In the mood for a noodle run!!! The ever mesmerizing Mrs. Chan is seen wearing one of her many stunning cheongsams/qipaos in one of the most important sequences in the movie (at least for me). Her encounter with Mr. Chow, particularly in that alleyway, establishes how their interactions/dynamics will play out throughout the film. Those sequences also explore the degrees of separation and distance between them while remaining conscious of how each other's presence lingers in their quiet moments; thus, the intense trial between restraint and longing.
