the JBL Flip 5. Both of these wireless, waterproof wonders are perfectly portable and combine solid sonics with rugged designs. But, which is the best Bluetooth speaker for you?
Whether youâre planning a beach BBQ, a garden party or just want a classy portable Bluetooth speaker thatâll survive a splash, both of these JBLs speakers should be on your shortlist.
Read on as we pit the JBL Flip 4 against the JBL Flip 5 in a head-to-head battle, comparing everything from performance and price, to features, connections, build quality, toughness and more.
Similarities and Differences
At first glance, you might actually struggle to tell the difference between the JBL Flip 4 and the JBL Flip 5. In fact, when viewed from a distance, itâs more or less impossible to tell them apart. They feature very similar and distinctive designs, although the Flip 4 only comes in six color variations, while the Flip 5 is available in 11 different styles.
There are some minor differences in terms of size and weight too, but on the face of it, aesthetically speaking, you wonât notice a huge difference between the pair.
They both offer similar battery life and similar feature lists too, with both being IPX7 waterproof, easy to connect with other speakers and compatible with Bluetooth 4.2 So where do the differences actually lie?
Well, in spite of these high quality, durable Bluetooth speakers having so many features in common, the differences begin to appear when we look a little closer at the technology under the hood.
The Flip 5, as the newer model, offers a wider frequency range for stronger audio performance, particularly in regards to bass and treble, resulting in louder, clearer sounds.
The Flip 5 has the power advantage, and it also comes with USB Type-C connections, plus a sleep timer and one or two other little extras, but the Flip 4 is no slouch, offering a noise-canceling microphone, the ability to answer calls, and connectivity with smart assistants like Siri and Google Now.
JBL Flip 4 vs JBL Flip 5: sound quality
The Flip 5 might only have a single 44mm driver, but it has a better frequency response than the Flip 4 and outputs an extra 4W. The result? A louder, clearer, more agile sound thatâs packed with taut, pounding bass and plenty of mid-range sparkle. Not even the Award-winning Ultimate Ears Wonderboom 2 can match the Flip 5âs openness and acoustics, although the Wonderboom is a tad cheaper.
The Flip 4 might have two drivers to the Flip 5âs one, but it doesnât offer quite the same degree of sophistication as the Flip 5.
The good news is that the Flip 4 still sounds confident and agile. It serves up plenty of detail too, and the presentation is surprisingly spacious given its size. The bad news? It just lacks the dynamism and punch of its pricier sibling.
If your budget stretches and sound is a top priority, go for the Flip 5. It delivers a remarkably energetic performance thatâs hard to beat at this level.
JBL Flip 4 vs JBL Flip 5:Battery Power and Run Time
One of the unique aspects of using a wireless speaker, or any kind of wireless device, is that you canât rely on it running forever and ever. The battery will eventually drain down, and youâll have to find an outlet and charge it back up. This can be frustrating, especially when devices come equipped with weak and weedy batteries that donât last for too long.
Itâs always wise to try and find a wireless speaker that comes with a strong, stocky battery that can go the distance, letting you play your tunes for hours on end without any interruptions or a constant need to recharge. So how do the Flip 4 and Flip 5 compete in this regard?
Well, both of these JBL wireless speakers come with rechargeable, high powered batteries, but there are some differences to take into account. The Flip 4 comes with a 3,000 mAh battery, while the Flip 5 comes with a much bigger 4,800 mAh battery.
On the face of it, based purely on those numbers alone, you might assume that the Flip 5 will be able to last a lot longer, but in practice, thatâs not exactly what happens. In actual fact, JBL markets both of these speakers as having run times of around 12 hours.
Why? Well, as stated earlier on in the Sound Quality section, the Flip 5 actually outputs more power when playing music, meaning that it needs that bigger battery to compensate and can only just about match the Flip 4 in terms of run time.
So even though the Flip 5 has the larger of the two batteries, the run times for both of these models are pretty much identical. Some people have even said that the Flip 4 can last longer on average, and that the Flip 5 drains more quickly on max volume.
JBL Flip 4 vs JBL Flip 5: price
The JBL Flip 5 was released in August 2019 as an update to the JBL Flip 4.
At launch, the Flip 5 cost around ÂŁ120 ($120 / AU$149), but it currently sells for nearer the ÂŁ100 mark ($100 / AU$120)
The JBL Flip 4 hit the shelves in 2017 at ÂŁ120 ($110, AU$200) but prices have since dropped and the Flip 4 can now be had for around ÂŁ90 ($80, AU$140) or less. Keep an eye on the deals below and you might find price drop around Amazon Prime Day.
