I have a feeling this won't be the last season but just the last season this fall. I think they'll make another one next year or something. It's interesting she said "this fall" she didn't say the last season for good. Skam is so big and important to so many ppl and she was going to make 9 seasons. I'm sure she had an idea about each of these seasons and it obviously didn't have to be because the character goes to school so it's not like it can't be done bc the characters will have graduated.

Hello anon!! I think the same. I mean, it’s not like I think they are gonna make for sure another season but there'a still a bit of hope. Ok, so, firstly let’s clarify things: “takk for nå” is a common expression used in Norway and it doesn’t mean properly “thank you for now/we are done for now”, it actually means something like “thank you for what we did”… someone shared it on Twitter. Secondly I do think that we could get another season (other seasons?) because they decided to end Skam now basically for our fault. I mean, we all saw the last clip, we all saw what Julie Andem did (putting screenshots of lovely/hateful comments), it was our pov, I don’t think we need much words. We all know how much hate Julie got while the season was airing, we all know what she has been going through, how much she felt oppressed, how much she tried to please everyone. We stressed her out and she tried to do her best but people still are ungrateful (see the comments under her last photo on Ig, most are upset Chriseva shippers). She did her job, brought to an end this season trying to please everyone and I feel like she was looking forward to it because this woman was just full and tired. Her was a h 24 job and they weren’t many people in that crew. Skam wasn’t mean to get this big, they didn’t expect this. I think all of these things, us asking too much, us criticising this season, people being mean and rude and ungrateful made her give up. “Give up”, maybe give up for now. She needs a break, I can imagine how she must feel. I don’t think they would’ve actually made 9 seasons, she had just an idea so maybe she would’ve picked some among those characters on the basis of the importance of topics. It’s interesting though that she said, in fact, “this fall” and not “skam ends with this season, it has been a beautiful journey” or something like this, so we won’t make a season this fall like we used to to, but maybe next year? It’s interesting and I think we shouldn’t sleep on all the russbuss talk in s4, that basically characterised an issue this season. What’s the point in talking so much about it if we won’t see it? I know (I read it somewhere) that russtiden is actually so stressful for norwegian teenagers and that they feel anxious about it, so this would justify all that talk but still… Skam meant to represent norwegian teen life and russbuss is part of it so… I’m not saying anything. It’s interesting that after Skam ended Julie Andem continues teasing us liking comments on Ig that say “make another season, Julie”. It’s interesting that Carl and Ina recently said in an interview “Skam ends… for now” and that’s not like “thank you for now”, that actually means that the show is ending FOR NOW. It’s interesting that Carl and Ina also said “Julie needs a BREAK”. Exactly, Julie needs a break. Needs a break because she worked 24/7, she has been stressed, she received hate. Julie Andem only wanted to make a thing for us (yeah, also us now, because Skam got big) but people didn’t learn anything from “Be kind, always” and “Alt er Love”. There’s no point in giving up when the show is receiving good ratings and has a big audience. I think she just felt full and stressed and she has all the right to, oh God. I hope she’ll get better soon. So, I am not losing hope for now.

i had this theory from the moment i read julie's insta post when she announced sana's season and (supposedly) the end of skam. she said: we are not making a new season this fall. THIS FALL!! skam seasons come out in spring, too...SO MAYBE THEY ARE TAKING A BREAK. ina said in a recent interview: "we all need a little break" or something like that ... WHAT IF!
