The fact that SM entertainment didn’t hesitate to remove him from the group just speak volumes about how severe the situation is and his involvement too. I am disgusted.

the fact that SM, who famously try to rehab criminals and will put idols on hiatus for years rather than move, kicked taeil out of the entire company and issued the statement right away means what he’s being sued for must be a new level of horrifying

I hope that the victims get the justice that they deserve. As fans, never be too blind. It is literally the idols job to make us fall in love with him.

﹙🍒﹚CHAPTER ZERO , lover boy

jeno is afraid the student dorms are about to burn down.

the guys on the third floor cannot bake, he doesn't want to be rude, but they genuinely can't! those burnt chocolate chip cookies are not worth almost making the whole building come down, and they are not worth his lack of sleep. he's afraid of closing his eyes and waking up to his room ablaze.

so, with anxiety being the only thing following him, jeno rolls out of his bed and grabs one of his loose sweaters. being seen in pajama pants is the least of his worries, he has to save a bunch of other innocent student from dying because the pair upstairs decide they want to bake.. again.

not having a roommate is a blessing in disguise, because nobody has to see him like this, hair barely styled, his pajama pants clashing with the random sweater he picked out with his eyes droopy. what a beautiful sight. donghyuck would laugh at him if he saw how he looked now.

opening his door, jeno wishes he had put on a bigger sweater, because the freezing air of the hallway practically stabs him in the face. still, he closes the door behind him, merely zipping it up a few inches and going about his night.

and what is lee jeno doing you may ask?

he's going to the third floor to give that couple (at least he thinks they're a couple, their whole relationship confuses him) a piece of his mind. some people just don't need to bake at two in the morning! he thinks he'll have to yell or something to get his point across.

but before jeno can even make it across the hall, he hears another door open, and his head snaps towards the sound instinctively. he almost wants to run away, but he keeps staring for some reason.

he's greeted by the sound of whistling, and the person who steps out of the open door doesn't immediately look up and notice him, instead focused on rearranging his sweater, but jeno can't help but stare.

he knows who that is, and he's absolutely gorgeous.

when you look up, you gasp in surprise, hand placed on your chest. "holy shit don't do that" you say, closing your eyes. "you scared me".

"sorry".

he's grateful he doesn't croak his apology.

you narrow your eyes, shoving your hands into your pockets, the cold leaving no affect on you as you again begin whistling. "did the guys upstairs disturb your sleep too?"

jeno bites into his inner cheek, there is no reason he should be getting nervous right now, because you aren't really doing anything. "yeah.. mostly, i'm thinking of going up there and yelling at them".

you snort at those words, hands remaining in your pockets as you step past jeno towards the staircase, and he scrambles to follow behind you, making sure he doesn't seem as desperate as he feels. "yelling? won't you cause more of a ruckus if you do?"

"i think there are much bigger issues, yn".

with the sound of your name falling from his lips, you pause, bumping into the entrance to the staircase. you blink, staring suspiciously at the pink haired angel in front of you. "i don't remember us exchanging names".

jeno can't resist the smile that crosses his face, he simply likes the way you say the words, your voice is music to his ears in this cold night. "we didn't have to, everyone knows you, you got three tens in a row at your last competition".

you seem surprised that anyone would know that, and jeno almost rolls his eyes at the expression he sees. "weird, i didn't think anyone cared about that".

jeno blinks. "don't think all of those people would've shown up if they didn't".

you ignore that statement, instead interested in the name of the boy who is keeping you company. "so are you gonna give me your name now?"

"don't you wanna guess?"

a small smile shows on your lips at the inquiry, and you open the door for him, a basic gesture that has his cheeks flaring up. "do i get a prize if i guess right?"

"um.. can i not answer that?"

another question, how amusing. this seems like a game of push and pull, but you want to continue entertaining this little game anyway. "fine, but could you at least give me a hint?"

jeno hums, pressing his lips together, pausing so he can think of something to offer as a response. "four letters".

you raise an eyebrow at that hint, it doesn't really tell you anything about his name. how does he expect for you to guess it from scratch? you frown at that thought, and jeno notices, because he snickers.

"my name starts with a j" he adds, and you smile, as if pleased by that other hint.

jeno thinks your smile is beautiful.