Wrap-Up: So Whatâs Right for You?
There are always newer, greater things on the horizon. Because Bluetooth speakers contain batteries, and all batteries have a limited number of recharges in their lifespans, you may have to replace your speaker after five years or so. So this is not a decision for life.
The Flip 5 sounds more powerful, crisper, and goes louder thanks to its improved driver, and USB-C charging is a plus if youâre using that for your other devices. If this is worth the extra few bucks, go for it, but the Flip 4 is hardly a bad choice.
Any of our winning options are quality speakers that will serve you well, but selecting the perfect one is about your preferences and ideal price point.Want more recommendations for the best Bluetooth speaker ? Check out our guides to the DinDinModern.

JBL Clip 2 vs Clip 4: Which is winner?
This is the review of the Comparison between two speakers from the same brand and from the same series. The comparison here is between the JBl Clip 2 and the JBL Clip 4. There is twenty dollars difference in their price range, to know which one is good for you to buy, go ahead.
introduction:
JBL Clip 2
The Clip 2 from JBL is a very small and compact Bluetooth speaker. I wanted something a little bit more portable, so I checked out about this speaker. Itâs not that Iâm disappointed with it, itâs just not as good as I thought it would be but itâs ok. This speaker is retailing for around fifty dollars currently on Amazon.
JBL Clip 4
As a replacement model of the âMusic Boxâ series that has won various international design awards many times, JBL CLIP 4 has a more fashionable and avant-garde appearance, more powerful professional sound effects and higher-level protection performance, thus bringing a more original All-weather music listening experience.
features:
JBL Clip 2
This is basically for people who want to have us JBL like a portable Bluetooth speaker that doesnât occupy too much space, itâs compact, itâs waterproof you can use this in the shower, you can use this while playing near the pool you wonât have any trouble if it falls in the water because it is IPX7 rated. Itâs not the best speaker in the world but I like the design of it, itâs pretty nice. You have either a Bluetooth connection or a 3.5-millimeter headphone jack connector, so you have both options and also, you can pair this wirelessly with another JBL Clip 2 speaker if you want to have like more like a stereo sound, a little bit more power, you can do that.
It charges in about two and a half hours and they promised eight hours of battery, then you have hands-free calling so you can use this to do hands-free calling on your mobile phone also connected via Bluetooth. The output power here has three watts frequency response is 120 Hertz to 20 kilohertz. In the box, you have the Clip 2 speaker itself, one micro USB cable for charging, you have the Quick Start Guide safety sheet and warranty card.
In terms of waterproofing, if this falls in the pool I believe itâll stay afloat for a while then a little sink, itâll go to the bottom of the pool. You donât want to keep it in deep water too long it is waterproof to a certain extent that is around 3 feet for up to 30 minutes only, so youâre gonna have to be careful. Donât use this for like diving in the pool there it makes no sense, you donât listen to music underwater anyway, so itâs just waterproof in case if it falls into the pool or something by mistake.
JBL Clip 4
Like the previous generations of products, JBL CLIP 4 still continues the transparent packaging design. The advantage of this packaging is that users can see the color of the product at a glance, so that they can choose their favorite color. Of course, this also shows JBLâs confidence in the value of its products. The back of the speaker is equipped with such a silicone twill, which can ensure the stability of the speaker when it is placed, and at the same time can alleviate the impact of sound quality caused by the vibration caused by music playback. For the hook part, JBL CLIP 4 has also undergone a comprehensive upgrade. It is made of aluminum alloy and silica gel. At the same time, it also adopts a full enclosure design to protect the speaker. At the same time, the hook is also the biggest feature of the CLIP series. You can use the hook to hang the speaker on your backpack, waist, or wherever you need to hang, so that you can feel the company of music at any time.
The charging interface set at the bottom of the speaker has also been upgraded. From this, the previous MicroUSB interface has been upgraded to a USB Type-C interface. Today, when the Type-C interface is fully popularized, such a small improvement can bring great convenience to users. No need to bring a separate charging cable for the speaker, you can share a cable with your mobile phone. In terms of battery life, JBL CLIP 4 has a built-in 3.885Wh lithium battery, which can provide up to 10 hours of playback time, which can meet the needs of daily use. A full charge takes about 3 hours. JBL CLIP 4 is equipped with IP67 dustproof and waterproof, which allows you to use it anytime and anywhere without fear of environmental influences. This has more possibilities for users like outdoor players.
sound quality
JBL Clip 2
In terms of sound, it doesnât have the highest volume, it doesnât have the best bass, thatâs just the reality of the situation. Itâs compact, itâs a pretty nice speaker, I wouldnât say itâs not the perfect sounding speaker at least it lacks a little bit of bass itâs kind of tiny in terms of sound but it is a pretty good solution for the price, you can get these for a pretty cheap price.
