Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2022)
Plot : After nearly 50 years of hiding, Leatherface returns to terrorize a group of idealistic young friends who accidentally disrupt his carefully shielded world in a remote Texas town. (IMDB) Review : The Original Texas Chainsaw Massacre is iconic. It has characters you loved, characters you wished they would perish and a villain you could believe. Leatherface was feared because these event’s could happen. Hooper became a god because he didn’t strive for greatness. He just wanted to make a movie with a low budget. The sequel starts with the famous title scroll and then descends into the film. There’s not much one could say about the script. Bleak, lackluster and when they could not think they threw buckets of blood at the screen. I wish I was joking when I say the script should never have been greenlit. Teens want to create a sanctuary against what the world has become. This in turn disrupts the life of Leatherface and the gore starts flowing. You can still have a film with a bad script if you have good characters. This film does not even have that as each character is bland and undesirable. It’s no fault of the actor’s, it’s just what’s there. Note : I Know there’s a returning character that's has caused controversy. I’m not one of those with a picket sign for returning character’s. I’m tired of the same introduction of returning character’s in films.
The film is quoted for being brutal and it is. It’s just gore with no reason. Even with film’s like martyrs, devil’s rejects and Baskin noted for there brutality the gore / brutality still made sense. The film just pours it on and serenades Leatherface and his chainsaw mid center. As for the kills there are some good and brutal one's that are drowned out with a chainsaw. There is a reason Tom Savini is considered a master. His kills were unique, brutal and an artform in practical effects.
The real meat and potatoes is Leatherface. Burnham is without a doubt a worthy Addition. The menace, the stance and the physical appearance all match. It’s the way Leatherface is written when thing’s fall apart. In the original movie Leatherface was a menace with a childish mind. He killed out of hobby and took pride in killing and skinning people. Here he deliberately seeks out his victims and does so based on revenge. The lingering camera as he takes someone’s face isn’t needed as I feel it’s implied. The original film was mentally violent with suggestive images. In 2022 there are no subjective images and Leatherface himself is on a warpath.
Texas Chainsaw (2002) is just a mess of a film. Uneven without any knowledge of what made the original work. Colin stetson should be proud as the musical composer as it’s the best that has come from the film. Everything else falls flat that i feel dumber for watching. One of of 10 shrieks Images :

Book Of Boba Fett
Robert Rodriguez is a good director. If you take a look at the episode’s he directed in Boba it’s clear he’s not star wars material. It’s safe to say they kept a lot for Mandalorian, obi-wan or Ashoka series but what’s left is not Memorable . In my opinion the . The good parts could have easily been adapted into the other shows. I’m sorry to say 2-5 planet destroyer’s.

Reacher (TV Series)
Plot : Jack Reacher was arrested for murder and now the police need his help. Based on the books by Lee Child. Episode 1 : Welcome to Margrave Episode 2 : First Dance
Review : Hollywood love’s it’s john wick hero’s. Let’s be honest in those type of movies they are fun but unrealistic. Reacher showcases military background making his fights grounded. Here we have a highly educated man with military training and the stars to prove it. Simply put don’t fuck with Jack Reacher. When passing threw a town and before he can drink his coffee or eat his pie Reacher get’s arrested by the local police. Not his town and not his problem he just want’s to leave. Reacher keeping to his own and barely talking is now a suspect in a murder. Once it’s settled he had nothing to do with it another incident happens that is very personal for Reacher and he decides to stay. Helping the few loyal cops in town it’s them versus a corrupt entity. Murders are happening, certain people and government are corrupt. Reacher though not original, highly entertaining. The script is smart and with the cast it has only entices the viewer more. Sometimes we need drama and interaction more then action. When the action does come it’s safe to say it does not hold back. We hear bones snap, punches land and sometimes blood. It’s refreshing to see a smart script written without the typical Hollywood clichés of mission impossible. I’m looking forward to see were it goes and if the show can stick the landing.

