XAOC Contemporary Ballet seeks to create new dance works that challenge the choreographer, dancers, and audiences to rethink the way they shape their bodies and use music to explore a complex architecture of intensity and emotion through dance. The name XAOC is derived from the Greek ‘χάος,’ which means ‘chaos’ and implies explosive creation. It is meant to portray the spirit of the company as they move ballet into the future, while maintaining strong ties to classical form. www.xaocballet.org