JBL Clip 4
Of course, as a speaker, sound quality is always the most critical. How about the performance of JBL CLIP 4? CLIP 4 has a built-in 40mm full-range speaker with JBL legendary sound effects, which ultimately brings excellent sound quality. At the same time, Harmanâs unique acoustic algorithm: Harman Algorithm DSP is also added, which can ensure the output volume, reduce distortion, and improve the low-frequency output, further highlighting the performance of the bass.
WHICH TO BUY?
In my opinion, you can buy the JBL Clip 2 if you want a speaker for under 50 dollars and if you want aux out. If you want better sound quality, better battery life, and USB-C for charging, if you are ready to give up aux out, and if you can afford 70 dollars, then you can buy the JBl Clip 4.
Any of our winning options are quality speakers that will serve you well, but selecting the perfect one is about your preferences and ideal price point.Want more recommendations for the best Bluetooth speaker ? Check out our guides to the DinDinModern.

JBL Clip 2 vs JBL Clip 3 Comparison
If you need a baby Bluetooth speaker, rest assured that the JBL Clip is the best quality product on the market for the price. But with such frequent upgrades to these things, itâs hard to figure out which model is better value for money. Is it worth getting the new and improved Clip 3, or should you settle for the cheaper Clip 2? Letâs find out in this JBL Clip2 vs JBL Clip 3 Comparison Review.
JBL Clip 3: What you need to know
The biggest difference between the JBL Clip 2 and Clip 3, at least in terms of appearance, is the clip itself. Where the older model employs an orange carabiner attached to a rubber loop, the Clip 3âs carabiner has a fully integrated design â in other words, the clip effectively surrounds the entire speaker. It is very convenient by the Clip 2 that you can easily replace it if you need a larger one or if it gets damaged.
The Clip 3 got a new speaker grill which now curves to the edges of the speaker and while the Clip 2 has the control buttons on the side, on the Clip 3 they were moved to the front of the speaker grille.I prefer the button placement of the new model, it looks better and more convenient to use.
Overall, the Clip 3 is a more stylish and well-built device.
MUSIC CONTROL
In terms of music control capabilities, there is no difference between the two models, both provide a limited music control capability.Which means that you can pause/play the music by pressing the âPlayâ button and you can skip a song by double pressing it.
Both speakers got an IPX7 water protection, so there is no difference here, they are completely waterproof. To ensure the water protection the ports are covered by a waterproof flap by both models. The design of the flap is better by the Clip 3, it is larger and easier to connect the cables to the ports.
Durability
When comparing the two speakers, it becomes clear that all the parts of the Clip 3 are more seamlessly stuck together, and thereâs a little more insulation and rubber padding in the back. In fact, the JBL Clip 3 is a little wider on all sides, adding more surface area to the speaker as well.
Functionality
Youâll get the same functions on both, the Clip 2 and the Clip 3. But JBL has simplified things by moving the the play/pause and volume controls to the front of the speaker. I like this change to the design because you no longer have to look to the side of the speaker to find the buttons. And it makes accepting calls faster as well.
Battery life
The Clip 2 has a 730mAh battery, which was upgraded to 1000mAh in the Clip 3.In my outdoor test, when I played various types of songs on the speakers at 70% volume, I measured 13 hours 20 minutes by the Clip 2 and 8 hours 50 minutes by the Clip 3.
Repeating the same test at maximum volume, the Clip 2 could play for 3 hours 40 minutes, while the Clip 3 for 5 hours 20 minutes. So at maximum volume the Clip 3 performed better with its larger battery, however, surprisingly at 70% volume the Clip 2 was the winner.Unfortunately, none of the speakers have a precise battery level indicator, so you do not know the remaining battery percentage.
Clarity
Quality of sound may be the biggest and most impressive upgrade to the Clip 3. In fact, itâs enough to give me buyerâs remorse about my older Clip 2. Although the frequency range technically remains the same, I heard lower lows and higher highs on the Clip 3. And the detail also improved dramatically. In fact, it made the Clip 2 sound a little cloudy in comparison. Ugh. Anyone want to buy my Clip 2?
