so i got watching a ton of new tv shows lately, and it occurred to me that actually i do love it when characters are unexpectedly saved by someone who just happened to be exactly in the right place at precisely the correct moment, yk? and i failed to think of the right name, so the title of this list is entirely thanks to a very dear friend of mine who informed me! so here's a list, i hope you guys love it, DO NOT ADD TO THIS LIST OR EDIT IT!!! i like to edit them over time as new ideas come to me.

[ ALIBI ]: the sender provides a false alibi to protect the receiver from legal issues.

[ HAND ]: the sender suddenly arrives to grab the receiver's hand before they fall to their death

[ CAR ]: the sender arrives on scene as the impromptu getaway driver for the receiver (who hadn't been expecting it).

[ FATAL ]: the sender unwittingly arrives on scene when the receiver is being attacked, and to protect the receiver, they kill the assailant.

[ DISTRACT ]: the sender provides a diversion so the receiver can escape a dangerous situation.

[ OUT COLD ]: the sender knocks out an assailant before they can seriously wound the receiver.

[ DUNNO ]: the sender lies about the location of the receiver in order to protect them from pursuers.

[ FAKE ]: the sender, in a situation where they're forced to kill the receiver, only pretends to kill the receiver and takes their "dead" body away in the car.

He squeaked out the old title as he once again vanished behind his shoulder, arms wrapping around his waist tightly as a loud scream filled the air, letting him know that the poor woman on the screen had indeed met the gruesome death that he had expected. You'd think he wouldn't be as sensitive as this, but it turned out, he wasn't the biggest fan of horror movies! "...I don't think I like Halloween much!"

"...but then you'll be cold instead". He glanced back at Mink, watching him for a second, before shifting to accept the coat, not really wishing to risk having any type of argument over it, or to fall ill and make him worry. His body was weaker than others - he should be more careful, especially since he was now outside, away from that sterile environment he'd grown within for so long. "Where you looking for me? I'm sorry, I should have said I wanted some air", he gave a soft smile, before glancing out over the town again, "It's weird, the air feels nice, even when there's a chill like this - don't you think?"

He'd never had the chance to do something like this before, so of course, he had went a little overboard, looking up the types of traditions that came with this time of year and insisting that all would be done. Pumpkin spiced cookies were currently baking away in the oven behind them, the smell of pumpkin filling the air as Sei worked carefully on carving a face into the pumpkin that Mink had scooped free for him earlier.

He was being careful - but making the pointed teeth of the mouth was much harder than it seemed, a small hiss heard as he dropped the knife in surprise, blood dripping from the side of his finger - though Sei had just frozen in place, watching the bright red drops form against his ghostly pale skin. It took Mink's voice to snap him out from whatever type of trance he'd fallen into, a slow blink given as he forced himself to focus, flinching at the increase of pain, "It's nothing serious", he replied, glancing around the kitchen for the first aid box, "They make it look a lot easier than it is".

Suddenly, Ukyo finds himself in a dark, unknown dimension. He can't see anything and there's a strange smell of tomatoes, sugar, and vinegar in the air. That's when he realizes it. He's in the ketchup room for his sins of ass holding.

What's annoying him the most is the darn mess of this place, his face screwing up in disgust as he tries to work out just how his dumb ass had ended up in such a stupid situation in the first place. This is why he's always got to be on alert - the other him is too much of an idiot to survive on his own. It's going to take multiple baths to get the smell of this out his skin and hair - and if he ever finds who's responsible...well it won't be ketchup that they are left covered in.

"You've already been so helpful for me - I'm sorry that your experience wasn't quite as expected", he gave a weak laugh as he finished placing the last of the broken china in the trash, glancing around the kitchen once more, double checking that there wasn't anything left behind that could injure any of the kitchen staff when they returned tomorrow. He was just lucky that this was one of the rare days that the manager hadn't been in - it'd allow him to take the blame for all of this. It'd been an accident, and in his eyes, mainly his fault too. It was near the end of the day, and he'd allowed for the dishes to build a little too high, only for this girl beside him to suddenly appear by his side, scaring him enough that he'd knocked into the counter and caused the dishes to scattered across the kitchen floor - which had made more than enough noise to chase off whoever happened to have scared her enough to make her come around the back in the first place.

"Anyway, I would like to help you. You seemed panicked...before I managed to panic you more, I mean", he smiled, but soon a look of concerned formed instead, "Are you okay?".

She really was as delightful in person as she had seemed from a distance, Ukyo smiling as he found himself becoming almost enthralled by her words, her praise only adding to the overall daze that seemed to be inflicting his senses.

"Well, that's the beauty of art", he said as she finished speaking, her fear one that he was sure most artists shared, "We see the world in a different light...sometimes that's difficult for others to be able to see...though I am sure that anything you made would be as beautiful as you", he blinked as though just realising what he'd said, colour flooding to his cheeks as he quickly looked away.

"W-what I mean is...", he coughed slightly. Sometimes more bold statements like that would slip out when he wasn't being careful enough - and that now left him looking more than a little foolish, "...I'd love to see some of your work one day", he finished weakly.

As she seemed to relax, he couldn't help but to smile, glad that his lie had been accepted as easily as it had been. The best lies were often those hidden within the truth - and it wasn't as though he hadn't been taking the pictures earlier. "A few years", he found her rather easy to relax around now, "I'm a professional photographer - I've always found something rather relaxing in capturing still shots of the world...". Before the chaos came to destroy everything - capture the beauty of the peace that came before the storm. "So, you are an artist?"

"...I think he just leapt into the river too..." It was becoming rather obvious that the man was rather confused by everything that had just happened, somewhat just relieved that he'd managed to avoid his camera from falling into the murky depths of the nearby river. His ability tended to be harder to control when he didn't have it nearby, though the fact it hadn't worked on the strange 'mummy' looking man was still also concerning. "But you do know him?", he continued, turning his attention back to the child now that he'd finished packing away the rest of the props he's been using. It was supposed to be a simply scenery shot of the city as the sun set in the background - but the skies had now turned too dark to meet such expectations, even with the way he could influence light sources, it wouldn't be enough for the natural feel that he'd been after. Thankfully, he still had a few days before the deadline - but he also now needed to be on the look out for that stranger - his gaze falling back towards the river once more. It had to be freezing, not to mention the grim and dirt. Who in their right mind would willingly jump into such waters?

Also, if he was looking for some woman to perform a double suicide with, why still jump into the water alone after finding out that Ukyo was actually a man? Ever since arriving at this city, it'd been one strange event after another.
