Here's my attempt at Cjplays' latest Sims 3 shell challenge! I went with a modern/industrial theme and I'm honestly really happy with how it turned out. I used no store content or CC, except the stencil remover mod which you don't need to have for lots where it was used on to appear correctly. It was challenging, but super fun! If you want to download it, here ya go! Just plop it in your library folder. Lot size: 20x20

ISAAC DONOVAN - I

After retiring as a firefighter when he gets to level 10, Isaac wishes to live the rest of his remaining days fishing and training horses. He would have literally come full circle from his first day in Riverview. He never got to be a doctor, but that is okay. He knows that one of his children will one day carry on and fulfill that ambition long after he is gone. His Sci Fi novel was not even his greatest accomplishment in life. Rather, it was his marriage to his beautiful wife Naomi, and his 6 spectacular children. He has planted a seed with the beginning of this family, and he is all too sure that Naomi will keep the torch alive after he is gone. He will die a very, very happy man. *tear.

Isaac remains celebrated with a Firefighter Trophy of Honor, a science fiction novel, an autobiography, and a racing trophy that he won with his horse Chardonnay.

NAOMI DONOVAN

Naomi testifies that she has lived the most fulfilling and content life in her marriage to Isaac. He was a perfect husband and much, much more. Through the trials of earning to make a decent living , she has never felt more secure and more loved by a man than she did with Isaac Donovan. She is proud and honored to have carried and raised each of his six amazing children alongside him. Even though it put her body through so much strain, she would jump at the opportunity to do it all over again. She blushes at the thought of working alongside this man as a Firefighter for over a decade, she honors their memories together, and her best day remains the day they eloped and instinctively got themselves married at city hall in the peak night of winter. 

Naomi remains celebrated as the most loyal legacy wife, the first legacy wife, the role model for every future mate that would join the family, and a beloved mother and best friend to six children.

After he graduated high school, Julian decided it was time for him to introduce Christina to his parents. He knows that his father doesn’t have a lot of time left, and he would hate to regret his father missing the chance to ever meet his daughter in-law.

As soon as they met Christina, Isaac and Naomi almost easily gave him their seal of approval. By the end of her visit, she was practically family. Julian knew in his heart that she would turn out to be a great wife to him, sister to his siblings, and a worthy mate of carrying forward the legacy torch. He couldn’t wait to start building a foundation with her—built with love, support, aligned values, and peace of mind.

Isaac completes his autobiography inside the barn, with his loving wife seated right next to him. In a very heartfelt evening, he formally gifts it to Julian. It becomes the very first Donovan Family keepsake item that sets off a family tradition in which the passing of the memoir from founder to heir signifies the end of one generation and the beginning of the next.

Not soon after, Isaac Donovan the 1st passed away in spring while he was sitting outside with his wife at the backyard pond under the blue night sky.

Knowing that his father’s days are pending, Julian gloomily prepares himself for the role that he is about to take on as the heir of the household, its finances, and the entirety of the family estate. It is a lot to be responsible for, and the more he thinks about this huge impending burden, the more he wishes that his father would never ever leave his side.

Isaac—knowing this—therefore does everything he can to ease the burden of the transition for Julian and to prepare him as best as he can. That is why he works so diligently to finish his memoir so that he can gift it to Julian. It would serve as a guidebook for leading the family and a guardian angel looking over his son when he is no longer around.

Meanwhile, overtime Julian has learned that, for him to be worthy of taking on this role, he must be very careful in selecting who he chooses to partner with as his wife, his soulmate, and the mother of his future heir. Somebody who can, at the very least, only hope to live up to even a fraction of what Naomi is and was to his father. 

As a young boy, Julian was not much of a chatter with the girls at school. Unlike his brothers, Dustin and Eli, who just oozed out masculine cockyness and Ally who was the most rebellious and stubborn of the entire bunch, Julian was very reserved. Despite his striking outward resemblance to Naomi, he is very much a mirror-image of Isaac on the inside when it comes to personality. He inherited his father’s laid back, lone-wolf,  and disciplined persona.