Conclusion
So, which one sounds better? Thereâs no question, the older Clip 2 is the clear winner. Thatâs not to say that the Clip 3 is awful, or that it doesnât do anything better than the Clip 2 from a sonic perspective. High frequencies, for example, are better represented on the Clip 3 and its maximum volume has also been improved.
However, the Clip 3 is no better at reproducing low frequencies than its predecessor (which is hardly surprising when they both have 40mm drivers) and the new model lacks mid-range presence of its predecessor, which results in weaker-sounding vocals.
To what extent youâd notice the difference when hiking up a mountain with the speaker clipped to a backpack is open to debate, but where the Clip 2 has an appealing, warm sound, the Clip 3âs sound signature is bright to the point that it quite often sounds a little harsh.

Apart from the electrifying bass and stereo sound, the Flip 4 comes with a 3000mAh battery, which translates into approximately twelve hours of playback time. This newer version of the Flip series also boasts a waterproof construction, which means that you need not worry even if you accidentally drop it into the water. The Flip 4 also has the upgraded Connect+ enabling you to connect your JBL device with over ninety Connect+ devices and amplify audio without compromising on the quality. The Flip 4 device also adds several new colors for you to choose from.Letâs dive into why the JBL Flip 4 is such a common choice alternative for music lovers.
Clear Speakerphone Itâs not just about music. The JBL Flip 4 also enables you to take crystal clear calls and enjoy noiseless conferences, all thanks to the echo-cancellation feature in this device.
The all-new JBL Connect+ The seamless connectivity between JBL Connect devices just got better. However, the basic structure is quite similar to its older variant, which is still among the most aesthetically amazing JBL devices to date.pros The battery lasts up to 12 hours It is waterproof and can be submerged into water The design remains compact and contemporary It comes with Connect+ cons Still carries the same design from Flip 3
The major difference between JBL Flip 3 and JBL Flip 4 the major difference between JBL Flip 3 and JBL Flip 4 that JBL Flip 4 is fully waterproof where JBL Flip 3 is splash-proof. JBL Flip 4 has better battery life with 12 hours of playtime where JBL Flip 3âs battery life gives you only 9 hours of playtime. in addition, JBL Flip 4 has JBL connect+ while JBL Flip 3 has only JBL connect.
Reasons to Choose the Flip 4 Over the Flip 3 Flip 4 The Flip 4 is the successor to the Flip 3 but does it warrant the extra price premium from your hard-earned money? Letâs find out.The Flip 4 is more compact and offers a slender design. It is lighter and more portable making it much easier to carry around than the Flip 3. Moving on the sound, the bass reproduction on the Flip 4 is much more accurate and powerful making it a perfect Bluetooth speaker for people who love listening to bass-heavy songs. When it comes to usage, you are better off with the Flip 3 for small gatherings as it is much easier to carry around. To add to its advantages over the Flip 3, you can connect up to a hundred Flip 4 speakers using JBL Connect+to truly bring the music to the party. The Flip 4 comes with IPX7 certification which the Flip 3 does not. It means that you can submerge the speaker under water for 30 minutes without any issues. Of course, it does mean that you should dip your speaker in water as other chemicals or corrosives may damage your hardware. However, it feels great knowing JBL put in effort to protect the portable speaker from spills and drops. Finally, you also get access to more battery life with the Flip 3 thanks to the smaller size. You can expect up to 12 hours of usage according to JBL if you play music at medium volumes. Expect less usage time if you always max out the volume.
Reasons to Choose the Flip 3 Over the Flip 4 Flip 3 Needless to say, the Flip 3 is larger and offers a more powerful audio experience. At maximum volume, the larger grille on the Flip 3 barely edges past the Flip 4. However, it does fall short in terms of audio quality when it comes to bass-heavy music.Design is another factor that may tip you towards the Flip 3 over the Flip 4. It offers a more robust design compared to the slim and slender design on the Flip 4. The speaker feels bulkier and better built than its successor. Most importantly, you pay a premium for the Flip 4 considering you receive minor upgrades that are very situational. If you do not listen to music with a lot of lows or do not need the waterproofing, you can definitely save some of your hard-earned cash and go for the JBL Flip 3 instead without a doubt.
Conclusion This article talks about the JBL Flip 3 vs. Flip 4 comparison in detail, in addition to a brief overview of both devices. It will enable you to make a well-informed decision. As far as our verdict goes, both the devices boast ample features. If you are an enthusiast who wants to enjoy the upgraded versions with top-of-the-line technologies, the JBL Flip 4 is certainly meant for you. It comes with the newer Connect+ and a larger 3000mAh battery. On the other hand, if you love to enjoy excellent audio quality regardless of the deviceâs version, you can get the Flip 3, or continue using it if you already have it.So, that concludes our take on the difference between JBL Flip 3 and Flip 4.Any of our winning options are quality speakers that will serve you well, but selecting the perfect one is about your preferences and ideal price point.Want more recommendations for the best Bluetooth speaker ? Is The JBL Clip 4 Worth Your Money?