The Wonderful Wizard of OZ (1900)
Wizard of OZ is a classic, even the movie counterpart is considered a classic. When the pen went to paper for the script of OZ it came with a lot of delusional changes. The book is not a musical, it’s not a dream and Dorothy does not act like a child. There of course plenty of other changes when the book went to the big screen and listing all of them could fill it’s own book. Most know the story of how a simple farm girl from Kansas got swept in a tornado that took the house, her dog and of course Dorothy into the land of oz. Upon landing in Oz her house kills one witch and settles in the land of munchkins. After a discussion with a good witch she sets out on the yellow brick road to meet with the great and powerful Oz and meets acquaintances along the way. Frank Baum was in my own opinion a genius. He wrote Oz in a way that never overstays it’s welcome and keeps us entertained until the very end. In his descriptive text he explains the setting’s and characters just enough the reader get’s the general visual idea but then leave’s the rest for us to imagine. The brilliance of this as you read Oz is that we become attached. When thing’s happen later in the novel we feel for the character’s and wish them the best. If you think you know oz because you seen the Judy garland film then your sadly mistaken. There are backstories Baum give’s us and scenes that never make the film. It amazes me some of the change’s that were made and how the movie regains the simplistic format of the novel at the same time treating it’s audience like were not educated. Simply put in the movie Oz is a dream because they felt the audience would have a problem believing in a fairytale. There are more enemies Dorothy meets on the way to Oz, what happens to the witch is ultimately more appealing and the ending expanded after they get what they want. The ending basically is another lesson for the readers. I’m going to be reading the other 13 books in the oz series and I'm excited to do so. If you haven’t read oz it’s a quick but ultimately satisfying read.

The Rising of the Shield Hero
That I binged all 25 episode’s in one sitting should be testament enough. When discussing demon slayer with a friend she asked if I had ever seen the anime. I Replied no and now here we are. Plot : Naofumi Iwatani, an easygoing Japanese youth, was summoned into a parallel world along with three other young men from parallel universes to become the world's Cardinal Heroes and fight inter-dimensional hordes of monsters called Waves. Review : The anime at first glance seems ordinary. We have the hero’s, the enemies and the companion’s. This is there strength as the anime weaves and intertwines you fall in love with these characters. Naofumi starts off on the bad side of things for more then half the run time. Being singled out and hated for being the shield it takes some interesting turns. Having to form his own companions this is were thing’s get interesting. He picks Raphtalia a slave for his sword since he can’t use one himself. She goes from shy and awkward into a powerful sword wielder with unmatched loyalty for Naofumi. It’s Naofumi who picks the egg that would eventually filo another companion. Filo with the ability to change from bird into human for this trio could not be anymore awkward.
There are many enemies, from monsters called waves into the mistaken citizens ruled by an unjust king. It’s here were the trio’s bond is formed. Together they fight not only monsters but injustice that is put onto them. They must stick together if they want to survive and out of the four hero’s Naofumi is the only one who grasp the bigger picture. The rest are ignorant, selfish or misguided who’s actions have consequences that the team cure on the way threw the land. I’m not saying the anime is perfect or original. I’m simply saying i was not bored one bit. I Want more, need more and will be reading the manga so i can continue it before the anime continua's. Thanks' Megan for telling me about the show.

In 1990 Frank Baum wrote the wizard of oz. Baum had no intent in making a sequel but the children demanded more. The complete stories of Oz is all 14 books in one massive novel. Since we finished the last book it’s time we move on into the land of oz.
I’m already 15 Pages in and loving my re-visit.