As fate would have it, he struck up a friendship with a girl he met online. Her name was Christina Leyva. He kept up contact with Christina throughout all his years in high school without ever meeting her in person. They connected really well and he felt comfortable and natural being with her.

CHAPTER 4 - PASSING THE TORCH TO OUR HEIR

With their hours winding down, Isaac and Naomi put in their final bits of labor and love into the legacy house by completing their third and final renovation.  Isaac completes the construction of a fishing pond and horse barn; two dream hobbies that he wishes his children would always remember him by. Naomi adorns the barn with her and husband’s firefighting achievements and an intimate seating space with a fireplace, persian rug,  rocking chair, and her knitting kit beside it.

That ambient nook by the fireplace becomes their most peaceful sanctuary. They love to spend time there with each other reminiscing about old times during their youthful years. 

Before passing the torch, the last priority that Isaac hopes to achieve is to save up money to send Julian to college. It made him so happy to be able to  witness his first-born son go to college and it still remains one of the greatest joys of his life. Julian is therefore the first member of the Donovan family to ever attend college.

He pursues a degree in Technology with the hopes of becoming a clinical psychologist when he graduates.

On Christmas day, which turned out to also be Isaac and Naomi’s ten year anniversary, the parents decided to get each of the children gifts and they bought Julian his first car. They celebrate their anniversary with a quiet dinner at the Horse ranch where they first met.  Then the day after Christmas, Naomi threw Isaac and his coworkers a wonderful work promotion party. 

Despite the reoccurring financial challenges, Isaac and Naomi wouldn't trade this life with anything else and would not have had it any other way. The evidence of their hard work is in every inch and corner of the house and in their 6 children. Their aspiring heir grew handsomely into an attentive big brother who helped with raising his siblings while Naomi tended the home business--or vice versa!

Treating the work promotion party as his one last “Hoorah!” before retirement, Isaac begins to draft the chapters of his autobiography and he adopts his second horse named Chardonnay. He intends to spend the final days of his life racing in horse competitions, fishing at his newly-built backyard pond, and loving his woman with all his might.

To congratulate his wife for literally completing his only life’s ambition (to have 5 children), Isaac sends Naomi on a fully paid 1-week trip to Northerney. It is the most perfect, heavenly spot for a British fanatic like her. There, she spent her days tanning at the beach, having drinks at scenic spots, nursing her body back into shape, and making  friends with a few of the locals. She uses the free time to catch up on some reading, including her husband’s new book.

Upon completing the trip, she returned home feeling so blessed, so fulfilled and so thankful for her life, her loving husband, and most especially for their beautiful growing family. 

Soon, Isaac and Naomi were doubling down on their jobs to keep that stream of income on solid grounds and to provide the best for their five children. For a brief moment, they were on their highest horse....until a careless round of *YIKES*... in which Naomi carelessly forgot to take her birth control pills on time.

But of course, being the MVP that she is, she took this unplanned turn of events like a CHAMP-- i mean what a queen this woman is. She pushed through another pregnancy yet again and gifted Isaac with a healthy, beautiful baby girl named Layla, who was gracefully brought into the most loving and comfortable home.

CHAPTER 3 - FULLER AND FULLER HOUSE

Generation two came in full swing with the addition of a surprise set of twins-- paternal mates Dustin and Ally. With the parents now bringing in bigger paychecks from their joint fire-fighting missions, Isaac and Naomi splurged a-little with providing the kids with painted bedrooms, walkers, and toys. 

Julian got his own room in his favorite color, especially  as they noticed his personality beginning to emerge as an introverted and shy kid who solely enjoys his own company. It was great for him to have his own privacy, especially with the early difficult stages of introducing him to his newest siblings.

The appliance business turned out to be a great idea. It allowed Naomi to utilize her maternity leave, take away babysitter expenses, while bringing in money from the appliance sales. 

Things were going great. The  joint and consistently rising income gave Isaac and Naomi a lot of comfort and ease of mind. Because of it, they felt it was time to grow their family even more. After just a few tries, Naomi,  fortunate and blessed as she is, pushed out a second set of twins-- this time identical sets Emma and Eli. 

