“Some people have.” Ari smiled. “I try to make it welcoming to all. Nearly everyone who has come in here has found something of interest.”

When she examined the shark teeth, he nodded, taking out a few to hold them to the light. “Most are from great whites,” he said, “obviously, but I have some leopard spotted shark’s teeth. And a few other species. Of course, the great white is a better candidate, as any teeth they lose is regrown without issue.”

At the mention of an island, Ari looked a little interested. “Oh? Which one? I’ve seen many over the years.” Many who had come and gone, coming from the sea as if brought to life in an instant, before being flooded or barren within a century or two. But many had stayed stubborn.

“Quite often if they’re lost. But they always become interested in the shop and look around for a while. They don’t necessarily have to buy anything, I do this mostly for my own enjoyment.”

Following her into the shop, he did feel a bit pleased that she seemed to like it. Various items and gemstones were placed neatly on the shelves, with cards that stated what they were and what purpose they served, as well as prices.

Her question made Ari smile a bit, leading her to the section reserved for beach like items. “I have conch shells, polished to perfection, as well as other shells for collections. Some sea star fossils I found in the rock that would interest some. Some old shark teeth that washed up onto the shore, as well as plenty of sea glass in glass jars, good for decoration.”

“Okay. That makes sense.” Came her response, smiling a little with a light laugh. “Though I don’t blame people for being so interested in the shop. I could see myself happily spending a good hour in here.” Everything she laid her eyes on just kept grabbing her attention, wanting her to look it over and ask so many questions. But that could hold off for just a bit.

Following behind him, her eyes only lit up even more when they reached the section with items that made her think so much of home. With each item mentioned, she took a glance at them, moving in closer to inspect the shark teeth more closely “This is absolutely amazing. I’ve never seen shark teeth like these before!”

She let herself be distracted by all the items, delicately holding the shark teeth in her hand before returning her focus to him. “This really is incredible. All of this stuff makes me think of the island I’m from. Well.. Most of the stuff here actually.”
