My friend, can you imagine that I have become helpless? 💔‼️

I am Ahmed, I live with my father, but life has become very painful between hunger, thirst and other things. I went to the aid south of Rafah, where the Americans hold the aid, and I went to get food, but they opened fire on us and my leg was shot, and now I am disabled. 💔 They put iron in my leg so it wouldn't be amputated. If I don't take the necessary treatment that the doctors prescribed for me, my life will deteriorate and they will amputate my leg. But they performed a very dangerous surgery on me, and after several attempts, the operation was successful. They threatened me that if I didn't take care of myself, my leg would be amputated. 😭😭 I had a simple life, a warm home, and my mother died. She used to fill our lives with light. But the war took everything from us... Our homes were destroyed, our dreams were burned, and all that remained was pain and fear. 😭

Can you imagine that I die and my leg is cut off and I remain disabled for the rest of my life, and I am in the prime of my youth? 😭😭 Can you imagine what it means to me? I am a person like any other human being. I went to get food so that we can live. Every day we die of hunger. The Israeli army started shooting at us and most of the people were martyred. I was shot in the leg, and in my last moments they saved my life by cutting off my leg. But after that, will I die or will my leg be cut off? 😭😭

Can you imagine the hunger and thirst that we live with every day? I die of hunger every day of my life. My father is sick with Sultan's disease, multiple sclerosis, and pneumonia. The doctors tell me that your father will one day pass away. He will lose his sight and stop seeing anything. Can you imagine it? 😭😭💔💔💔 No, no, I can't imagine it. I am in your hands. Please help me.

The doctors told us that we only have one option to save him: my life. An urgent and complicated surgery to save my life will be in a few days to reattach the tendons and so that I can move my leg. 😭💔 Can you imagine a person who does not move his leg and remains helpless and filled with sadness over the loss of my mother? Also, my father is sick with diabetes, hepatitis, and multiple sclerosis. They said that at any moment my father will be separated from life and will stand still and live blind and unable to do anything. ‼️

Look at our meaning. I live in dilapidated tents. We go to a place about 100 meters away to go to the bathroom. 💔 We live in dilapidated tents and everything is separate from the details of life. Everything. Every day we die of hunger. I never imagined. 😭

To those who still carry a shred of humanity,

To anyone who has ever felt sorrow upon hearing about hunger, or seeing a child with no food —

I write to you with a heavy heart, full of sadness and helplessness.

The last donation I received was four days ago — only $20. Since then, nothing has come.

The situation is unbearable. Prices are still burning high, and the markets are almost empty. Even when food is available, it’s far beyond what we can afford.

It’s been four days now — four long, painful days — that my family and I (my mother, my father, all of us) have gone without any real food.

We try to stay strong, to convince our hunger that we’re tougher than it… but hunger wins every time.

Can anyone truly imagine what this feels like?

To see your loved ones hungry?

To look into your mother’s eyes and know you have nothing to offer her — not even a piece of bread?

I didn’t write this to seek pity, but to cry out with a voice that often goes unheard:

We are still here… but slowly, we are disappearing.

Please, don’t forget us. Don’t turn your back on those who still cling to their humanity.

25/07/2025 - It’s Mohammed’s 24th birthday today!

This is the second birthday he has celebrated in the midst of a genocide.

I can assure you that since I first met Mohammed Ayesh, @/blackeagleplog, in May 2024, he has been steadfast and considerate of others all while trying his very best to survive with his family. His current responsibilities include:

- finding food for himself, his parents, his sisters and his brothers while the whole of Gaza faces famine

- organizing the @ihyaasociety which provides a space for students to study

- continuing his university course online

ghazzah has no food. this is the most important thing you can say today. the israeli occupation has gotten away with starving 1.8 million+ ppl for long enough to where tht ppl are dying everyday from it now.

protests are no longer effective. there must be a loud, consistent, and coordinated response to the continued policy of collective punishment. because 85% of Gazzans are malnourished. these people will die if we don’t take real action NOW.

what is also important is to keep assisting palestinians in gaza via donating to their campaign. the $ is still used in various ways whether that be for sourcing scarce medical supplies, water, future evacuation, etc. support @blackeagleplog’s, my dear friend mohammed who’s become his family’s sole provider at 23 years old, campaign here. he’s been severely weakened by hunger & told me today he’s only ate lentils once.

I am salah from Gaza. I have two children, Youssef, 12 years old, and Nour, 7 years old. Because of the fierce war, we lost everything we owned, I’m lost everything made... and my children lost every beautiful thing in his life. We were displaced to the south of the Gaza Strip several times. We endured a lot of meager and contaminated food and drink, and we were exposed to close-up death in all its forms... and we survived it miraculously. I feel pain as I write to you...as I had to start this castle to save myself and my family from this humanitarian disaster... Save my family... a few weeks ago abdul rahman started a campaign for his family, he lost a home, and they've been living in tents and displacement since, the campaign hasn't gotten very far, we need more engagement, we need for people to think of him, we need for all of us people to care for him, please on his behalf i ask you all to extend kindness to him and his world, his family.

he tells me this fence is what separates him from leaving a land where they're not being allowed to keep their roots, he has lost a brother to the incessant bombings, but he keeps hope of helping the rest of his family survive.

but first the damn barriers put in place to keep them inside even as we try to help them, we don't know what fate has in store as the violence changes and intensifies; so these campaigns and similar initiatives are the only way we ensure the survival of families because the crossing is not the only things these funds help cover, understand they can mean life on any given moments. it is why others have united efforts to try to feed as many but it's all meant to serve the same purpose, for palestine to get through a genocide.
