Read psycho nymph exile the other day and it actually got me to sit down and churn out some writing about fucked up girls and lateral aggression with underlying themes of how people seek community without knowing how to build stable relationships and it always ends badly for them

So thank you for writing such an incredible book to chew on. The literalization of trauma and examination of ptsd as a decay that destroys your future really got me thinking and the wheels turning, and I’ve been discussing it with the person who gave me the rec.

Hi! So my copy of torture works came in the mail. I'm having a hard time with the chapter" You mother has fallen out of love with you" can you explain the macaroni thing and the chapter please? Does the boy die in the suitcase ?

just some things that happened to me once! the normal life of a boy!

but like it says in all caps on the store page, "PLEASE JUDGE ME BY MY COVER", and "Take the worst shit of your life. Give it back." and "Endless humiliation. Degradation." there are millions of books in the world, please read whatever makes you happy. <3 the boy does not die in the suitcase. his suffering has only begun. things are going to get really bad now

absolutely ecstatic to find out that the passenger was on you 'inspired by' list!!! i watched that movie and i kept thinking "huh this is kind of like nice serious weakness" and i was right!!!!!!

now all i can think of is a horrible crossover between the two lol :3

it's not a list of inspirations. as the post says, I only encountered most of them after finishing the book. how could a movie from 2023 inspire a book written in 2021? it's just a list of media people might similarly enjoy. but I agree, it was a fun time! two boys in a car, the building block of society...