There are so many small Bluetooth speakers available, itâs hard to not say to yourself, âOh, screw it!â, and buy the first one that sells for what you want to spend. That kind of thinking could be a mistake because there is a lot of good to great speakers selling at good to great prices. One such speaker is the new JBL Clip 4 ultra-portable waterproof speaker. The question is, âIs it good or is it great?âThe Clip 4âs audio upgrade doesnât come without a few drawbacks. It lost some features in the redesign, no longer including a 3.5mm input or an internal microphone for taking calls directly. Itâs also rather pricey for a speaker its size. But its mix of great sound and a versatile, truly rugged design, makes this a speaker youâll happily transport from the confines of your shower stall to the hotel, the pool, and just about anywhere else you want to jazz up your favorite tunes.
What it is? The JBL Clip 4 ultra-portable waterproof speaker is a small, handheld Bluetooth speaker with a built-in aluminum carabiner allowing the Clip 4 to be securely attached to a belt loop, backpack strap, or anything else you can think of. The Clip 4âs oval shape fits and feels good in the hand. Itâs waterproof, dustproof, and rugged enough for inclement weather and even total water immersion. There are seven colorways available in the US: Black, Blue, Gray, Pink, Blue/Pink, Squad (camouflage), and Red. Charging is via USB-C.Who should get the JBL Clip 4? Bike commuters will greatly appreciate the redesigned carabiner on the Clip 4. Students may not have room for something like the JBL Charge 5, but they can still enjoy dorm-filling sound from this tiny speaker. Outdoor enthusiasts can take full advantage of the IP67 rating on their adventures. (Just make sure you donât blast your music too loud: people want to appreciate nature too.) Anyone can use the Clip 4, and it even makes for a great shower speaker.
Whatâs it like to use the JBL Clip 4? Design and features JBL has a habit of just tacking a number on their speakers as theyâre updated. The Clip 4 is no exception. It follows the Clip 3 (still available), which followed the Clip 2, which followed the original Clip. I reviewed the original JBL Clip speaker in 2014, noting that not only was it not waterproof, but it also couldnât even get wet. The new Clip 4 has a respectable IP67 waterproof rating (30 minutes at 3 feet completely submerged). Over the years, Bluetooth speakers sure have improved! The Clip 4 comes in many colors. My favorite is Gray because the parts look like their leftovers from other speaker colors giving it a hand-me-down eclectic look. The front and back of the speaker are covered in a durable cloth sandwiched over a tubular aluminum frame. Large silicone buttons protruding from the fabric on the front and side of the Clip 4 make it easy to select On/off, Play/pause, volume, and Bluetooth pairing by feel only. Thereâs also a giant, matching silicone JBL logo on the front speaker grill. A silicone linear grid on the back grips the speaker in place when placed on a hard surface. How long does the battery last? JBL amped up the battery life on the Clip 4: it lasts 10 hours and charges via USB-C. It takes three hours to recharge the speaker and there is no fast charging. The 10-hour battery life varies, and depends on the volume output. If you crank the volume to the max, donât be surprised to find the battery life falls short of the official readout.Does it more durable and more accessible Weâll talk about the lesser aspects of the conspicuous new look further below, but one thingâs for sure: the Clip has never been easier to use. The boldly labeled control keys at the front stand out much better than those on the Clip 4âs predecessors, making it easy to adjust volume with the side keys and control both play/pause and song skip with the center key.Does it sounds good for its size? You donât expect a lot from a speaker this totable, and frankly, while Iâve quite enjoyed the Clip 3 as my bathroom buddy for the past year, its sound always came off with a bit more ping (and a lot less bass) than Iâd like. Hey, itâs just a shower speaker, right?Powering up the Clip 4 to hear its rumbling audio trademark, I was immediately impressed by the rich and full bass response. After all, weâre talking about a 40mm internal driver, the same size as what youâll find within the earcup of your favorite travel headphones. And yet, what JBL has managed to pull out of this little thing is special. Iâve heard a lot of small speakers, and especially when youâre talking about budget models, the Clip 4 blows the majority (including its Clip 3 sibling) out of the proverbial water. Going back and forth between the two felt like going from AM to FM. Goodbye tinny bass, hello full-fledged sound.
