Yesterday I did something amazing. Well, amazing to me. Something I never in a million years would have ever considered doing. I was a background actor in a short film. It was my first ever experience on a set of any kind and I had a blast. I was only in two scenes and my back was to the camera in almost every shot but gosh I feel like a star haha. Like Ricky Gervais in “Extras”. I can’t wait to do it again.

I started watching “Its a Sin” today. Gosh, what an emotional first episode (that’s all I’ve watched so far). What an amazing performs from NPH and the rest of the cast. The writing is amazing. Truly makes you feel connected to these folks who are living through such a terrifying time in history.

Also, I loved the soundtrack! Synthpop is one of my favorite genres.

Update on the scotch eggs. I just had one for lunch and it was amazing. So, maybe, day 1 scotch eggs not so good, day 2 scotch eggs heated in the microwave with a bit of sriracha *chefs kiss*

My first and probably last go at making scotch eggs. Honestly just too much work. And I’m not really sure I care for them.

I also made a pot of British style baked beans. Which is my new favorite thing to make (and eat). I can’t get over how different the flavor is from what we get in the US. I much prefer the savory over the sweet. Sadly, I’ve only found one grocery store that sells cans of Heinz baked beans in tomato sauce and they’re $4.19 each.

I’m so proud of myself 😊 I finished reading the first book I’ve read front to back in a looong time. “The Actor’s Art and Craft” by William Esper and Damien DiMarco. I’m no actor or even aspiring actor, I just find the craft fascinating and decided to learn more about it. It was a really good read and I highly recommend it.

I’m now reading Jenna Fishers “The Actors Survival Guide” and plan to read “The Actor's Guide to Creating a Character”, by William Esper and Damien DiMarco. I’m also working my way through “Good Omens” by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett.

2023 is going to be the year of reading for me!
