Coming out of my shell

A couple days ago I realized a few things.

1. I keep wanting those I try to make friends with to be exactly how I am as a friend. Always going above and beyond. And if they don't I have a habit of cutting ties easily.

2. I've put myself into a shell and have become shy. I keep waiting for ppl to become my friend.

So it came to me that we need have friends. Whether they're good at being a friend or not doesn't matter. What matters is they're our friends. Just let them be who they are. Don't get bent out of shape over it. And sometimes you gotta push and be the first one to make contact to make friends. Stop being scared of being rejected. Think of it as an experiment in life. You learn who to and how to interact with others. That's especially is the case when you're rejected. Just don't care about it, don't let it get to you. There are always many more ppl in this world who would like and appreciate your company.
