Preview's December 2012-January 2013 Girls' Night Out Editorial!

Don't you just love Sarah Geronimo on the cover wearing Mary Katrantzou? Well, being a Preview Girl, you know that I absolutely love every issue, but this issue has got to be the one I love the most so far.

Matt Gozun gave me one of the biggest surprises in my life when he called me and asked if I could assist him for an editorial for Preview Magazine! Obviously a no-brainer there!

Zen Health Magazine Features!

I don't know where to begin with this blog post. So I guess I'll just start with two words, thank you. Thank you was and is all I can say after seeing my name in Zen Health magazine for the August-October 2012 and November 2012-January 2013 issue. 

My good friend Alexa Villano phoned me and asked if I could give her some tips for her belt article, without a shadow of a doubt, I said yes! I was stoked upon seeing the article title ("Tightening the Belt") on the cover! 

Tada! Sorry for the crappy quality, that was my first shot of it, and it has a sort of sentimental value, hence, using it despite the quality for this blog post. My name was misspelled which isn't a surprise for me, haha! Thank you so so much Alexa! 

Another opportunity knocked on my door, and it came from someone named Angel Ermita. She needed tips for party dressing for all ages, specifically 20s, 30s and 40s. How could I say no to that?

Again, the title ("Party Wear for all Ages") was on the cover! I really enjoyed constructing tips for this article! And this issue is out on the newsstands so please grab a copy! It's for Php100 only! Blog post and plugging, yes, I am hitting two birds with one stone. Haha! Thank you so so much Angel!

To this day, I still can't believe what happened, both issues are such blessings for me this year! I am so grateful and humbled! Thank you so much Zen Health!

Launching the Leg Love and Elements Gold Toe Holiday 2012 Collection!

Last November 14, 2012, Leg Love and Elements Gold Toe launched their Holiday Collection at the Zuellig Building in Paseo de Roxas, Makati. I was indeed lucky to have witnessed the collections thanks to my good friend, Yanyan! He invited me together with two other bloggers, Joanna and Karl.

The fancy setup that night, which I must say, is perfect for launching a collection. The food as well was delicious! Too bad I wasn't able to take photos though. 

Well, I decided to share a photo of the venue, taken during the day so you could see how beautiful it is.

My Top 10 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show 2012 Looks!

Every latter part of the year, we all are watching out for the sexiest fashion show on earth, the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show! This 2012, the show had performances by Rihanna, Bruno Mars and Justin Bieber! Anyway, let's go right straight to it! My Top 10 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show 2012 looks! This is in random order, making me rank them would take forever! 

Toni Garrn. This should be in the dictionary right next to floral power! I love how the shoes work as the vines and Toni's body as the beautiful flower! Oh by the way, all the shoes in the show were made by Nicholas Kirkwood!

Joan Smalls. One of the segments of the show was all about the circus. I just love the Ring of Fire wings of Joan!

Erin Heatherton. Oh Erin, with that outfit, you'd make the audience go bananas! In a good way that is!

Doutzen Kroes. Doutzen truly is one of the prettiest angels. And when I say angel, I mean it! Doesn't she look like an angel to you? I love how they went over the top with the headdress, but went simple and still elegant with the bodice using just embellishments. 

Sui He. I died when I saw this, although the length was full on to the floor, Sui still oozed with sexiness! Plus the feather headdress, so chic!

Lindsay Ellingson. I love the bridal inspired look! Now, who would like to walk down the aisle wearing that? I know I do! Haha!

Miranda Kerr. Feathers everywhere this year! Well, this feather number may be bordering on show girl, but having Miranda wear it, took it to a whole new other level!

Candice Swanepoel. Candice for me, has the best runway walk! Her body has a mind of its own! I love the subtle feel of the feather wings paired with the umbrella. 

Lindsay Ellingson. It's Lindsay again! I love this look! Maximum amplification of feathers! I think this is the epitome of an angel, just look at her. 

Constance Jablonski. I mentioned earlier than the my top ten is in random order, but if I were to choose my ultimate favorite, this would definitely be it! The color palette is just perfect, especially with the hints of gold. I died seeing this on the runway, a showstopper I must say!

I don't know how they do it! Each year, they come up with new themes and designs! This year is one of my absolute favorites! Until the next one! (Credits to www.divinemlee.com for the photos)

Wrangler Fall/Winter 2012 Fashion Show!

Makeup Basics: Tools!

Now it's time for the last part of the makeup basics series! In order for the application and maintenance of your makeup to be spot on, well you need the right tools of course!

Brushes. Well, that's a no-brainer. It's good to start with the traditional 5-pc. basic set. Snoe Beauty Inc.'s set comes with a powder brush, concealer brush, eyeshadow application, eyebrow and eyelash duo, lip brush. And as you continue, you start collecting more and more kinds of brushes! 

Eyelash Curler. Our windows to the soul need a good set of curtains right? So in order for that to happen, I present to you, my favorite eyelash curler! E.L.F.'s Mechanical Eyelash Curler just curls all of my lashes and the curls stay intact!

Mirror. So that you'll be aware of how you look from time to time. I guess I stated the obvious there.

Oil Blotting Sheets. I am sure that no one wants to look oily right? So it's best to keep oil blotting sheets in your kit. Know that there is a difference between oil paper and oil film. Oil blotting films have much more power in terms of absorbing oil, and it doesn't rip compared to oil blotting papers.

Makeup bag. Of course! A makeup bag! What's the purpose of buying the basics when you don't have something to store them in? Make sure to match your makeup bag with your personality, and don't forget to consider the quality and size! 

That concludes the entire makeup basics series! Again, I am not a professional, this is just me sharing what I know about makeup! So, I hope that I helped you in my own little way!

Makeup Basics: Eyes!

Remember my posts about makeup basics for the face (here) and lips (here)? Well, it's time for the continuation! Let's now focus on the eyes!

Eyelid Primer. An eyelid primer preps the eye for eyeshadow. It will make the color stand out even more, and prolong the staying power. E.L.F.'s eyelid primer is seriously the best! Well of course, we are all fond of Urban Decay's Primer Potion, but this is a great substitute at only 129Php!

Eyeshadow. Well, it's really hard to select the best eyeshadow, so I went with one that is suitable whenever you are starting to explore the wonders of makeup, after all, is what the blog post is all about! E.l.f's quads are perfect for your makeup bag, it's small enough to fit your pocket, and it has good color payoff! Plus, the color selection will make you buy each and every quad! And guess what, it's also 129Php, that's about 35Php for each color!

Eyeliner. Revlon's Colorstay is beyond wonderful! It's retractable, waterproof, smudge-proof, and pigmented! Suffice to say, everything you need in an eyeliner, Revlon Colorstay has it! 

Mascara. One thing to consider is that mascara isn't one size fits all. What works for me, might not work for you. And I must say, Covergirl Lash Blast works the best for me! 

Eyebrow Pencil. Okay, so as we all know, eyebrows can make or break your entire makeup look. Which is why I suggest Etude's Drawing Eyebrow Pencil! For only less than 200Php, you get a double ended pencil that will create the perfect arch all the time! It comes in different shades too to match your brow color!

So this concludes the basics for the eyes! Watch out for the last part of this blog series, which is the basics for tools in makeup! Hope this helps! Again, I am not a professional, I am just sharing my opinion as someone who loves beauty as well!