In every generation (Review)
Description : The first in an all-new series by New York Times best-selling author Kendare Blake continues the world of Buffy the Vampire Slayer featuring the next generation of Scoobies and Slayers who must defeat a powerful new evil. A new Slayer for a new generation… Review : In every generation is the truest essence a season of buffy. This can be fantastic if your a fan or dismal if you caught just the occasional episode. As a fan myself and having seen the show countless of times I can say in every generation is for me phenomenal. The book grounds itself in the familiar cast. With willow, Oz, spike being at the front and the occasion cameo. Make no mistake though this book is not about them. It’s about Frankie the daughter of willow. Frankie knows the lore, knows the stories about her mother and the original Scoobie gang. It’s when at a slayer meeting shit goes sideways Frankie is awakened as a slayer and put into action. Frankie with her own scoobie gang that consist of Jake a werewolf from Oz bloodline & Hailey who’s older sister is Vi. It’s up to them in ultimately stop the chaos that surrounds them. This is reminiscent to season one of buffy were everything is new. That’s honestly my favorite part of the book. How everything is new and yet familiar in various ways. Kendare knows and is a fan and it shows. She has the old scoobies language, adapts new characters that fit and exabits storytelling that makes u feel like it’s a sin to put down the book. So what’s the book exactly about? The book starts of who fans would know as one of the slayers in season Seven. She’s looking after Hailey. Vi goes to a convention of slayers but keeps Hailey at home. She’s protective and then the convention get’s attacked. Were then transported into new sunnydale that’s been rebuilt and the story shifts to willow & Frankie. We learn what willow’s been up to and oz who’s now living in sunnydale with Jake. They have grown up together and after the convention situation happens frankie is activated. Spike shows up bringing Hailey and we learn spike is Vi’s watcher. From this point on in the story it’s a cat and mouse game of what happened, vampires, demons, a new slayer and all the goodness that is buffy the vampire slayer.
I have read various reviews and IMO avoid them. This is a trilogy and if you have knowledge of book trilogies or trilogies in general there will be plots with open endings. There will be a learning curve for characters and this seems to be the bases of many reviews disliking the novel. I Highly recommend any fan of the show to give this book a chance. I Get the fear of when you love something so much you don’t want it tainted. Kendare is a fan rest assured and does the lore justice. 4 / 5 Mr Pointy’s.

In every generation (First Impression)
Spoiler free so some bits will be vague. If u want to know more read the book description. If you want to do yourself a dishonor then read the spoilers. I’m as a fan will not spoil anything.
Buy the book from amazon.
I’m only 150 pages into the novel but also wanted to give my first impression. There is a lot going on and even more one needs to take in. Writing in the buffy universe can be tricky. There are characters fans know that you need to get right. Spells that are spoken on television and not written. This all needs to be taken into consideration as well as the plot itself. This is were Kendare shines. She’s not just another author but a fan. She knows our passion for the show, it’s characters and how they walk and talk.As for the story it takes place in the future. We follow Frankie Rosenberg, daughter of the legendary Willow Rosenberg. Sunnydale has been rebuilt and everything is great. Frankie has grown up with buffy and the Scoobie gang. It’s when an event happens and things turn dire Frankie has a choice, more so the characters we have grown up with also need to make a choice. These choices can make or break and set’s up what will be the trilogy.I Have read some early reviews on people’s opinions. What i feel is there looking at In every generation as it’s one book. It’s going to be a trilogy and this means not everything will be explained, not every plot comes to a conclusion. Iv personally read other buffy books, iv read the comics and still there’s something special here. This feels like it could be season 8 and a passing of the torch. Frankie is smart, funny and uneducated. This allows the reader to grow with her. She has the original characters down and takes them into new areas. There are bits of humor along with scenes of tension. I Personally can’t wait to dig in, learn more and close the book. I Already know it will piss me off because I'll want more.