Should you buy it? Absolutely, this is one of the best speakers in my arsenal The Clip 4 sounds better, works better, and is more durable than the already-handy Clip 3. Is it the best Bluetooth speaker out there? No, and in fact, I own two speakers that easily outdo it when it comes to sound quality: the Megaboom 3, and the wondrous Bowers & Wilkins T7. That said, both of those speakers cost a pretty penny more than the Clip 4 and neither is as packable or as versatile. Most notably, the Clip 4 is the first speaker of its size that Iâve actually enjoyed listening to, and that means Iâm going to bring it along â and be glad I did.The Clip 4 is an obvious choice for those seeking an extremely portable shower speaker youâd actually want to listen to. As the maxim goes, you should always be willing to invest in the things you use every day, and while you can get much cheaper speakers in this class, youâll hear the difference. If youâre the kind who loves to wake up to music (or podcasts) in the shower â or wherever you find yourself â the JBL Clip 4 is a fantastic investment.Any of our winning options are quality speakers that will serve you well, but selecting the perfect one is about your preferences and ideal price point.Want more recommendations for the best Bluetooth speaker ? Should you get the JBL Clip 3?
A portable Bluetooth speaker is becoming one of the must-have gadgets for any music enthusiast. Most of us would rank it as a perfect companion everywhere you want to listen to music. Be it days at the beach, park, picnic, or a night out at the bonfire; portable speakers are the perfect music device.
For the last few years, the JBL Clip series has been one of the top options if youâre looking for a tough little speaker that wonât break the bank. The latest of which is the Clip 3, which kept the best aspects of the previous Clip 2 and improved on some of the most important features. But how much better did it actually get? Letâs find out.
Whoâs the JBL Clip 3 for?
Hikers. If you like camping or hiking you likely already have a carabiner or two, but this one has a speaker on the other end of it. I mean, câmon.
Shower singers. With the IPX7 waterproof rating and the built-in carabiner, the Clip 3 is perfect for hanging in the bathroom. Plus, it gets pretty loud so you can hear what youâre listening over the water.
Podcast listeners. The Clip 3 is definitely lacking in the low end due to its small size, but the emphasis on vocals makes it a solid choice for anyone that just wants to listen to a podcast while going about their business.
Build Quality/Design
Starting off with the build quality and design, the JBL Clip 3 is a good looking speaker. the speaker feels dense when you first pick it up and you can tell itâs made to take some heat. On the front of the Clip 3 we have that same durable mesh that many speakers have been using these days. On the back we have a rubbery, plastic material that contains our buttons and the water resistant flap.
In the middle of the back of the speaker we have a pretty large piece of clear rubber to keep it in place when you set it somewhere. It also provides great grip. There are many different color options but the color I have here is grey which I really enjoy. Surrounding the speaker we have the metal hook that really improves its portability. You can attach this thing to a bag and barely even notice itâs there.
Battery life
Clip 3 has a battery that boasts of 1,000 mAh in power. That allows the device to run for up to ten hours after a full charge. The up-time is an improvement from the 8-hour run-time present with Clip 2. Besides, it takes three hours to charge the JBL Clip 3 Bluetooth speaker fully.
Sound Quality
Now, letâs get to the important part of the review, the sound quality! Let me start off by saying I was actually impressed how this thing sounded with its small size. Whenever I review small speakers I expect to hear muddy, and not very clear audio. But, with this speaker JBL really improved it. The audio is not muddy and is surprisingly clear for this size. The volume gets decently loud, and JBL definitely improved it from their Clip 2.
Once you get to the top volumes you will lose some of the audio quality and resolution, especially with the high frequencies, and the bass isnât anything to be excited about but its not bad either. No more complaints though because overall I was fairly impressed with the audio. Now, letâs get to the audio test and after I will tell you whether or not I think the speaker is worth the price. You can take a look at the audio test from the video at the top of the page.
Waterproof
Clip 3 lists its waterproof capabilities as bearing the IPX7 Standard. By this, the brand means that this Bluetooth speaker device can undergo a full splashdown without damage. You can practically drop the speaker in water levels of up to 3 feet and still have the speaker working.
Another high possibility is that waterproof protection can allow Clip 3 to sustain long periods of exposure to rain. However, this is only capable for up to 30 minutes as too much exposure may clog up the speaker.
Impressive colors
If you have come across the Clip 3 product list, you will also notice the different models available. All these have practically the same functions of the Clip 3 portable speakers.
