In this house we understand that Goro is a minor who was only 15 when he encountered an incredibly manipulative and toxic adult who tricked him into murdering people for him and by the time Goro knew what he was doing, it was too late and he would die if he spoke out against Shido. In this house we understand that Goro is a hurt, mentally ill child who’s been torn in all directions by adults and has nothing to cling to but a sense of revenge that is probably the one thing that keeps him from committing suicide. 

In this house we don’t like redemption through death and know that Goro, a seventeen year old child, deserves a second chance. In this house, we want Goro to be saved and get the love and therapy he needs to find the happiness he was denied and then too frightened to reach for.

Reinhardt wasn’t chosen to join Overwatch. He may not have even been the second choice. He was the only Crusader of their order to walk out of Eichenwald alive. He is the last, and ultimately the one who would join Overwatch’s nascent strike team.

He would later become one of its greatest members, dedicated to its vision as a force for good in the world. He was the organization’s fiercest advocate and harshest critic, determined to prevent the organization from ever walking away from the righteous path. It’s noteworthy that prior to his forced retirement, Reinhardt’s efforts appear to have at least stalled the fractures that would later dismantle Overwatch from within.

And now years later, older now than Baldrich had been at the end, Reinhardt gazes at his old leader’s tomb. Eichenwald left untended for years, the scars from that terrible battle slowly worn and covered in dust and vines. So many lives cut short before their time, and Reinhardt, reckless and vain, the last member of their order still alive, and still yet to join his brothers and sisters in glorious death. But he’d lived with honor. How could he do anything less for them.
