can you recommend some good fanfics? :) any fandom is appreciated!

Ooh okay nonny! I personally only tend to read uncharted x reader fics, but I read some DA ones as well :)

My all time favourite fic is by @writing-wayward-winchesters, and it’s a Sam Drake x Reader fic. It’s called “His Greatest Steal” and it has 15 chapters!

Current fan fic writers for sam that I always read are @fhujami and @missdictatorme and they both know how much I utterly adore their work! Both have current fan fics in progress atm, as well as one shots and drabbles. I recommend all of their work but my personal favourites of theirs are “Finding Home” by @missdictatorme and “My Other Half” by @fhujami!

@unchartedwrites has A LOT of amazing fics for a lot of uncharted characters (pretty much everyone I think?) so if sam isn’t you cup of tea then I definitely recommend checking them out! (they do write for sam tho just making that clear haha)

to this day, @lady-redhaired‘s teen sam fic “A Thief’s Overture” is one of my all time faves and I hope one day she can finish it (I understand it isn’t that easy when you don’t have time or inspiration however)

my darling @c-3pno has written SO MANY amazing fics for sam, and I highly recommend reading them all! She’s not very active anymore and I miss her but her work is still up! :)

also @weaver-of-tales  has one, if not the best series of sam x reader fics that all link together! It starts with “So I’m Your Tech Support”, then continues with the same characters into “Les Chats du Guerre” and then leads into “The Jewel of the Ortiz” where it ends! It’s such an amazing series and the relationship between sam x reader is so realistic it made me cry on numerous occasions haha!

as for DA fics, I tend to read anything that appears on my feed, but my personal favourite writers are: @the-tevinter-biscuit @fadedforyou @celeritassagittae @cullenstairshenanigans @kauriart @elfrooted

and for uncharted fics in general, these guys also write amazing stuff: @unchxrted @solarsystemus @yenneferofvengerbxrg @crazy-rafe-madler @paintingcrimsons @s-d-t-s (although they don’t write for sam or any uncharted anymore but their fics are still up!) @carminnat

You flinched at the apology. It sounded like it was over already. You looked up, seeing Chloe in front of you, her face pained as she waited for your reaction. You sighed and leaned back in your seat, trying not to let your emotions rule your head.

"Is he alive?" You forced the words from your mouth, even if you didn't want to hear it if he wasn't. Chloe met your gaze, but dropped it quickly when she answered.

"He was... But I haven't heard from him in a few days. He could be fine. But I didn't want to wait any longer. His last message was to find help."

You nodded and stood up. "So this Asav has my husband?"

Chloe nodded.

You deserve a gold medal, a frickin Nobel Peace prize, a Grammy and a frickin Oscar for His Greatest Steal! My back hurts from sitting in my chair and just clicking and reading every new part. I am finally going bathroom and finally eating dinner! Great job. Honestly GREAT job. I'm happy that I constantly look for "Sam Drake x Reader" fics bc this one was my absolute favorite. Amazing job and thank you so much! Is 15 really the last part? Don't break my Sam Drake trash heart.

12. What was your last dream about?

I dreamed that I was at a water park for assassins last night. For some reason they operated out of this abandoned waterpark in the moutains, and I’d gone in to infiltrate their group. I got discovered and we had an epic showdown on the old slides, that for some reason still had water on them. I cant remember everything, but I know I kept sliding too fast down the slides and almost dying as I went over the cliff. Somehow I survived that, but I can’t remember if I managed to take the assassins down.

Somewhat random, but I was watching action films before bed, so that’s probably why.

Living a normal life after working for S.H.I.E.L.D since you were 16 was a hard transition, that you had to admit. You decided to retire after dating Bucky Barnes and Fury found out. He’d not been impressed that one of his best agents was dating the Winter Soldier, even if you made a great team and Bucky was fighting on the right side now. But he wasn’t happy, and one day he’d called you and Bucky into his office and given you the ultimatum. You had to break up, or one of you couldn’t be on the team anymore and he’d transfer that person to an international base.

You’d been so mad at him meddling in your life that you didn’t even think about it before you handed over your ID and told him that you were done. You knew he hadn’t been expecting that, but you didn’t care enough to stop as you left the building, Bucky close by, begging you to reconsider, knowing how much you loved being an agent.

But you’d refused and the two of you stayed together, moving into a nice house in New York, which was where you spent most of your retirement. It was nice. Quiet. Uneventful even. Well, most days.

