My favorite is "Oh boy i hope the evil monster hasn't been awoke yet. Can you make sure the big monster hasn't been awoken!?!?"

Use crossbow (doesn't work well but its funny as hell when you get a successful "parry" off with a crossbow) or pyromancy flame's non-fire attack in your off-hand to interrupt some enemy attacks by staggering them, making an opening for your main weapon to dish some damage. Another favorite of mine is to keep a dagger in my off hand (particularly the thief's dagger for the bleed) because low enough poise enemies will not be able to break out of your stagger, which is also hilarious to just watch as you unload 10+ slashes in a row into a helpless enemy and just melt their HP bar. This also works for staggering people out of moves sometimes Oh, and use a shield for dogs. Dogs are terrifying
I'm watching a streamer play Dark Souls. I've been warded off of Dark Souls by the discourse around Dark Souls, in the sense of like... when Hbomberguy types talk about why Dark Souls is good, they make it sound unappealing to me. But this streamer guy is making it look fun. So I kinda want to give it another try. Here's my question: what is the stupid way to play Dark Souls? I don't mean "stupid" as in "ineffective", I kinda mean the opposite. I mean like, suppose you are a guy who lacks the Dark Souls player ethos, you have no respect for what the game is meant to be or whatever. How would you play it?
I think different people may have different answers for this questions; I want to hear them.

Great question! I'm following like a rough outline and am kinda just winging it as i go along. It looks like the next step will be to cut out extra parts of the generated graph to make the dungeon less interconnected, then add in the rooms that the remaining lines overlap with. Add some doors and voila? I think lol. I'm working out as much out for myself as i can beside menial tasks like area of a triangle but it is a far more complicated process than anticipated.
Here's the post i'm following
Alright! Delaunay triangulation is officially, properly implemented. Notable roadblocks: Some boolean logic was terminating early because I one-lined it improperly A random test case was running on update constantly messing up the triangulation, causing me to question my sanity as I desperately figured out why it was flipping things back and forth Swizzling and figuring out the order the elements had to go into the matrix. At the very least, they have to be ordered counterclock wise, and just for good measure I matched the order to this diagram (again, courtesy of wikipedia)
And finally, we no longer needed a test for convexity as the Delaunay process handles that case as well! meaning it was actively getting in the way of the algorithm and had to be removed! Super excited to move on from this nightmare

You should see the near softlock i got myself into before i knew wall cling was a thing. I have a video earlier on this blog, i'm super proud of the absurd platforming it took to do lol
Somewhat major skip in Pseudoregalia! Allows you to get wall cling before the wave dash. Not super useful and in a speedrun, wavedash is way, way more important but still fun! I kind of want to see if I can route out wavedash entirely! I missed wall cling in my first play through up until a point where I absolutely need it for a major key, but eventually I'd like to route out wall cling, if I can overcome a few impossible tasks

Minor skip I found in Psuedoregalia. Makes getting the wavedash a bit easier, faster route to wall cling / wavedash / projectile bounce

Talus Go Round! Recorded footage from my (failed) attempts to construct a platfrom large enough to steer a talus by manipulating its AI. What you see here is the somewhat comical result. Testing shall continue with more extreme methods in the future

Reblogging this to my new gaming blog because I want a place to start posting stuff like this. So throw back to this super fun skip I found back in Pseudoregalia! For reference, you should have the wall grind here
When I hit the save button I visibly exclaimed "Possible softlock lets goooo!" and my s/o went "I worry about you sometimes" lol. Luckily it is not a softlock, it is possible to get back. Past this you are pretty stuck but its a fun little clip!
Loving Pseudoregalia by @rittzler so far! Really impressive movement system and some amazingly tight platforming. Seriously moving around in this game is so much fun, I cannot recommend it enough. The movement feels like a 3d hybrid of celeste and hollow knight at times and god its just so much fun