Man it was such a HIGH. The fuller house couldn’t be any truer. There was no break to be had! Every single second the house was filled with the cries of a child or two, or three, or FOUR. What a high it was to be caring for five children, with full-time careers, in a less than a 500 sq ft house. I mean, what a high. Naomi -- bless her heart-- definitely took a toll from this recent pregnancy and it was evident in her stressed physique.

Meanwhile, Naomi was sick and tired of having to constantly abide with her job’s lengthy maternity leave.  She is an active do-er,  so it sucks to feel so unproductive and barren for so long.  It felt like they literally cut off the stamina from right under her feet!The vacation was a perfect opportunity for them to pause for a minute and think about how to try things differently.

They took out a pen and paper and began sorting out their finances for when they get back. Isaac got a head start on drafting his first Science Fiction novel, “Surprise Progeny: The Alien Host Subject”. Working on this book brought him such relief and it became an outlet for him to safely explore the devastatingly abnormal occurrence that happened to him in the UFO.

Naomi dove into  their last little bit of savings to open a home-lot business and used her natural skill in handiness to upgrade household appliances and sell them at a profit. 

The return trip  brought about bundles of joy as Naomi found out she was expecting! This anticipation gave them the biggest drive they needed to  double-down on their new work-plan!

They felt stuck, and they felt overwhelmed. Only one person was making an income and, as they prepare to start trying for a second child, something needs to be done in the way of making consistent money. To make things worse, since the birth of Julian, Isaac and Naomi have not spent any genuine time together. They were always chasing the next paycheck. It was a horrible way to live and Isaac has been so guilt-ridden by the fact that Naomi deserves to be celebrated and deserves a well earned vacation. 

He wanted to thank her for being in his life, for loving him the way she does, and for bringing their child into the world. 

With a little saved up money in the bank, he jumps at an opportunity to take  the family on vacation. They have THE most wonderful time at the Isla Paradiso resort; a once in a lifetime trip that more than solidified the couples’ love for one another, their son, and optimism to continue pushing through to grow their legacy family through money, prestige,  and real estate. These three things, essentially, made up the #Donovanpromise.

They  were determined to dive into the deep end to break the paycheck-to-mouth cycle once and for all! Isaac needed a method to put himself on the medical radar since tanking his first chance at a job interview.

CHAPTER 2 - THE MATE OF OUR FOUNDER

Naomi was the sweetest addition to Isaac’s life since he moved to Riverview! It felt great to have a partner by your side who you could share your hurdles and good moments with. She was kind to Isaac, she was supportive of his dreams, she was patient during their financial struggles, and the best part? She worked hard alongside Isaac to provide the life they wanted for themselves. 

Once she moved into the barren estate that winter, she did not demand too much from him as a wife, and she seemed content living within the means that they were able to afford. Together, they renovated his little shack into the first iteration of a loving home.

They bought a cute double bed, applied fresh new exterior blue paint, gravel driveway, bought a brand new set of appliances, flooring, and began their new life working side by side in their profession. They had everything they needed, and they were happy within their means.

Soon comes their first-born child, Julian Donovan.  Although he was a sweet heaven-sent bundle of joy, Julian’s arrival brought about a huge strain on the couple’s stress-level.

They never got enough sleep, the baby was always crying, and with Naomi on a crazy-ass lengthy maternal leave, Isaac’s pay at the fire department barely kept them afloat.  He adopted his first horse to make some bucks through racing on the side, but that was short-lived when Saphire got taken away not long after.

As Isaac worked closely with Naomi, he got to know her better and he was absolutely admirable of the woman she turned out to be. He became fond of her maternal qualities and her high-energy persona. He knew she would be a great mother. She was a Scorpio also, which was a very compatible sign with his.

Following the devastation of his abnormal alien-reproduction, Isaac rushes back to the fire department, drops down on one knee and proposes to Naomi on the spot.

That same night, they eloped and got married outside city hall in the dead of winter. 

Isaac has achieved his first generational milestone:

he has found a mate!

