It would be so tragic, but make so much sense if the only reason Arthur has gotten as far as he has is because Faroe loved him. Even after death. Even after he failed her. She stuck around. And in turn without knowing such, he held onto her. He wouldn't forget. He never forgave himself. But she did.
What if that's the only difference...
Not to take the word of the chaos embodiment for certain, but Kayne doesn't seem to quite lie, and he does say that there are universes Faroe lives, but there are VERY few that she still loves him. Oof. What if that's what makes Arthur so special.
Arthur being told that Faroe is in the fire, coupled with the way he carries the lighter around in his pocket with him all the time. He may forget about it sometimes but that doesn't mean that it left him. The way the lighter has 'this too shall pass' on it, the way arthur has to use the lighter in the dark to see, the way the lighter brings light that can help ease discomfort brought on by uncertainty, the way the lighter helps them to Survive. you understand.
Hey. Hey. So. Is Faroe the lighter? Because the first thing that came to mind to me is that Faroe is the lighter. And I haven’t seen anyone else say that yet so maybe I’m insane. And I’m also emotional as hell over that episode what the fuck.
Also that owl isn’t normal—I want an animal friend but please there is no way this one is normal.
Really liked Mallam though, if that’s how you spell it, am guessing here. Silly guy—I would have booked it I did not trust him at all till like half way through.
More thought tomorrow I’m tired and sad and aaaaaah about everything in this ep.