However, individuals who would love to fiddle around with colors have the option to try different color purchases. You can choose from a list of over ten colors available.
Stellar portability
The portable speaker remains one of the smallest sized models I have come across. It is small enough to fit into your hand and take it anywhere practically. The micro-sized speakers and carabiner sum up the ease of plugging it anywhere without a fuss.
Whatâs it like to use the JBL Clip 3?
At first glance, there isnât much of a difference between the new JBL Clip 3 and the previous version, but then you look a little closer and notice the subtle differences. Sure, it still has a carabiner, but unlike the Clip 2 â this one is built into the frame of the speaker instead of being a small metal triangle hooked onto some hard plastic.
The JBL Clip 3 also still has the same three playback buttons as the previous model, but now youâll find them embedded in the front fabric of the speaker as opposed to the small indents around the edge. With its latest model, JBL seems to have a coherent design language across its products now as the buttons are consistent with the other speakers in the product line-up. The biggest upgrade is around the back of the speaker, which is now a solid plastic instead of a cutout for a 3.5mm cable. Especially since thereâs still a 3.5mm input so if you did want to plug in all you have to do is provide your own cable.
Should you buy the JBL Clip 3?
While the Clip 3 is still a very good travel speaker, itâs been e JBL Clip 4 is available now with a few newer features like a sturdier carabiner, Bluetooth 5.1, and an IP67 durst and water-resistant. If you feel like shelling out the extra money for JBLâs newest toy youâll get these added perks, but otherwise, itâs very similar to the Clip 3.
Any of our winning options are quality speakers that will serve you well, but selecting the perfect one is about your preferences and ideal price point.Want more recommendations for the best Bluetooth speaker ? Check out our guides to the DinDinModern.

Is the JBL clip 2 worth it?
JBL upgraded a few of their products this year, and weâve taken a look at almost all of them. We saw the Flip 3, Charge 3, and now weâre taking a look at their little brother. The JBL Clip 2. This is the updated version of the Clip+ which was on a ton of best speakers under $50 lists, including ours. The Clip 2 has a new design, new build materials, and is also $10 more expensive. So is it worth it? In short: Yes.
Whatâs inside
Usually when unboxing a speaker we pull everything out so you can get a good look at each accessory. But we donât really need to with the JBL Clip 2. Sure, it does come with some warranty information and an instruction booklet, but the accessories that matter (the carabiner clip and 3.5mm audio cable) are built right into the speaker.
Waterproof
Itâs a really great little speaker and fills a hole in the market. A lot of people will take a portable Bluetooth speaker and leave it somewhere whilst they shower. This could prove dangerous as most speakers wont be able to handle the moisture in a bathroom, let alone actually water splashing all over it.
The reason why we tried bringing it into the shower is that itâs IPX7 waterproofed meaning it can withstand water submersion for up to 1 meter. Not that itâs useful when underwater but any liquids around should not pose a threat. The housing is also now a smooth rubberized plastic, with five dimples for each of the buttons.
Battery Life
Battery life is probably the single most important upgrade in my opinion. With most speakers this size a 5 or 6 hour battery life is considered fairly average, but JBL claims the new Clip 2 will get you a solid 8 hours of constant playback. Itâs not going to blow your mind, but thatâs a big deal considering the previous version topped out at only 5 hours. That extra bump in battery makes this speaker way easier to recommend now, since itâs actually usable for a good portion of the day. Still, donât expect to get much more than 4 or 5 hours if youâre playing it on max volume. An issue Iâve been realizing is becoming annoyingly persistent.
Sound and Call Quality
When it comes to sound quality, the Clip 2 delivers its JBL brand. Itâs loud and ideal for most music genres but leaning on pop and electronic. We tested it paired with a OnePlus 3T and Spotify in normal quality setting.
We started with âToxicâ, a Britney Spears classic, since pop music is something JBL is known for. We enjoyed the song with a good amount of bass for its size. At max volume, thereâs noticeable vibration but nothing major. Next, we have âI Will Waitâ sang by Mumford & Sons which is of neo-folk and rock genre. Vocals are clear as well as the strums although, again, at max volume, thereâs the strong vibration of the lows. Lastly, we have âA Beautiful Messâ of Jason Mraz to test it out with acoustic songs and itâs not much different from the first two we tested.
After multiple playbacks, we were able to pinpoint the weakness of the JBL Clip 2 and itâs the bass. For its size, honestly, itâs understanduniable. Itâs just that in 100% volume, it produces minor distortion. One thingâs for sure though, this pocketable speaker can go really loud to fill a big room.
