Wait what’s going on?

THOMAS: When I was a kid I used to think Mr. Nook as a reasonable businessman, a little cold but reasonable

THOMAS: that changed the day I got fired for trying to talk to him about this guy "Crazy Redd" if I told you he flipped his lid over him I'd be downplaying it.

THOMAS: I knew I had to dig a little deeper, figure out why he'd freaked out

THOMAS: While trying to figure this out at a diner I met one of Mr. Nooks old friends, Dr. Blathers who told me enough about Mr. Redd and Mr. Nook to fill a novella. They'd been partners for some time until some debt collectors came a knocking, and shockingly Redd was nowhere to be found.

THOMAS: And this made no sense, why would Mr. Nook work so hard to hide a story where he did nothing wrong when he could easily milk it for sympathy. So I went out looking for the Orange man himself who had somehow broken out of jail. (to this day he wont tell me how he managed it)

THOMAS: He told me he had taken out some debts... and he had left Mr. Nook to deal with them. But after that when he got caught for some misdemeanors Mr. Nook rigged his trial so he’d never see the light of day again.

THOMAS: Of course no one would believe us if it was just our word against his

TIM: While you guys were breaking and entering, Mr. Nook told me the story of his youth. How Redd, came into his life and left him with nothing, not even his own tail.

THOMAS: Well I never said the guy was a saint

TIM: Later that night we had our discussion

THOMAS: and I had to get out of the house to cool off, this cute girl from the Diner had tossed me her number

TIM: you did not stop your whole quest for justice to go on a date

THOMAS: well does it even really count as a date if she was just there to get me out of commission so SOMEBODY could take my place?

TIM: Mr. Nook overheard you talking about your plan in the security footage and thought it was the only way to make sure you didn't get locked up for harboring a fugitive

THOMAS: You really think he did it for me and not just to save face?

TIM: Are you really gonna go through with this?