As he rose up the promotional  ladder rather quickly at his job, he was about close to giving up on his legacy dream when a girl that he met almost 3 years ago joined the department as one of the newest recruits on his team. Her name was Naomi.

She was a dark-skinned girl with short hair and beautiful silver eyes. He remembers playing a water balloon fight with her at the parking lot the night that Heather broke his heart.  When Isaac learned that Heather was married, then later found out that she was expecting a child, he thought, “Welp! There goes my one chance at a possible wife. To think, she could have been the one!” 

Life got even  more devastating for our poverty-ridden fella when he became the unfortunate test subject for an alien baby experiment. Within three days of bearing a hugely terrifying belly, he found himself holding on for dear life as a foreign creature slid out of his stomach on his property in broad winter daylight! He had the option to either raise the alien or send it back to its homeworld. He chose the latter and hoped to never have any future contact with the surprise progeny ever again. In the conservative small town of Riverview, the absolute last thing he would wish upon himself is to be scrutinized by glaring eyes, fire-lit pitchforks and  knives! 

Giving up that baby was the biggest loss of his life, and he didn’t even know why, but it left him  feeling an intense need for fatherhood. He was guilt-ridden with grief and loss, and he was at the lowest point of his life, yet he swore to his grave that nobody would ever find out about his secret.

Not even Naomi. He was not attracted to her when they met, but their friendship took root organically, then grew by a lot when they became co-workers at the fire department.

CHAPTER 1 - HUMBLE AND ALIEN BEGINNINGS

Getting up on his feet was not an easy task for Isaac the moment he moved into 345 Riverblossom Hills Drive. Without any viable job availability in the daily newspaper/online  job board, he had to make do with his love for fishing, making constant runs to the consignment shop to trade in fish for quick cash grabs.  

With just a tent, a food cooler, trash can, toilet, and an outdoor shower, 3 years went by in a flash. Not only was he falling behind on  bill payments, but he was further behind schedule on his LT Wish: to be the founder of a legacy family.

His first love interest, Heather, who he could’ve sworn was made for him, rejected his online dating request three different times only for him to stalk her far enough to find out that she was married all along! The real question is; Heather, why were you on a dating platform to begin with?

In-between tending to his disappointment with Heather and literally trying to get by with just 5 Simoleons in the bank at one point, a terrible realization dawned on Isaac: he simply cannot get by through living this way. He picks up a job at the Fire Department only as a temporary solution until a position in the medical field opens up, so he can finally pursue his life-long dream of becoming a Doctor, second to his dream of starting a legacy family.

Little did he know that fate would have him at the department for close to 5 years before that opening ever became available.

Meet our Founder Isaac Donovan the 1st

A cute, charming, hard-working young man with a lot of discipline and ambition.

BACKSTORY: Isaac used to live in a small, tight space home with his grandparents. They raised him since he was a child, and he never knew his parents or what happened to them. When his grandfather suddenly passed away from old age, he passed down his will to his only heir, Isaac. The grandfather didn’t own much when he was alive, so it was to Isaac’s surprise to find out his grandfather’s biggest secret that was left in his name: a 60-acre plantation estate.

He inherited the vacant 60-acre lot in the rural, out-dated town of Riverview. Isaac now makes it his life’s mission to leave behind a legacy in the name of his beloved grandfather, Donovan the 1st. Without a dime to his name or any form of education, Isaac packs up his belongings and sets out to Riverview to fulfill his self-appointed life’s mission. His last promise to his grandfather is that he vows to turn the Donovan name into a multi-generational family dynasty.

He vows to gets a museum built in the family name and leave behind his estate and wealth for his heirs and their families in a blooming family legacy.

Hello! I am currently sharing update chapters on my first legacy gameplay and screenshots from my custom world progress.

My play-style is realistic; the more challenging, the better. I spend a lot of time on my town and building aesthetics. Not too heavy on cc, but I have a good amount of sims4to3 conversions and I play with a lot of mods.

Today, some of us are still very satisfied playing a heavily modded/nraas-dependent/error-code-12 sims 3 game that needs the occasional TLC every now and then XD #throwthewholegameaway!