All for the Game (Trilogy)
The Foxhole Court
The Raven King
The King's Men
There are many thing’s I want to say and I can’t. Those would be spoilers and that’s the last thing I'll do to anyone. I Can say that All for the game is in the top 10 of my favorite book series. The first book thinking back is an introduction. Your given a front role seat to Neil who has been on the run. U read about how he’s recruited as a fox, the other players on the team and the threat. Hanging on a cliff hanger the second book picks up were the first ended. It’s in this novel we get deeper into the character’s and first hand witness of how much shit can goes down and pulls on your heartstrings. The finale book and the finale is about growing up. The character’s we have grown to love are forced into reality. Neil is faced with there is no reason to run and what trusting means in a team. Some need to face there past and other’s look into the future. 5/5

Scream (2022)
This is when thing’s can turn controversial. I Prefer the sequel over the original and have a deep soft spot for the 3rd film in the franchise. cream in the purest of forms is a love letter. A Bloody and often times gruesome love letter. With Wes craven having passed in 2015 many wondered how or if any new films would be made. Radio silence came in and gave us another solid entry in the slasher franchise. When watching scream my favorite aspect is getting the references layered in the film. Some were obvious as other's were for die hard fans. From the script into the characters themselves it all blended in wonderfully. No Spoiler Review of scream (2022)Scream follows a new path of mayhem and slaughter back to the streets of woodsburrow. People are dying and the killer once again is hidden behind the ghostface mask. The kills here are more graphic in nature. The teens playing by new rules as this is a requel and not just a reboot or a sequel. This is done in a toung and cheak way that feels like the other scream films. They need help and this is were the legacy
characters come into play. For the most part the film is laid out beautifully. It's great to see the faces most of us have grown up with. Radio silence took some risk that I'm not sure everyone will get onboard with. These risk for me felt more in vein that the gloves were off. As for the teen cast some work and other's i just wished they were killed off. One of the most off putting idea's for the film is that every character seems to have a relation toward another character in the scream cannon. I Feel we could have had one or two and then the rest of the cast was just along for the ride. As for the legacy characters nev as sidney was missed and you feel that but when she comes on screen it's such a pleasing moment. Arquette and Courtney also fill there roles as if they never left. I'm not going to spoil anything because the films who did it element is a big part of the series. Just keep your eyes pealed. There is a lot crammed into the film. From name drops and references to the other films. Like i said before it's more a love letter then just another movie in the franchise. I personally see the first two screams as iconic then we have 3 that was way more tounge and cheek. The fourth installment felt like it tried to hard. If i had to give the film a placement it would be 2,1,5,4,3.Scream has it's flaws and the loss of Wes behind the camera at times does hinder. What this film achieves is more then i ever dreamed.
I Would rate it 3/5 and if you plan on seeing it then watch 1 & 2 again before hand.

Demon Slayer 2x14 "Transformation"
This post contains spoilers.
Demon Slayer 2x14 "Transformation" (Spoilers Warning) 5/5In the last episode we got Nezuko go full demon. A lot of people who have never read the manga were in anticipation for the conclusion of nezuko. When i read the manga the conclusion broke my heart. I Was beyond excited to see this finally animated and like Mugen Train being excited was one aspect and at the same time emotionally not ready. Nezuko had control up to this point and seeing her only family Tanjiro nearly dead tipped the scale. She completely lost it and daki had no outlet but let Nezuko beat her nearly into the ground. Even when daki slashers her into parts she keeps a hold threw her own blood. Tanjiro having to bring her back into reality after she see's blood is in my opinion one of the most emotional parts of this show. It's family and when Tengen finally comes onto the scene and says sing her a lullaby the family aspect hits come. Tanjiro singing a lullaby from his mother and then a flashback that sends her crying then morphing back into her child form.
With the arrival of Tengen and him cutting off Daki's head the real villain's of the arch emerge. Gyutaro the brother of Daki finally appears. This took fans by surprise and me with glee. Now were in the final fight and Gyutaro is creepy with such a unique voice I'm positive he will become a fan favorite villian. Now every slayer is in the same area, the fight's about to begin and... END. For me this episode packed a punch in it's short runtime. Nezuko and daki both went and got emotional. Tanjiro had to fight for his sister and Gyutaro is now on the scene with a stunned Tengen. Zenitsu & Inosuke are also in the area for the final fight. This is easily for me to rate with 5 stars across the board.