"okay um.. juho?"

jeno shakes his head.

"jiho?"

"nope" you let out a groan of exasperation, trudging up the stairs as you scatter your mind for all the j names you can think of. you frown at the lack of names coming to your mind. jeno almost chuckles at the look on your face, but he stifles his giggle so as to not piss you off.

"jae..? no? not jae?"

you frown again, you're starting to get irritated by this little guessing game. "you aren't really helping me out here".

"well you're supposed to be guessing on your own".

you sigh, turning around to begin walking up the stairs backwards. "oh come on, you get to know my name and i don't get to know yours?"

"that's not fun".

"oh and what would you know about fun pinkie pie?"

jeno gasps incredulously, feeling insulted by those words. "hey! that's offensive!"

"how? your hair is literally pink!" you pull at a strand of his hair, laughing at the way it feels. "it's my substitute for your name until i figure it out".

"i'm not sure if i'm going to enjoy that".

"then you can just tell me your name" you say, again holding the door for him as you two finally make it to the third floor. "..please?"

your question is asked so softly that just your tone of voice makes jeno's knees feel weak, but he's able to stand his ground, not giving into your charms just yet.

well he already has given into your charms, he's just pretending he hasn't.

"give me one more guess".

you drop your hands, glaring at him with feigned anger. "honestly, my mind is completely empty".

then, you frown again. "um.. je? is e the second letter?"

"you're getting warmer".

you gasp, you honestly can't believe you actually guessed that right. "just tell me!"

jeno rolls his eyes. "jen.."

"no? jeno? oh!"

you gasp in success, having to use your self restraint so you don't begin cheering right in that hallway. "jeno! how did i not guess that earlier?"

jeno only gives a shrug as a response, finding the familiar unit of the cookie burning culprits. "will you actually let me yell at them?"

you only lightly nudge his shoulder. "no stupid, i don't need you being reckless right now".

jeno frowns, disappointed. "that isn't fair! all they've been doing is disturbing us, i thought the apartment was gonna burn down last week".

your about to respond again but the door swings open, making both you and jeno pause in your conversation. you both stare at the guy in his strangely tight apron, exchanging a puzzled glance with your eyes. "..hi" you greet, gritting your teeth.

"why are you at my door at two in the morning?"

"why are you baking at two in the morning?"

"haha" your tone of voice is exaggerated as you nudge jeno in his chest. "what my.. friend here means is that.. well— you two are turning the temperature up too high and continue to start fires in your kitchen which is kind of a safety hazard".

"oh" the guy responds. he stares at you two for a moment, and jeno frowns again as he sniffs something burning. "sorry".

jeno narrows his eyes, clearly judging. "you brought it up better than your lover boy here did".

"excuse me?"

you blink, face twisting into a grimace. "thanks for the apology, stop trying to bake" you state, wrapping your arms around jeno's wrist and dragging him back to the staircase. he tries to fight against your grip, but you're much stronger than he expected.

"what are you pouting for?"

"i'm not pouting! it's just.. you didn't let me yell at him".

"it's too late to be yelling, jeno" you respond, and jeno can't focus on being mad because he's trying to not fall down the stairs at how you say his name. he hyper fixates on how you say every single letter, and he loves it.

"so what? are you walking me back to my unit?"

"we live like two doors away from each other, we're just.. taking a walk together" you say, shrugging. "technically".

jeno hums, getting stuck admiring your side profile. "taking a walk down the stairs?"

"yep".

jeno chuckles at that, returning your little nudge. "i'll make sure to yell at him when your asleep" he gives a wide smile, a smile you snicker at. "he deserves it!"

"maybe steal all his sugar too while your at it".

that makes jeno laugh, and he looks down at the floor, cheeks dusted red. "i'll make sure to do that" he responds, smile again on display. he stops in front of his door, and you walk past him towards yours, creating just a little distance between you two. "i'll bring it to you as evidence".

you roll your eyes, but your irritation is feigned as there's a clear smile on your face. "i'm looking forward to it, good night jeno".

jeno blinks, your smile, your tone, your fucking voice in it's all makes him go very very red. he feels his nod is much too enthusiastic, and he's very giddy when he says; "good night yn".

and maybe jeno giggles once he gets back behind his door, but no one should ever know that.