Since you left, Fury seemed to be getting his revenge for losing one of his best agents by making you regret it. Bucky was constantly sent on missions over seas so you barely had time together. It was pissing you off to no end, but you weren’t ready to call it quits on your relationship so you could go back to work.

So you got used to living a normal life, even if some days you struggled more than others. Your past week had been one of them days.

Bucky had been gone five days after only being home for a single day, and you were losing the plot, being left home alone. It had gotten bad enough that you had pretty much given up on doing anything, and instead you decided to lie down on the floor in the kitchen for a little nap.

You’d been there maybe three hours when something woke you up. You were slowly waking up when you heard your name be shouted and the sound of feet pounding towards you.

Opening your eyes, you automatically reached for a weapon, but relaxed when you saw who had entered your home. Bucky.

He was standing over you, his eyes wide with panic as he looked over you, searching for any injury before kneeling beside you. “Are you ok? Did you hit your head?” He asked gently, his metal hand feeling your head while his other gently stroked your face.

You were confused for a second, but then you realised he’d thought something had happened and you were hurt because you were on the floor. Smiling, you shook your head and took his hand. “I’m fine. Just a little sleepy,” you confessed, sitting up and kissing him before he could say anything. “I missed you,” you whispered, and he nodded, pulling you into a hug. 

You could feel the bandages under his hoodie so you pulled back and looked at him. As if he could sense your question, he quickly diverted and gestured to the ground. “You know we have a perfectly good bed up there for when you get sleepy?”

You just snorted and allowed him to help you to your feet. “I haven’t had the best week. I’d take Hydra over this any day,” you muttered, pouring two glasses of water and handing Bucky his.

He took a sip, watching you over the top of the glass and waiting for you to elaborate.

Bucky looked a little lost for words for a moment, but then he cracked a smile and suddenly you knew what was coming. “Babe, you’re a retired Agent of Shield, I’ve seen you take on men twice your size, unarmed. But you were defeated by a wasp?”

You glared at him and ignored the jab, instead addressing his wounds. “At least I’m uninjured. What happened to you?” You demanded, angry at the thought that it could have been serious.

He explained that someone had managed to sneak up on him, but it wasn’t too bad. You knew from the look in his eyes that he was lying about that. He was in pain.

Instead of getting more mad, you just sighed and moved closer, leaning into him again for comfort. “I can’t do this anymore,” you confessed, feeling his hands pause their circles on your back as he misunderstood what you were saying.

“Us?”

You frowned and pulled back, giving him another glare before kissing him hard on the mouth. “No, not us,” you clarified as you pulled back. “I mean this life. I want to be an agent again… But on our terms this time… We go to Fury and say I’ll come back, but only if you and I are a team. We go on missions together and watch each others backs. We make a great team, and he knows that. If he can embrace that and use it to his advantage, our problems will be solved.”

Bucky ran a hand through your hair, smiling down at you. “Do you think he’ll agree though?”

You nodded. “He’ll have to. He misses me far too much to refuse.”

#39 Sam Drake x Reader for the prompt thing ?

39: “You my friend, are a filthy sinner, and I approve wholeheartedly”

You weren’t sure what had happened. One moment you and Sam had been running from the police, sprinting up quiet streets in the middle of the night, hoping you weren’t about to have your heads blown off over the tiny compass you’d stolen from the museum. Yeah, it was probably worth more than any other treasure you’d found, but still. It was gonna be your map to your next adventure.

In the next instant you were yanked inside a doorway and Sam was pressing his hand against your mouth, keeping you quiet while he peered out of the door you were leaning against, looking for your pursuers. You heard when they ran past, and felt Sam slump against you in relief as you weren’t discovered.

He chuckled and rested his head on your shoulder while the two of you caught your breath. “That could have been bad…”

You nodded and he looked back at your face.

“We should probably lay low a while… Get comfy in here for a few hours…” He suggested, but you smirked and grabbed the front of his shirt, fluttering your eyelashes at him and pulling him closer.

“I can think of other things to occupy our time for a while,” you flirted, Sam’s hands moving to your hips and tugging you closer to him, even as he looked around again and chuckled.

“We’re in a church…” He hinted, but you just shrugged, unbothered.

He laughed and moved his mouth to your neck, growling into your skin. “You my friend, are a filthy sinner, and I approve wholeheartedly.”
