M: OH, KYO U?! YOU ATTEND KYO U, RIGHT?! KYOTO UNIVERSITY?!

R: Y-…yes.

M: OHHH, REALLY, HOW ARE YOU WITH MY IDIOT…? WHERE DID YOU MEET?!

S: You were already told they went to high school together. Everyone OK with beer?

H: Sis, you can’t have beer.

S: Ohhhh, is that right… for real??

M: OH, THEY SAY THAT KYOTO U IS A LOT LIKE TOKYO U, DON’T THEY?! WHICH ONE HAS SMARTER STUDENTS?!

S: This might cause controversy.

H: Hey, mom, why are you being such a bonehead?

Hikaru’s father: Sajou… Rihito-kun.

F: Is that right?

R: …Yes.

F: It’s the same name as my Hikaru.

R: …..Um… this was all so sudden… you must have been very surprised.

F: Haha, well, I must admit… But you know, when it comes to important matters, he doesn’t talk about them readily. Here’s the moment we’ve all been waiting for! Blanc’s Drama CD has finally been released as of 10/28. I received my copy much earlier than anticipated, so I decided to share it with you all! I’ve also included the booklet as a bonus within the zip file within Disc 1.Happy Listening, lovelies!~  You can follow along with translations from the manga if you do not understand spoken Japanese, or the language at all.

Back from Hiatus~!

Hello everyone, I am so sorry I’m just now coming back! I had a couple of things going on in my life and needed to step away from the internet for a bit.  If anyone has sent me messages, I am responding to all of them as we speak! Here are some blog updates going down:  Blanc’s drama CD was released just a few days ago and I will be uploading them for your listening pleasures~ I highly encourage you to check out @chibisunnie‘s posts for manga translations! You can follow along with it if you do not understand spoken Japanese. She has done AMAZING work translating all of this for us so please check her blog out! I’ll be posting updates, where to find things, and other things as soon as I can get things complied!

and can you enlighten me again with the meaning of the names? Hikaru Kusakabe and Rihito Sajou.

Rihito/Licht is the German word for Light. Hikaru ( Hiragana:ひかる/Kanji: 光る "to shine") is a Japanese 'ru' verb for Light as well! ♥ They both have the same name in different languages!

This week is for all fans to show their creativity and love for Asumiko Nakamura’s Doukyuusei series, whether it be through fanart, fanfic, graphics/edits, cosplay, etc. All media types are welcome, and anyone is welcome to join in the fun!

@kusajo Let’s not forget, Sajou even acknowledges this about his relationship with Kusakabe no matter how they’re doing. He knows that Kusakabe is quite literally the shining light he needs to find a purpose in this world other than what he thinks he should be doing, professionally speaking. The same goes for Kusakabe. Music is his passion, but his love for Sajou is even greater than that. They are lovers who inspire each other to be more than what they think they’re worth, even when they both feel undeserving of the other. It’s no coincidence that their names mean exactly the same thing. One light can make the other bright, two light’s of the same caliber can burn brighter. I adore them with all of my heart ♥
