Thanks for checking out my comic, I wanted to write a proper chapter with an interaction between Jr. And Lupin.

One of the themes I was fascinated by in the Lupin manga was youth and crime and I wanted to write about that.

This retcons some known stuff about Jr. but I kind of wanted to rewrite him a little.

Basically, Jr. can't help but sort of fantasize about the freedom of being a criminal because he's never directly seen how horrible the criminal world actually is.

Jr. has never met his father and has only heard stories of him so he idolizes him as a fledgling criminal, and seeks him out to prove he can handle the Lupin name.

Lupin knows how destructive the criminal world is and refuses to teach Jr. anything about the Lupin family out of fear he could become just like him.

Lupin gives false leads to Jr. about his whereabouts as a means to keep him distracted, but it only inspires Jr more. To me, Lupin is also doing this as a way to fix his own past, and not put Jr. through the same things he went through as a child, and as another way to bring down the last pieces of his grandfather's Lupin Empire he despises.

Jr. is obviously aware about the game of cat and mouse he's in, but continues to believe if he continues on his father will finally trust him, thus bringing us to the events of this chapter where Jr. manages to track down the real location of Lupin, mid-heist.

Some line animations I did of scenes from the Lupin III manga chapter where he has become a vampire and is talking at his gang to explain.

I did the one with Goemon first because it was easier.

I've had this idea in my head for Astro Boy for a while, but what if we weren't let in on the fact that Astro Boy was a robot? Like, after Tobio gets hit by the car, and after the scene with Tenma holding his son in his arms, we fade suddenly to Tobio waking up on a lab table. Dr. Tenma telling Tobio he must have suffered amnesia from the accident when Tobio asks who Dr. Tenma is. Afterward we get sequences of Tobio and his father spending time together, but any time Tobio's reflection is shown, it doesn't look like Tobio, it looks like Astro Boy. Then, one day, Tobio finally takes notice. He starts to feel his hair-- it's hard. He feels his skin, it's cold. He starts seeing the seams in his artificial skin and he wonders: "What is he?" He asks his father what he is, but all Dr. Tenma can answer is that he is Tobio. When Tobio insists, Dr. Tenma grows angry. Eventually, things boil over when Tobio picks up a photo frame of Tenma and his son, and says: "I'm not really Tobio, am I? Please tell me the truth..." To which Dr. Tenma is enraged and sends him to his room. "Tobio" sits in his room for a while. But then he opens a window and sneaks out, determined to find out who he is. God, this idea dates back to when I was in High School. I was cooking. I wish I had the skill to illustrate this after all this time.

…It would be a while before he could fully re-introduce himself to the world that was being built around him. A world built by Ochanomizu and Atom. However loudly the robot-fearing minority might bark, they couldn't hold a candle to the bright future those two promised.
