hi hi!

to assuage your fears, glbh does have shaemond as endgame!! They are the main pairing and will end the story together! however I have warned everyone before and I’ll restate it just for posterity’s sake, the ending of glbh will be bittersweet. I don’t really consider it “happy” to be very honest besides some things, but that’s why it’s bittersweet! Some good some bad :)

I know that jaime already doesn’t like rhaegar because of cerseis not so subtle crush on him but I genuinely want to see how rhaegars and jaimes relationship will progress

oh it’s gonna be bad, I can promise you that. bad in like a totally fun and angsty teen drama kinda way, but also, Jaime’s gonna be romancing Rhaegar’s sister, his…wife, aaaaaand that’s just gonna be messy! But it’ll be fun!! It’s actually what I’ve been looking forward to writing most!!

And yeah! If GLBH ever comes down for *reasons*, I’ll be posting a Shaera/Qoren ending. I’ll also post one anyways! And I’ll still have the shaera/aegon fic up and updating (I promise y’all I will return to it!!), so there will always be it somehow!

Hiii I hope this isn’t weird or anything but the way you write is genuinely so so SO captivating i have read pretty much every book of yours and there have never been any moment where the plot, the way you develop characters or just simply a simple scene where i was not in literal awe.

But my favourite just hasss to be “the dance of dragons” the way you write for my favourite bbg rhaegar?? Oh my the hyper fixation has me on a choke hold im afraid 😭 it’s not very often than I come across a rhaegar fic so TDWD is a real treat (btw how we feeling about the new fan art that dropped with elia rhaegar and aegon?)

To be honest I’m dreading future scenes between aerys and nyra but I also NEEDDDDD them to an abnormal level :(

Qoren is very aware that Shaera married him for alliance and because she sees him as a good friend. Do you think that’ll grate on him as they progress through the years? He says he’s okay with being her husband and not be in love but I think that’ll wear him down.

Oh for sure!! I do think people forget (and I don’t blame them) that this marriage is not one of love!! It’s of duty and sacrifice, and Shaera got lucky because Qoren is kind and a genuine friend to her! Just because they’re married and perform their uh…ahem duties, doesn’t mean they’re all lovey dovey!

Qoren definitely feels something close to love for Shaera, but I wouldn’t call it exactly that. And Shaera definitely is not romantically in love with him, but she’s doing her best. And while that might seem to work for now—and their genuine care for one another, and their own goals—it’s not sustainable in the long run so long as Aemond is alive! Like I’ve said, Shaemond is endgame for a reason! I think so long as Aemond is alive, Qoren will never take that place in Shaera’s heart, and I can’t imagine how exhausting that would be for him :/

Do you think when Aemond sleeps he dreams about a future with Shaera but in the morning he doesn’t remember them but he has a feeling that he was happy and so he cries?

oh 1000000% not only because he’s down atrocious for her still (and won’t admit it cause doing so would require him to admit guilt to some capacity), but also it’s like how she haunts him! He may be able to pretend she’s not there when he’s awake, but his mind and heart know the truth and what better way to remind him than when he can’t fight it off? and rn especially, and later on during the fic, he’ll definitely miss her more than he lets on!!

Hi hi!! Not annoying at all! I pinky promise tdod is not abandoned or anything! I’ve been slowly writing the next chapters because I’ve been so consumed by glbh lol and outside writings! But there is a chapter written for it, and I just need to add some more stuff. I hit a block with my timeline and spent so long trying to fix it, and just wasn’t happy with the draft, so I restarted, and now it’s indeed alive but need to post! Especially cause these next chapters at Dragonstone will have spoilers for GLBH KSKSKSKS!

But here’s a snippet cause I’ve kept y’all waiting for so long!

(Arthur accepted his role. He did. He accepted that his love could only exist in his dedication to his princess.

But he wanted to ask.

He wanted to ask her if she loved Rhaegar. If she kissed her brother for the first time on their wedding day, or if she had known the prince’s lips long before as he assumed was the case. If she never loved him as much as she loved Rhaegar.

He wanted to ask Rhaegar if he knew how much Arthur yearned for Rhaenyra Targaryen, and still pursued her despite it all.

Surely Rhaegar would never do such a thing?)

Hey if you don't mind me asking how are you sure that there are going to be exactly sixty chapters on green lies black hearts?

Hi anon! I don’t mind at all!!

So GLBH has been outline for a little over two years now. Since then, ive taken into account how long chapters are and what all plot points I want to hit. Some later chapters are already written (such as the ending!) and some are just plot beats. Knowing how long chapters are, and how my pacing is, I know that glbh will end at around 60 chapters. I’m giving myself wiggle room of about 5 chapters five or take on either end, but 60 is what ive felt very confident on! This doesn’t include an epilogue tho!

But I can see myself only hitting 55 as well. It all depends on how quickly we move through, and how content I am with that pacing and the plot beats! This is also because I anticipate about 10k word chapters, and I always sorta thought I’d end around the 600k mark (rn we’re just over 410k at chapter 37, which I’m happy with).

At the end of the day, everyone can be confident in 50+ chapters! But sweet spot I’m aiming for is 60! The ending remains the same all throughout, and I just need to edit things based off of how writing has gone! This is true in any writing project tbh. The ending isn’t tweaked because I changed it, but characterizations always influence that stuff so I just wanna make sure things stay consistent (as I rn have to edit the ending of my original novel that goes on submission with my agent soon, as the general idea stays the same, but the revised build up has changed, so gotta adjust!).

well good thing this is fandom and people can do whatever they want :) also I used Lucerys in the collage as well so my oc isn’t a “stand in”, and I also don’t give her Luke’s qualities because he’s his own character and my oc is her own character as well. but I bet you’re fun at parties :)