Conclusion
In the end, JBL Clip 2 is a worthy successor. With the improved design and waterproofing alone, itâs already more attractive than the first gen. Although, the bass, like before, is still wanting due to the small driver and lack of dedicated woofer. For its size, we canât expect so much.
Any of our winning options are quality speakers that will serve you well, but selecting the perfect one is about your preferences and ideal price point.Want more recommendations for the best Bluetooth speaker ? Check out our guides to the DinDinModern.

How good is the JBL Clip portable Bluetooth speaker?
JBL has established itself in the speaker segment. They have a product for almost every use, be it for indoors or outdoors. Their Bluetooth speakers not only have nice designs, but also unique features. A few examples of this are the JBL Pulse and the Charge. Joining the list now is the JBL Clip. Itâs one of their most portable speakers and around Rs. 3,000*, and also one of the lightest. The speaker comes equipped with a clip that allows you to carry it with ease. It looks like a very nice product to tag along on hiking trips.
Now having a standout product can be a problem sometimes: put out one great thing, and everybody expects more from whatever you release next. Fair or not, that is exactly the situation the JBL Clip was in when we brought it in for review. So, did it hold up to our expectations?
Build & Design
While weâre looking at the classy black model, the JBL Clip is available in a few different colors: blue, gray, purple and red are all options. The speakerâs design is interesting, but this isnât the first time weâve seen it. The Logitech x100 boasted a similar design, though there are a few differences that set the JBL Clip apart. First is the somewhat more understated color options.
Features
Underneath the metal grill, lies a 1.5-inch driver. It has power output of 3.2W. It sounds loud enough for outdoors. JBL also mentions a frequency response of 160Hz â 20KHz, which looks good on paper for a speaker of this kind. However, weâll find out how well it does, when we start testing it with music. Apart from the auxiliary port, you also have Bluetooth connectivity. On the official website, JBL only claims compatibility with Android and iOS devices. The speaker also comes with a built-in microphone that lets you answer phone calls when connected to the speaker. There is a dedicated button on it that lets you pick-up incoming calls.
Connectivity
Bluetooth is so common in portable speakers these days that you just assume itâs there and, indeed, it is here. Pairing is fairly simple: power the speaker on for the first time and it immediately enters pairing mode. Once itâs on, just pair from the device of your choice. Bluetooth range is standard at around 30 feet and not once did I run into any stuttering or breakups during testing, as long as I stayed within range.
An interesting touch is that the speaker has its very own built-in 3.5 mm cable. Forget to bring a cable for your old, non-Bluetooth iPod? No problem, the JBL Clip has you covered. This, as you might imagine, is very handy. Another interesting touch is that JBL has included a 3.5 mm out jack on the side, meant for daisy-chaining the Clip with another speaker.
Despite the small size, JBL didnât skimp on the buttons. On the right side, youâll find the volume buttons, white the left size holds the power, Bluetooth and call buttons. Speakerphone quality was fairly decent, with both incoming and outgoing voices loud and clear.
Performance
Itâs surprising how loud the JBL Clip is for its size. You wonât have much problem having the Clip around when youâre on the move. Itâs like a small boom-box by itself. But like any portable speaker, the JBL Clip doesnât handle high volumes too well; some distortion can be heard when you crank up the volume. While playing heavy metal bands like Iron Maiden, Tesseract and Tool we could only hear distortion. It was mostly the guitar riffs and drums that sounded unclear. Mids and vocals though sounded very good.
The JBL Clip also lacks a little when it comes to bass. Thumps in bassy songs just sounded flat. However, it doesnât take away the feel out of the song. What the Clip loses in depth, it makes up in sharpness. Overall every song we played on the speaker sounded crisp, especially the acoustic songs. Details in songs can easily be heard. We found the speaker performing really well while playing slow melodic songs like âDream Onâ from Aerosmith. Everything sounded balanced, starting from the guitar riffs to the amazing vocals. Connecting the speaker using Bluetooth is simple. We were able to play music from a distance of 25-feet without any glitches. We also had a few phone conversations with the built-in microphone. Itâs possible to have a good conversation even when sitting at a distance of 5-feet but we recommend sitting closer if you donât want the other person to hear any of the background noise that might be present.
Concluson
We really liked the JBL Clip. When it comes to portability combined with good audio, itâs one of few options that wonât cut a huge hole in your pocket. Itâs also stylish and the carabiner clip, although not a great feature, can come very handy in certain situations. The wide range of funky colours also makes it quite attractive option for outdoorsy youngsters.
