It is with much sadness that we have to inform our members, that our current President, Danny Wiggin, passed away in the early hours of this morning in hospital.
Our thoughts go out to his family at this sad time.
Details of his funeral will be published as and when we know them.

Ladies County Final
Sunday 15th September 2019
In a repeat of last years final, Warwick & Worcester's Ladies once again take on Shropshire to lift the crown. This is the 3rd time in 4 years the two teams are meeting in the Final, it currently stands at 1 win each, us last year and Shropshire in 2016. Hopefully our ladies will make it a 2-1 advantage come the end of the game and follow the men in retaining the title.
The finals are being played at Florence Tennis & Bowling Club, Stoke-on-Trent, 2pm start

Colin Weaver funeral arrangements
To whom it may concern
After a long struggle Colin Weaver has passed away, he was a member of K.H.P.  W.E.Cons,  and a previous W&W County Player for many seasons.��
The funeral will take place on Tuesday 23 JULY @ SUTTON COLDFIELD CREMATORIUM B75 6LG, At 10-00a.m. 
Afterwards at the Crown F.G..M.N. FROM 12-00 onwards.
The family have requested  family flowers only, any donations to Focus Birmingham. The family have also requested that bowlers wear either club  or county shirts.

Veterans County Championship Finals
I am pleased to confirm that the finals of 2019 Veterans County Championship, which will be contested between Lancashire, Potteries & District, Warwick & Worcester and Yorkshire, will be held at Ashton Cricket Club (OL7 0AU) on Thursday 1st August.
Ashton Cricket Club is just two minutes off the M60 junction and the entrance to the green is opposite KFC on Lord Sheldon Way. The club will provide food and drink from 9.15am and the bar will be open from 12 noon.
The finals will follow the same format as the regional qualifying rounds with all matches played on a round-robin basis, 21up off 3, the winners being the county with the most points.

W&W Mens Veterans Qualify for Finals Day
Congratulations to our Mens Vets team who qualified from the group stages of the Vets County Championship at the Goodyear BC, Pavilion Club, The Pavilion, Stafford Road, Wolverhampton WV10 6AJ.
The squad made up of: Bill Kinchin, Bob Hickman, Ron Regan, Tony Eaves, Colin Ashfield, Dave Clarke, Bob Jones, Steve Davies and Tony Toal played against Staffordshire, Shropshire and North Mids.
They lost their opening game to home team Staffordshire 161-144, but then beat Shropshire 166-108 and North Mids 160-134, in which time Staffordshire lost to Shropshire by 4 shots.
W&W qualify with a better aggregate overall, well done to all involved.

Three Merit Finals in 2 weekends.
Sunday 23rd June saw two of the Associations Merit finals come to completion.
At Boldmere Sports and Social the congratulations went to Ryan Prosser who won the W&W 2019 David Perry Mens Individual Merit beating Josh Hale 21 - 15 in a fantastic final. Six qualifiers represent W&W at the All Britain at Rolls-Royce BC in Derbyshire.
Also on 23rd June was the re-arranged weather affected Ladies Merit Final at Moor Lane.
Congratulations to Steph Witherspoon on winning the W&W 2019 Debbie Williams Individual Ladies Merit. In an extremely close fought final Steph overcame Emily Kernick 21-18 and both played amazing.
Well done to the 4 players who have qualified for the ladies All Britain: Steph Witherspoon, Emily Kernick, Maliza Herbert & Anne O'Loughlin.
Sunday 30th June, and it was the time of our Juniors at Solihull Marsh Lane.
Congratulations William Clarke on winning the W&W 2019 Junior Individual Merit beating Taylor Miller 21-6 in the final. Both players qualify for the Junior All Britain in Kendall.

Today, Friday 5th July at 14:30, Newton Road Crematorium we say goodbye to our good friend and past president, Micky Mitchell.
You have been a loyal servant to the Warwick & Worcester Bowls Association as well as bowls in general for many years, especially the juniors you have nurtured along the way.

If you can’t make the crematorium, join his friends and family at the Wake at The Great Barr club to celebrate Micky’s life.
